In this video I show you what a complete beginner in calisthenics can easily do after one year of training. I started with no prior knowledge and without the necessary basic strength. I started with 10 bad push ups and 2-3 bad form pull ups. Now I can do about 5-6 muscle ups, 20 pull ups, 50 push ups, single leg front lever, ring muscle up etc.

Mastering the basics is really important. Starting out as a lean and fit climber I could start my calisthenics journey with muscle ups and weighted pullups granted. Watching some Transformation videos on youtube can be really unmotivating, because you project the progress they make on your own journey. Most people start out already with years of prior basics strengh. Props to you for actually showing what it means to start from Nothing and setting realistic expectations.

I've made some insane progress myself. Just for info, I was already pretty capable before even doing real calisthenics ( could do 30 push ups in a row, and around 5 pull ups ). A month prior, I decided that I wanted to start calisthenics for real, but didn't know where to start. I decided to master something that I've always admired : One handed push ups. I cannot tell you how goddamn hard these push ups are at first. I could very barely do one single handed push up, while omega cheating with my legs spread. I started by doing negatives ( just doing the down motion of the one handed push up slowly and just going back in position with my two hands.) In about 2 weeks, I noticed that I was able to do 1-3 good one handed push ups ( legs slightly spread.) I realized that strenght training is fairly fast when you can't do a movement at all. I did these every day except the weekends for rest. Fast forward 1 month, I can do 10 one handed push ups each side (legs not spread) Im actually at the point where I can do Inclined one handed push ups, which is fucking insane to me. I never would've thought that in a single month I could get so strong. I'm now aiming at doing muscle ups and the human flag. I'm tempted to record my progress and show my way of doing things. Calisthenics isnt really hard, it just takes alot of dedication! You can do it! (I'm 18 years old, for the record.)

I started from 4 pull ups only max and 4 reps on bars , and one mo i did only uper body with dumbells 14kg and other ex on the flor for back Next 1 mo i did bars+ pull ups + other stuff and after a get 3 pullups with 30kg and 6 reps +30kg on bars for 1 mo. And i know if i started first with this it will be the first 1 mo the same.. but its bad to do max, need to do 3 type of training light/medium/hard.

I started last year although I need to increase my reps but I can do push ups now. I'm even doing them with my feet on a step and my hands on the floor. It used to be the other way around. I'm 57 and I've still got a long way to go and a lot to achieve but I'm getting better and stronger. Still working on other moves like dips and pull ups. This is a great video on realistic one year progress.

Upper day will consist mostly of : push up x3, dip x3, pull up x3 weighted row x2 bicep curl x2, side lateral x2 rear delt x2 abs x3. I don't care at all about any of the calisthenics skills, so i stick only to the basics.

Been doing calisthenics 6 days a week for 2 years and i got none of these skills, but when i started i could do 0 pushups and 0 pullups. took me 3 months to get to 1 rep of pullups, now working on chest to bar pullups but so far not even close, but i'm also 36 years old 🤣my goal is straddle planche before i turn 40.
Max rep pullups 13-14, pushups i don't know, wall assisted handstand pushups 10. still just working on my foundation, skill training will probably begin in 1-2 years.

yo your 0 is already so impressive, altho I have been sick for 5 years unable to leave the bed most of the day. I can't do a single pushup or pullup now. L sit is impossible can't even lift my legs. tuck planche likewise. could only hang for about 5 seconds on a bar. it's about 25 seconds now and can do 5/6 normal pushups now so slowly progressing but it's hard to stay motivated. I feel so weak to who I was before.
Before I got sick I did 50 pushup 100 situps and 5 soccor laps before practice. it's hard to look back and see what I've lost. trying not to look back too far and see the progress day to day but it's still hard.
great to see the progress you've made, motivates me to keep going, I'll get there at some point.

Truly inspirational man, great work I'm proud of your perseverance.
Currently looking to start doing myself, I have a calisthenics park near me but they could have done a better job designing it but they do have pull up, monkey, and dip bars that are fairly well laid out with a few other things.
I'm trying to decide on starter movements and stretches to do that will advance me. Was thinking of body weight rows on the monkey bars doing both neutral, pro&supinated grips using the ladder on the end and various bands for progression.
Other than that there's a playground right up there hill where I think they have swings where I could both ab and inverted L plank roll outs. Kinda like using an ab wheel or furniture sliders for thrusts.
