This shot definetly requires a good feeling for speed control. You also don't need to get it as deep into the pocket as I did. A tiny bit will have the same effect. Just have a look here: bit.ly/2WALbrs
From all pool channels I know. You're my favorite! Always nice & clear. I learn a lot from you. Thanx for this one too, gonna practice it tommorow 😁🙏❤.
What a coincidence! I saw the preview set up for this shot in yesterday's video and I went to my table to try to see what I could come up with, and I came up with the EXACT same safety play! Great minds think alike! I recommend using a very short bridge so you won't accidentally hit too hard and rebound off the point and give your opponent the free win.
I've been watching a lot of different pool tutorial channels and, while they're all very good, I definitely enjoy yours the most. I'm particularly liking your "24 shots" series.
Yeah, I dont get that. Just gotta be that perctg of impatient trolling tweenies looking for "flashbang anime now!" having this show up on yt recommends.
Great series, I actually got to use the cueball bouncing out of the side pocket and cutting the 2ball down to the corner in a game, people were amazed that I didn't scratch, thanks again and keep up the great work
Awesome content as always. Please do a video om cte system. I hope your video provide a clear view and explaination on how to use cte system. Danke schoon from indonesia.
Some thoughts: Good shot to practice a bit, just to work on the soft ‘touch’ stroke needed to execute it - if we try this shot and can’t come close to making it work, our Godzilla stroke probably the cause. Sharivari parked the cue ball with a very deep hook behind the corner but can also corner hook without going so deep toward the pocket drop. This shot requires controlling 10 inch cue ball travel, and about 1” movement after contact, with a very easy line on the target - pretty small numbers but need touch. Also this is an Offense vs. Defense choice - if you can park the cue ball for this lock down safe, when your villain thinks he’s got the game locked up -> will you put him on tilt? That may be worth the risk!🤪
The pocket hook would definitely require bravery ... and a little insanity! I like the VB score flipper, noticed that around shot 9 but didn't realize you were tracking the shot #. Nice André. Since my table is about 1 year old and I'm not even at the amateur stage ... no jump shots for me!!
Lol! I don't think I am brave enough to play this safety shot in a match situation. But I will practice it. Thanks man. Have always been following your videos here from Nigeria and my game has greatly improved. I own a commercial pool table and will be glad if I get a set of balls from you boss!
As the person hooked I would bank into the top rail and try to make the 9/10 combo, the hook to going into the top rail back down at the 9 sould be able to be compensated for with 1 tip of inside english for each diamond I am forced to aim outside,. I believe I could at least consistently hit the 9 that way and not give up ball in hand.
You have more control with the safety shot. That's why he said it's less risky than the kick. It's nothing but a very simple touch shot. Ignore the pocket and play the position. With the kick if you don't cheat far enough you'll scratch right behind it.
I have been watching your videos Awesome content and great effort ! However, I prefer traditional striped balls with white instead of black. In this video at first I was confused why you want to hit the 2-ball after 9-ball lol
Wouldn't an option to get out of that safety be to play the combo with a 2-rail kick? After seeing some of your bonus shots that seems like a shot you're capable of.
Hi. I watch your videos and its awesome what i learn actually from your videos. But i must ask you something. Where can I get this markers on the rail? It goes around your complete table... its so cool and i think it would halp me a lot.
thats a great shot., but its hard to be brave if you dont have a skill to do that hahaha., but im gonna try to practice it to get some courage hehe.thanks
I don't like this shot. The main goal in every shot should be to avoid scratching. If you give opponent ball in hand he will end this rack. And even if you have the best touch eventually you will scratch. Kick shot is much better option here.
It comes up, but it's rare because there are usually better options. Only once in a blue moon will it be THE shot, but it's good to know for when it does come up.
In this scenario - I think it is too, even if you've practiced "pocket hook" before. Not that hard two rail escape with possibility to pocket 9-10 combo.
Those are high quality Duramith balls, but are bit trendy for my taste. However, they don't bother me too much for these instructional videos. You can read about them here: www.aramith.com/regular-range-pool
Why do most American pool players use a glove? I cant understand this at all. I play snooker and the odd game of UK pool. But not 1ns has anyone ever had a glove. I think ppl would laugh at them if they did here.
@@ScottishThings I would prefer to play snooker but there are no snooker tables anywhere near me. I agree that snooker tables are more difficult. Another reason I wear a glove at times is because during an intense match, my hands might get a little clammy/sweaty, and the glove helps. Since snooker cues are made from ash wood, and pool cues typically from maple wood, I wonder if that is a factor in the way they feel.

Thanks for the video. I don't think I wouldn't have thought of creating a safety that way. Nicely done.
Awesome video, I would never have thought to corner hook my opponent there, but I am definitely going to try it next time I am in this situation!🔥
Can't stop watching your videos man good stuff

Good! ... you are a ROLE MODEL doing well and NO ego... nice 👍🇳🇿

A jump bank, then a kick combo bank to win? Ok guy! That's some mighty fancy shooting there partner.
Haha thanks!
Can't believe there are dislikes of this video. I've actually used this shot once and it worked great. Thanks for showing it.
Yeah, I dont get that. Just gotta be that perctg of impatient trolling tweenies looking for "flashbang anime now!" having this show up on yt recommends.
We love you Sharivari Tnx
Love you two

Great stuff as always 👍👍👍
Indiana US here. Appreciate ya

Nice bonus shot as always love it
I guess it all comes down to what you're more comfortable doing and the table you're playing on.

Enjoyed it, thank you.
Great work with series Sharivari, almost there!

You've nailed the principle behind taking this shot versus the kick perfectly!! Well said!!

Immer wieder schön anzusehen. Macht weiter so, Respekt!

Good stuff
Surely scratching on the corner hook is more likely than scratching on the kick shot
Great content as always. thank you!
Clean always clean!!!
its an interesting shot but I gotta say percentages favour the kick shot all day

Could you also kick off the near rail just in front of the side pocket to make the combination?
Chick played, Mr. Schickling😉
Looked really scary, but not bad after all. Requires good speed control though. Thanks.
INDONESIA WATCHING
Philippines here
Cool
Wouldn't an option to get out of that safety be to play the combo with a 2-rail kick? After seeing some of your bonus shots that seems like a shot you're capable of.
Yes, but I would go for a soft one rail kick in a match. Higher percentages to hit it and to leave it safe.
Hi. I watch your videos and its awesome what i learn actually from your videos. But i must ask you something. Where can I get this markers on the rail? It goes around your complete table... its so cool and i think it would halp me a lot.
They are called "Diamond Slicer" by KAMUI.
Just recently saw Ronnie O'Sullivan play that same safe shot in a snooker match. Is that where you got the inspiration for this video?
Didn't saw it recently. But I think the first time I saw this shot was in Snooker.
Brave is an understatement.lol
thats a great shot., but its hard to be brave if you dont have a skill to do that hahaha., but im gonna try to practice it to get some courage hehe.thanks
And that's supposed to be *less* risky than the kick shot?
How likely would it be and how much time might we end up like that.... Good knowledge but shari I am not gonna try bro too risky
Do you play in any tournaments ?
Ohh i see, someone is following snooker here, this is nothing but a legendary blue by Ronnie o Sullivan. Easy adaptation by the way.
👍
What's up coach
Couldn’t try that on these bar tables I shoot on, that would drop right in the pocket 🤣
Until you want it to go in the pocket then it hangs on you.
I don't like this shot. The main goal in every shot should be to avoid scratching. If you give opponent ball in hand he will end this rack. And even if you have the best touch eventually you will scratch. Kick shot is much better option here.

Isn't this safety more risky than the kickshot?
In this scenario - I think it is too, even if you've practiced "pocket hook" before. Not that hard two rail escape with possibility to pocket 9-10 combo.
You usually only play it when the kick isn't available. If the kick (to pocket) is available within reason, you should 100% kick.
That shot is at least as risky as the kick
Horrible shot choice. Not everyone is Alex Higgins.
What are those "inverted" balls?
its aramith black -set
A mistake

For me, I really like the increased slickness of the stroke. I can play either way, but I also like that the glove keeps my hand cleaner.
