Once I almost rolled off my bunk bed and like half way I woke up and landed on my foot and didn't wake anyone up then it happened to me again but ended up falling on my face lol
A basic weight training program never hurt anyone. Don't need to be a gym rat, a basic 531 or easy strength program works wonders. It's impossible to be the best version of oneself without a little strength training...
Omg 😮 this is so helpful! I tried this a couple tries and failed because I was afraid to go higher but in the end I lifted up my hands a bit so I could lunge into them and I did it! Thank you for this tutorial! ❄️
First you need to learn parkour roll and diving for this move try that hollow positions in a pool make it 20-25 times then try parkour roll on a soft surface for 5-10 times and then try it on a harder surface then mix this 2 movements on a soft surface for 10-15 times later go out and try it on grass
Omar Garcia yea do this in a corner and if you go slinted you will hit your head of a wall first check your head second don't do this... I learned it the hard way
Hey Jonathan, Everything has been going great with the training course! In fact, I've been super motivated, making great progress, and having a lot of fun with training program! I've really been enjoying it and have been devoting my time to training... having less time to keep up with our e-mail correspondence. I've also been following your posts here on youtube. You guys are only getting better and better! I've gotta tell you,,, not only do I appreciate that you've found the time in your busy schedule to respond to my messages but, when I read that you would actually be willing to schedule some time to meet in person, I was more than pleasantly surprised... I was completely & absolutely impressed! With that gesture alone you guys have truly out done your selves, for that matter most in the industry, and have totally earned my respect, admiration, & appreciation! I hope you both have a safe and enjoyable visit with your fam in Colorado. I'll definitely be looking forward to your return and and the opportunity to meet with you guys sometime thereafter. Thanks again, ChrisT. BA, ATC, CSCS
He actually demonstrates 3 different ways to do this, which in theory, you should be testing for yourself in a softer environment to see what's more comfortable.
Thanks for this! Was making animations for a game and it's really nice to be able to just stop and go through frame by frame to figure out the poses. Makes me want to get into it irl :)
Me and a couple of friends have been doing parkour for about a year though we are only 13-14 each and we are still at a novice level but I'll be sure to try this and see how it works
Hey tapp brother, I'm write from turkey. Turkey haven't any parkour course. I training myself with videos. And you guys, yours helped me. thank you very much for all videos :)))
In regards to flat ground, as portrayed in the tutorial. There are a few (minor) flaws in regards to refining the technique. For example, in the video, the initial hand placement has three positions. In my opinion, wide open on both hands is best to dissipate the kinetic energy that travels through your body when rolling on a flat surface. The "Blade" primarily utilizes only the Tricep (outer upper arm - landing) and Brachioradialis (inside forearm - recovery), and the "clenched fist" relies heavily the same combination, stressing the joints and ligaments unnecessarily, and again relying more heavily on flat ground. Would it make sense that a falling roll is worlds away from rolling on a surface higher than your jumping point? This video is excellent, but Parkour is inconsistent, and the fine details will either make or break your line. And that's what counts, isn't it? What does your roll default to?
I taught myself to dive roll before becoming interested in parkour but it was clunky. After getting into parkour I got much better at it & it is one of my favorite things to do.
This really helped me! I've been going to lessons with friends and doing some volting some things and climbing but I've not tried rolls of things yet, so this help me a lot!
I just see one of your video and i already the subscribe button. Cause I'm addicted to parkour and you can explain in clear way. Sorry for my bad English. 😅
i would like to meet u guys but sadly im in the Philippines. And i also like your tutorials and i hope u can inspire people to break their bones and receive bruises just to master the laws of physics.
I have a question! I am learning the parkour roll and I see on a lot of videos, that these guys are rolling on concrete and gravel and it looks like it doesn't bother them or hurt, yet when I do it hurts my back mainly my spine. I have no injuries or anything like that, but it certainly does hurt when I do a roll. Do you professionals feel the pain from rolling on hard ground or do you just not feel it over time? Will I always feel the pain when I do a roll? Thanks!
I used to be able to dive roll over 6 people. Then I tried to do a double Kong and almost broke my head from falling between the vaults, now I'm afraid of jumping gaps so I quit but, I was hanging out with someone the other day and he was like "You used to be like a parkour queen. What happened?" So I decided to get back into it. Still afraid of gaps though so I'm learning to dive roll over a specific gap first.
well you have so many directions to roll actually. In order for you to defend against an armed fighter with blunt weapons you must evade those attacks by using a ukemi (in this case a different directions to dive roll) to evade those movements.
what I do personally when ever I do any kind of rolls is I would swing my arm a bit hard that way my momentum would help me get back to a standing position faster.
before I learned how to even roll proper, I fell off my bike going way too fast, and I ended up doing a dive roll on cement road, and multiple people saw it. I felt like a total badass, and it was shortly after that was when I started parkour for real
Once, I accidentally jumped off my bed and somehow was able to do a dive roll. I was amazed and tried to do it again. I almost broke my spine. .-.
Most people can do light parkour when the brain truly thinks it's in danger, say, for instance, what you described.
Most of the time our instinct is against us, untrained people tends to extend their legs when they fall, to reach the ground asap
Once I almost rolled off my bunk bed and like half way I woke up and landed on my foot and didn't wake anyone up then it happened to me again but ended up falling on my face lol
Nathex does stuff I fell off a ladder about one story up and landed rolled on the garden , I was fine.

If your getting injured; lay off of doing this for awhile and let your body rest
Omar Garcia yea do this in a corner and if you go slinted you will hit your head of a wall first check your head second don't do this... I learned it the hard way

Yeah i do it over my shoulder, but still, my shoulder hurt when i do it on hard surfaces

Isn't the point that your not supposed to put up a lot of resistance in your arms and mostly put your hands down for balance?
My hand landed on a bee once- I drove the stinger straight into my palm. What are the odds, right?
