Coming home every single day in the afternoon from a ride and then taking all that bike gear off plus parking it and putting it on the charger is already stuff to do when I want to just rest and chill. Going to find the case and then put it on is just painful. Would rather just use some other tripod that has magsafe instead.

The A17 Pro chip is not a new feature, only an improvement over the A16 Bionic.
One of the most interesting features to my opinion is the ability to use tethered shooting while taking photo's with iPhone 15 Pro. For us photographers this is a huge deal. It will allow us to see our pictures directly on the big screen using Lightroom Classic. I'm just hyped about it and can't wait to use it in a photo studio! 😱🤩

@@TastyFarts5 by plugging in a usb-c cable from your iPhone to your Mac. It will probably work the same way as using a camera with tethered shooting. Trough the build in feature in Lightroom classic or other Photo applications like Capture One Pro
Are you using your iPhone on paid photo shoots? I wouldn't take an iPhone over a pro camera that is tethered for a shoot personally... Neat feature though.
I usually never buy into ads in videos but this is the first time I’ve been heavily into a useful product for my daily life lol looks like a genius, durable, and useful idea like shown in the video. I hope it’s worth it for the price…
The new iPhone‘s changes including USB-C, 3nm A17 Pro chip with incredible gpu performance, new telephoto lens on the Pro Max and focal lengths, action button and Titanium frame are actually great upgrades. People are hating no matter what.
All these things you mentioned are hardware changes/upgrades... Not really features....features would be what these hardware changes offer.... Which when you check, isn't anything to shout about... Their usb type c/transfer speeds have now caught up with the rest of the world, they offering ray tracing... Is them being now caught up with their rivals.... 48mp camera is still way being the rest of the world.... 5x optical lens is way behind the rest of the world..... 256gb base storage is basically the standard on most of their competitors.... I don't see how this phone has offered anything ground breaking besides their usually cpu gains...
I do wish Apple would;d have at least caught up today with Samsung's zoom capability from years ago but that's Apple. I'm sure they have the technology but deliberately hold it back so they can say they have improvements each year.
That tripod/stand you showed actually seems an excellent budget option for anyone that wants to take macro shots of items for review.

iPhone 15 Pro has the same telephoto sensor as the iPhone 12 Pro. That seems insane in a "Pro" model. They changed the focal length and aperture on the 13 Pro forward but the sensor has remained unchanged for 4 years!

its not really a big deal. nowadays in phones photography is alot more important the post processing than the sensor. google didnt changed the pixel sensor until 2021. they were using the same Sony sensor from the pixel 2!. but the post processing of the pixel is so good that pixel cameras are arguibly some of the best phone cameras in the world

@@ssaini5028 one of the easiest ways to improve image quality, especially with smartphones is to increase the sensor size. It's what Apple does it with the main sensor almost every single year. This is only more important with telephoto lenses that reduce the amount of incoming light due to the longer focal length.
but also to say sensor tech hasn't changed is simply burying your head in the sand. Sony's new stacked sensor tech is awesome. Pixel binning has finally made its way to smartphone sensors in the last few years and plenty more.
Have just finished a hands on with the pro max titanium finish . The feel in hand not as nice as stainless steel , in fact feels similar to plastic. Also the discoloring around the buttons very pronounced. That being said, apart from the physical feel the screen , the camera and software features great.

I find it funny that almost no tech reviewer talk about the new Spatial Video recording. it was a feature that only was rumoured for next year ;)
Being that you will need Vision Pro to watch it. You won’t be able to see them quite some time after the phone launches, and most people will never find it useful because they won’t purchase a vision pro. It’s like recording in cinematic mode; hardly anybody does it, but for the few who do, it’s great.
Regardless of price you are most likely underestimating how many people will buy vision pro.
Upgraded to natural titanium 15 pro from iPhone XS. It was just time to do it.
I did the same except I got the pro in black but I was using the xs and it was starting to stutter and lag pretty hard when doing multitasking like maps being open and scrolling through music etc.

Although is not a great upgrade, I have to buy it, because nowadays I shoot all my shorts and tiktoks from the iphone so the better camera in low light and better zoom will help, and edit from there a lot too, so the ram and performance will save me time, and the screen supposedly has less dimming screen and better thermals too, and of course the action button and hopefully better battery. Best
OK the product from the ad but for an iPad mini six (or upcoming seven) would be absolutely perfect
for me i have the iphone 12 pro max pacific blue color. or i can wait for the iphone 16 pro max or the iphone 17 pro series. coming in 1 to 3 years and maybe a full screen/ display. and also thin bezels for the iphone series is it worth it to upgrade to the iphone 15 series with usb-c port. or i can get a gaming phone for a good price.

I purchased the 15 Pro Max nat ti. I’m not totally sold on USBC. I have literally never connected my phone to transfer data. I would prefer to see better Wi-Fi modems. My top 3 are 24mp photos (48 in heif), mechanical ray tracing (I think this is going to be huge for Apple devices in the future), and the new 5x tetra-prism lens. Love your vids.

wireless charging doesn't allow for data transfer, it's far more inefficient, and it's slower. USB c is a universal cable that you can use for almost every device. it's objectively the best there's zero argument
@@Arjun---- for MagSafe the wire doesn’t go through bottom so it’s much easier to use the phone while charging and I have MagSafe charger which also has stand so it can be used as standby clock at night while charging. USB c provides same charging speed as lightning as of now and trasfer speed doesn’t really matter to me 90% of the population. I mostly airdrop to my MacBook which is done in seconds for my use case. So, MagSafe is still superior and new tech. Charging speeds will be increased for sure in future iphones

Based on the detention of the camera module section and the thickness of both Pro & Pro Max, the new 5X lens design should fit into the Pro model perfectly; however, the 3X telephoto will only have old iPhone 14 Pro 6% Focus Pixel while the 5X telephoto will have 100% Focus Pixel. iPhone 15 Pro is 90% cost of iPhone 15 Pro Max but only comes with 94% less Focus Pixel and 2X less zoom for those who are not interested in the Pro Max size. May be that would be the BIGEST UPGRADE FEATURE of iPhone 16 Pro to have the 5X zoom & 100% Focus Pixel. Same trick they pulled before until iPhone 12 Pro & Pro Max that came with same cameras. Cheap shot Apple!
"should fit" You need to actually provide the build specifications of both models before we can conclude whether or not the 5X can fit in the Pro model.

@@MaxMustermann-vy7ur The chassis overall the Pro Max is a bigger phone. The 5X is using a tetra prism design. Its does require a little more room than the 3X. When you add sensor shift stabilisation on top there are space contraints

Yeah but only if the photo was taken specifically in portrait mode. He was saying that all photos, even non portrait mode photos, will save focal data so you can add or edit it later.

Totally agree. They also added a new coating around the camera lenses to help reduce lense flares, this is nice if it works well. So it's all the small improvements that makes it worth it.

Good video but one correction - the thermal conductivity of titanium and stainless steel are the same, so heat dissipation not better.
Actually 304L Stainless has a 16.2 W/m.K thermal conductivity while Grade 5 Titanium is 6.7. This means way less thermal transfer on the Titanium which is why Apple most likely chose to make the inner frame our of aluminium which is at 200 W/m.K to help transfer heat away from the chip to the glass. This also means that the Titanium sides should stay much cooler to the touch under heavy loads making it more comfortable to hold.

Should I upgrade from the 14 Pro to the 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max? Currently, I have the iPhone 14 Pro Space Black 256GB which has scrolling stuttering, battery life is bad, it has lags in the Camera app and some games and overheating issues. Battery and Camera are the most important things for me and I used a 12PM before which was too big and heavy to use, but now there is the lighter Titanium material and the curved edges make it feel more comfortable to use. So therefore, should I still chose the 15 Pro Max over the 15 Pro this year? Also, is 256Gb enough? And, which color would you choose?

Apparently they’re finally adding 48Mpix HEIF, so you don’t have to shoot raw to get 48Mpix resolution. This presumably also applies to iPhone 14 Pro/Max, but I’m upgrading from a 12 Pro Max, so this makes that upgrade more enticing!

It is still a camera phone. If you normalize the lens aperture to a full frame equivalent for the 5x lens, you are now over f20 equivalent. Did you ever wonder why a lens for an actual full-frame camera at the 120 mm focal length (4.7 inches) at 2.8 aperture takes large filters? For example, the Canon RF 135 mm 1.8 prime lens takes an 82 mm filter or 3.2 inches. Simply multiply the f-stop that Apple is quoting by crop factor which may be on the order of eight to get the full-frame equivalent. I have a Nikon cropped sensor camera with a crop factor of 1.5. I have a lens that is designed for the cropped sensor camera with stated focal length and f-stop of 35 mm / f1.8. The full frame equivalent is 52.5 mm / f2.7. Apple's f-stop numbers are misleading as is the case with other manufactures and therefore they mislead many who are not familiar with the basics. Apple's marketing material which shows a full-frame lens schematic next to the iPhone 14 Pro is incredibly misleading and really shameful! What is discussed above contradicts what is stated in this video in regard to the actual light gathering capability of the 5x lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max in relation to a full-frame camera. You cannot simply look at the quoted f-stop and call it a day! Specifications of non full-frame camera systems should always be normalized to the full-frame equivalent in order to allow for comparison of these systems. Camera phones rely on effectively longer exposures (likely multiple exposures) to make up for the loss of f-stops and computational photography to provide bokeh as something like an f20 aperture offers no bokeh.

I feel like I am the only person who doesn't really care about the camera quality that much. I never take selfies, maybe FaceTime here & there. I have been happy with the iPhone camera quality since the iPhone 4. For me all about the performance, and not in terms of gaming or demanding applications, but rather the OS & CPU working together to provide quick & snappy performance for years down the line, since I usually keep iPhone's at least 6 years into their lifespans.

I have a 13 mini and love the size. I would like to upgrade, but I think the 15 pro max is too big and heavy. The size and weight of the normal 15pro is just about acceptable thanks to the use of titanium. I ask whether the better 5x zoom justifies the more uncomfortable handling. whether you really use the 5x magnification that often. For portraits, 3 times is perfect.
I would like to see 16 mini pro ultra whatever they would call it…. Unfortunately this will never happen 😢

His argument is the 5x lens is a marketing gimmick. 120mm equivalent to FF but F2.8 isn't FF equivalent. It is F21 for FF equivalent.
And you will lose the zoom range between the standard wide and the tele. Apple will just crop digitally.
Not sure about the heat benefits of titanium, it gets hotter than aluminium when used in flash lights

I think iPhone 15 Pro records ProRes 4K 60fps 422 10-bit will be 200 MB/s and iPhone 15 Pro Max records ProRes 4K 60fps 422 12-bit will be 300 - 400 MB/s. I have iPhone 13 Pro Max records ProRes 4K 30fps 422 12-bit is 100 MB/s. Phone 15 Pro and Pro Max are the game changer for many low budget filmmakers.

Glad I skipped the iPhone 14. This was a huge upgrade from the iPhone 13. I'll do 2 year upgrade cycles from this point on. Heck, maybe 5 year updates since this has USB-C which was a long standing holdout of modern technology.

It might titanium is a softer metal compared to stainless steel but the use a alloy so it can enhance the hardness.
I think the 8gb of ram is just the minimum required to keep it running “good”. For it to run “excellent” they should have gone with 10gb of ram. Especially since they give 5 years of iOS updates to their devices.
Still on iPhone 13 Pro and not seen a good enough reason to upgrade. Nothing exciting here with the new model.
