Pokemon Colosseum is my favorite Pokemon game and has been since I first played it back when it first came out and I've probably played it over a dozen times since. :) I just love how it breaks from the norm and I dislike how people say XD is better because everything Colosseum got right, XD got wrong. I don't like that in XD, you are a good little kid out to save your lab instead of older and having a mysterious background, that there are random encounters (so some battles were single battles), that there is a purification machine (I like that I had to work for the purifications, sometimes obsolete is better), that you were alone for most of the adventure (though I found my younger sister rather annoying at times, I missed her when she wasn't following me around), and that's all I got for now, but I'm sure I can come up with more. XD was a bit of a let down to me. I liked it, but Colosseum was like taking a big step out of the norm and XD was like taking a step back into it.
My stance on the whole XD vs. Colosseum is pretty much the same a chuggaa's where on a stance of mechanics I prefer XD as I didn't like a lot of mechanics in Colosseum like how it pretty much forces you to keep switching your shadow pokemon if you wanted to purify them all without grinding (I don't like doing this as it makes the pokemon feel disposable and I really don't want to do that and how if you missed shadow pokemon in Colosseum you pretty much had to wait until the after game to get another chance with exceptions. On the other hand while XD pretty much fixed those odd design choices it ignored everything Colosseum did right and that's in the atmosphere and character department as Colosseum had amazing atmosphere of a region that has been over taken by crime and chaos that just simply isn't there in XD (with exceptions like the abandoned ship and Citadark Isle but Colosseum still defiantly had the better atmosphere) When it comes to characters I honestly prefer the admins in Colosseum as Ein is just a plain badass, Dakim seems like a guy that he would try and do everything himself and Venus seems quite manipulative. In XD The only admin the feel got the same vibe as these was Eldos and I thought he was quite and interesting character. So overall I can't say what I prefer as I like them both for completely different reason....kinda like my stance in brawl vs melee.
benderfan111 I actually liked that you only got one chance to catch a Shadow Pokemon until the after game. It made things seem more intense. The notifications for being able to catch a Shadow Pokemon again in XD were so annoying. After awhile, it seemed like spam. There is only really one update I liked from the XD version that I would have wanted to add to Colosseum if I could and that's the ability to save anywhere. Saving only at PCs is such a pain. Again, I do like XD, but when compared to Colosseum, it's just no contest. Though XD is the sequel, they are two completely different games.

Dragon Claw was special here so Reflect didn't lower its damage. I heard a lot about the infamous Evice X Attack incident, and watching this, I think it MAY have been possible for you to win had he not done that. If you had healed Marshal, you probably would have survived long enough for Machamp to faint from Sandstorm damage. (That'd be two turns) Barring any critical hits. If only Quagsire could have Unaware in this generation, as that'd make Evice's X Attack COMPLETLEY POINYLESS. It kind of made me feel bad thinking you only won this battle due to luck. Watching it, that definately wasn't the case, there was still a lot of skill here and you made the best choices each turn for the most part. This was still a very good battle.

the one thing that will always bother me about this playthrough (i know i'm 10 years late, it's fine), is, if he was going to use the master ball on Tyrannitar anyway, why didn't he use it the moment Tyrannitar was in the field? rather than giving him a chance to attack?
4:27 Fun fact: Dragon Claw, as well as all Dragon-Type attacks, is Special in Gen 3, so Reflect didn't do sh*t. P.s.: It's easy to remember which types are physical and which are special. All Eeveelution-Types: Water, Fire, Electric, Psychic, Dark, Grass and Ice. + Dragon = Special. The rest is Physical.
the master ball should've been used the moment Tyranitar was brought into the fight. would've saved some of the trouble Emile went through and he wouldn't have had to settle for a pyrrhic victory.
I think it is because he wasn't expecting that the team would be so dented at the start of the game. He probably used it as the last resort in this "do or die" situations.
Nope, its a lame Shamy twist. Also anyone that says its not a main game, is wrong. As it is listed at such in every official place that means something,
I think that Es Cade, the Mayor an irrelevant character turning out to be the ultimate evil or Cipher has been the best plot twist in Pokemon. It was very surprising to me!
That would definitely make sense to me. When I first played Pokemon Emerald, I never understood why Slaking had that God awful ability. Now that I know that Slaking is stronger than most a lot of Legendary Pokemon, I definitely saw why it needed that hindrance.
Well, I will tell you that in my playthrough of Pokémon Colosseum, I always had Espeon and Umbreon to train, and they were my main two Pokémon. And... in all honesty, I ended up having a crap ton of trouble here at the end with them.
There are a few reasons for that. It can't really do a whole lot other than Bite and toxic if you taught it to him, if you do use it both it and Espeon will be weak to bug, making that Scizor absolutely brutal, there are other options for Walls in Colosseum like Mantine for Special and Skarmory or Forretress for physical walls, and lastly it doesn't learn a dark type move stronger than 60 power. I'm just informing you.
Now, let us pray for those poor souls that lost their hearing to this let's play.

the one thing that will always bother me about this playthrough (i know i'm 10 years late, it's fine), is, if he was going to use the master ball on Tyrannitar anyway, why didn't he use it the moment Tyrannitar was in the field? rather than giving him a chance to attack?
Silly Chugga, Dragon was special in 3rd Gen.
It's hard to remember when it uses a move called DRAGON CLAW!!!!
@@thecoffeeshophey Even Crunch and Shadow Ball in Gen 2 and 3.
Evice; "and now, I'll use my demonic powers to......................................................... CHLLANGE YOU TO A POKEMON MATCH!!!!!" #;P
Liam McNulty I get the refrence. ;)

9:46-10:07. Best part of the whole video.
the master ball should've been used the moment Tyranitar was brought into the fight. would've saved some of the trouble Emile went through and he wouldn't have had to settle for a pyrrhic victory.
I think it is because he wasn't expecting that the team would be so dented at the start of the game. He probably used it as the last resort in this "do or die" situations.
We need to use slaking to beat corona
I refuse to accept that this series is FOUR YEARS OLD. WHAT. EVEN.
Robbie B. Totally
dude seeing Corona threw me off so hard.
“Corona does” omg
Nope, its a lame Shamy twist.
Also anyone that says its not a main game, is wrong. As it is listed at such in every official place that means something,
9:45
"Oh my god. Oh my god! OH MY GOD! HE'S AN IDIOT! HE'S AN IDIOT, GUYS! OH MY GOD!"
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Go corona go, oh my this sound so bad now that we are under the pandemic
lol reflect was the right choice even though dragon is special
Chuggaa, your freakouts are adorable.
I think that Es Cade, the Mayor an irrelevant character turning out to be the ultimate evil or Cipher has been the best plot twist in Pokemon. It was very surprising to me!
Y'know, I think that the developers intentionally programmed that strategy into Evice 2 show Y Slaking has Truant as his ability.
That would definitely make sense to me. When I first played Pokemon Emerald, I never understood why Slaking had that God awful ability. Now that I know that Slaking is stronger than most a lot of Legendary Pokemon, I definitely saw why it needed that hindrance.
WHY DID U DO THAT???? Epic.
I wish we dident have corona anymore
Literally praying for the people who listened to this 10 years ago with those headphones
Oh the irony in his Typhlosion being named Corona
OMG Eggman fused with Dr. Wily!
9:10 No Chansey joke?
You freaking out at the end was hysterical! This is where I got stuck on my game. Good stuff dude!
Hahahaha good Lord the Pokemon bad guys are so dumb sometimes aren't they, using an item at the last stage of a battle when he didn't need to.
Watching in 2018 :P
Why was using the X Attack bad?
ahhhhhhhhhh oki
*sigh* I teared up watching this in 2015 when chugga said, "so on the note of Satoru Iwata being the executive producer..."
Chugga, you missed a Chansey pun.
Why do Colosseum lpers always get rid of Umbreon???
Collin Drey Yeah. It's not necessarily that Umbreon is a bad Pokémon... but like you said, there are more efficient options for a wall.
Umbreon is a good mixed wall it's just a bit boring to use in single player.
+Sure why not if i LP'd colosseum i would've kept umbreon
9:44 RIP headphone users
Absolutely love this game, love Gale of Darkness too. This has been a real treat coming back to watch this years and years later
