@@sayten5512 Trust me.... The government is already waaaaaayyy ahead of the curve, they are most likely planning on a special license to operate & I can say that wit almost absolute certainty. Honestly, the fact of the matter is within I say at least 15 years time, the world will be nothing but EV's. You can MAYBE find a handful of gasoline powered engines, but those will be worth quadruple the amount by that time, which honestly doesn't make sense, given the fact that they will be obsolete & inferior. But that's most likely what our future will look like in a decade & a half or so.

I did a "roll" race against a red one and it was absolutely gorgeous!
Went neck and neck, then when I exited we both gave thumbs it, was pretty cool.
I'd say a 5oh 10 speed pp1 car against a Skatty is pretty much a drivers race.

@@19coyote5oh9 I have a 2021 in frostbyte blue. Has all the bells and whistles. No one really wants to race me though. When I had my 2018 people would try to take me on all the time. I think the difference is my red 2018 had the R/T and 392 badging and my 2021 is all bumblebees on the truck and front bumper. I love it though! First up is new tires and when my warranty expires it will be a mid muffler delete and some other small adjustments.
I was just in Michigan this past weekend and I saw one for the second time during one of my trips there. This thing has some real road presence. It definitely sticks out. It’s pretty badass.

GM’s torque number is misleading, because they are stating hp at the motor and torque after the first gear and final drive ratios. This is not how torque is usually advertised by various manufacturers. If measured at the motor or motors, which is more traditional, the torque is closer to 800 lb-ft.
I hope this does not become the standard, because the exaggerated torque measurement looks and sounds ridiculous and eventually become meaningless.
Misleading? I bet when you put your right foot down in a Hummer EV the torque numbers certainly don’t _feel_ misleading. Misleading on paper? Well GM wouldn’t be the only ones guilty there!

Just fyi that's wheel torque, if using normal measurements it's about 1200 foot pounds.

11,500 torque is not an apples to apples number. It’s a marketing gimmick. It’s wheel torque after the gear reduction. It’s actually about the same as an f-150s numbers. And a ram 2500 diesel puts out 20,000 foot pounds. Don’t believe everything you hear.
@@maxhammontree3169 Lol. Are you ok? I think you’re trying too hard to put Ford and RAM on the same playing field as GM. Neither has an answer for this machine, and they have been left in the dust in regards to actual product development. You can call it a “marketing gimmick” all you want but it is all in fun, and at the end of the day basic math will get you 11,500 but that isn’t the point. They didn’t need to list the 11,500 as the torque number because at 1,200 ft lbs of torque the number is _still_ greater than the electric super trucks, or lack thereof from Ford, Tesla, and RAM.
But I think Ford’s claims of a full electric F-150 capable of 300 miles for $40k is the *real* marketing gimmick.
just looked up the replacement battery cost of the HUMMER EV and it is 20K to 30K "depending on technology" (whatever that means) plus labor cost might just total the thing for the cost of that service. 100k sticker price and we all know sticker price is sucker price.

That is just an epic monster of a truck. I never really liked the h-series trucks from gm, but that one. That one is actually impressive and not bad looking at all. I kinda want one now. Thank you X for showing this one to us!
This is just the first edition. As like every vehicle they always make it better and faster as the next years come out to out perform the previous years model. This Hummer is a beast.

This might come as a shock to you fellas, but the electric motor vehicle came before the combustion engine vehicle. The only reason why it took a hundred and something years to get to this point is because the oil companies had a stranglehold on the industry.

Repair bill? That's what the manufacturer warranty is for. Plus EVs don't have the same repair history of an ICE vehicle.

You're not even considering the quality of the product, there fact they are systematically destroying the aftermarket, and that since evs are new, they are going to be outrageously over priced. Plus where the hell you supposed to charge it it's not like there's a charging station at every street corner.... For that very reason alone it should be less priced and not trying to price it on the market of Tesla.
I'm really not much EV enthusiast, but this hummer got my attention.
I'm pretty decided to go for it when my current leasing ends in 3 years. And probably at that point, the EV production will be way more reliable, without all the waiting lists and etc.
I would like to have one,have a H3 for 12 years now,but that price is insanity.

Gotta say that I enjoyed watching you present this. The excitement in your face was the cherry on top and made the video enjoyable to watch and really get into the hype of what is HUMMER. Up until this very review I've been hating hating hating EVs with a passion...GM I think hit a HOME RUN!
BTW I notice a lot of similar with the infotainment and drive modes etc since I currently have a 22 GMC YUKON XL AT4. I am not a brand snob, gotta go with what works at that the time for you. Even with toys lol

Tell me you don’t actually believe it has 11,500 ft lb of torque relative to gasoline vehicle.
They do somthing funky with measuring hp and tq when it comes to EVs at the wheels its much less but still that thing is quick
It actually equals roughly to about 1200 lb foot of torque.
It takes 140 (6 days) hours to fully charge! 1 nights charge gets you 14 miles. Not to mention it has load capacity and towing capacity of a mid sized truck. No thanks. I wouldn't pay $40k for it.

You didn't mention the price or the range it has. Good review though. The only thing bad about the EVs is they're ridiculously expensive, the really cool anyway. This is definitely a really cool one.

Did you notice any noise coming from the removable roof panels while driving? Ive heard people complain that they vibrate quite a bit while driving over bumps.

Our 2020 bolt is half this drivetrain and is also quicker than all 3 of those cars. Tesla has a 100 motor and we have a 154 motor and are over 800 pounds light than a Tesla too !!!!!

And there are not practical in my opinion. This hummer give you around 329 miles in one charge, and take 55h at 110V, 10h at 220V, 1h at 440V to charge. This crap will not get me even across a state in one day
@ So more power, more mpgs compared to ANYTHING this size, and an hour to fully charge it at quarter the price of gas.

40 mpge, kinda bad. 1.7 miles per KwH, my Chevy Bolt EV gets over 4 miles per KWH , but I still put my $100 down to reserve one of the Hummer EV 3x’s … might have to wait a year to get mine though…..demand is so high
