Congrats to Hera and this is a interesting country and also about this song is a catchy party disco hit for disco parties and it’s a banger and it’s a booper and this is a intresting song and artist and this is the best one for a club anthem party song and Hera is my girl that won the national final performance and it’s a beach summer party and the Icelandic dance vibes from Geoff
Oldie but goldie in terms of dance pop, in my opinion. And the energy Hera is bringing is just infectious with good spirit. She will be great in the ESC, regardless of the point score. Anyway, since everybody seems to be too busy dancing to 'Scared of Heights' to write a comment here, let me add a few words about the young ladies of ESC Norway. For some reason, Maria reminds me of the young Frida from ABBA (yeah, I'm ancient 🙃) while Hanna makes me want to go to Moyka's concert... go figure 😎 In any case, I think you two are doing great job both on camera and moderating the comment section. Hello ladies from Australia. Love your work. Just need to mention that Scared of Heights has yet to be submitted as Icelands entry for Eurovision as of the 06/03/2024, inspite of Hera's win. Hopefully this will change in the next few days.
Thank you girls, this gives some old Eurovision vibes. I couldn't agree more with you. In my head, this is the personification of Scandinavian pop and i lovee general feel-goodness of this song. Also, I'd generally support older and experienced artists because they seem to be a minority nowadays. What the world needs now is this kind of positivity. 100% with you on this one.

I am politically supporting the Palestinian cause and wanted Bashar to go. That song was something different and in itself non-political. Hera Björk is a good performer and a good singer but Into the atmosphere was a much better girl bop. This is so old-fashioned!
I agree with you on that. Bashar would have had a much better shot, but I also respect Iceland for not voting politically (if that was a pressure that maybe went in Bashar's disfavour? I don't know, but I think Bashar was more original, so I get you.
Sorry what is the assumption that this isn't qualifying. It is literally one of only 2 songs this year up to now that has engaged me. A proper melody, great hook and chorus. She is my top 2 this year. The snobbery around being current and young with music really pisses me off. Music doesn't have a date expiry so what this 'dated' thing is supposed to mean I dont know. You dont stop listening to and enjoying music and especially the Eurovision Song Contest when you hit 35 you know. All these experimental, ridiculous, OTT, sombre, absurdist acts that are being sent repeatedly really stop engagement with this contest if im honest. As does the weird song structures, the builds that drop into nothing, the lack of a proper chorus.
Finally a song is released that is a good solid pop track that builds and because a subset of the fandom has turned this contest into a political rally they would rather choose a mediocre song/performance with a story than celebrate actual proper music. And as is the usual with this subset of people, if something doesn't go their way they would rather burn everything down around them than submit that they're opinion/taste isn't divine.

Love it! I agree with you on all counts subjectively, of there is talk about others having a better shot or that it's too out dated, it's more based on track record than enything else. But as was pointed out in the video, this might have an advantage being more solig and yes, "old fashioned" as it stands out from the buzzy "modern" crowd this year.
