He is absolutely right. When i tried the 4 day bloods and guts protocol, i was totally exhausted after one month. Its cruel. Now i train 2 times per week , much better. I follow mikes training protocol. Some day i will switch to 3 days dy protocol
@andreleitedasilva8708 i currently follow mike mentzer 4 day split. Chest-back, legs, arms-delts, legs. Yes 1 working set till failure and beyond when its feasable.
If you train on day 1 and after you take 2 days rest in 4 weeks (month) mini cycle you will get 10 training days. First week 3 days, second week 2 days, third week 3 days, fourth week two days. I think that's the optimal for HIT.
All this is hard for me to accept because i love the gym and i love to train 2 hours and i feel empty on days off. Plus i am not able to be more intense. Always do as hard as i can.
@pmuttenthaler he isn't you so I can guarantee that despite his years of bodybuilding and roid use there's nothing he could give you..he's not special..he's just a person.
@@trinihammerMentzer said once every four days. Only way to know for sure is to start small and increase. Train every other day. After a period of time, train every third day. Then every fourth,,and so on. Keep meticulous records. When you stop processing, go back to where you were progressing. This is what both Dorian and Mentzer did to figure out what worked best. Everyone's recovery time will be individual. You need to key in on your particular recovery period.
Your diet has to be on point to grow. I use HIT and have been getting great results. I'm getting more lean but gaining weight at the same time. The extra weight is from muscle growth. You have to rest a minimum of 4 days between hitting that muscle group again. That is when you grow.
@@mikearonson1071 I'd been doing a 2-day split routine training every other day and hitting each muscle every 4th day. M-W-F-Su-T-Th-Sa for example. Any more than 4 days and I feel and see myself shrinking. My diet has been very solid. Do you think I need to take more days off?
@@bradfordmcdermott2063 True. That is what he said. But, I train all upper body in one session. Next day I do legs, abs, cardio. Then I wait 4-5 days, then repeat. Mentzer's routine was to do chest and back, wait 4 days, then do arms, wait another 4 and do legs. By the time you get back to chest and back, it's been 2 entire weeks. That is one aspect of his plan most don't agree with. That is too long between workouts. I have had workouts where my side delts were sore for 6 days, so I had to prolong the time off. Rule of thumb is, once the soreness has gone away, wait one more day, then train again. You'll grow.
Milos Sarcev's intensity is much higher than Yates and other bodybuilders. His intensity was overrated due to the fact he was very successful, and then the sheep jumped on the bandwagon, attributing his success to his so-called training intensity.
@healthyorganics9778 You make out that 315 is a light weight, and yes, I can without drugs. Thanks for asking. I am from the UK, so I think that's about 140kg, isn't it.
Yates as a trainer = Taking his pupil to a DARK DARK place.
Truly a pupil of Mentzer. Even uses the same sun exposure analogy. Both are fuckin legends 💪🏻
Yep it goes Arthur Jones > Mike Mentzer > Dorian. Wonder who's next?

Would love to see Yates vs Charles glass train a newbie and compare the results

I wish I could afford to have Dorian as a trainer..
It's a waste of money ,you don't need him as a trainer. .there's nothing he can give you that you don't already have

train once every 6 days. train to failure with no more than three weight training exercises per week.

English. From Birmingham.
Intensity can be dangerous. Yates himself has torn biceps and couple of other injuries. He was unable to go on like that.
Whilst dieting extremely… not injured in the off-season…
Everytime I try HIT I quickly get stronger and quickly get smaller.
