The large crochet hook you showed looked to be a size Q. I made a baby blanket using 3 different colors in a single crochet. I haven't crocheted for years, but you and Cody have "inspired" me to try again! ❤
Hi Glenda and Cody. Thanks for the tour of the Walmart yarn and accessories section. I wish my Walmart had a clearance section in a separate place instead of having to hunt thru each shelf, but never clearly marked. It's always a challenge. I loved seeing some of the Amagurumi kits shown today too. ❤
The Coboo yarn is beautiful to work with and so very soft! I bought mine at Jo Anne's! Wish my Walmart carried this much yarn! I might actually shop there if they had a decent amount of yarn! I really try to stay away from Walmart and shop Michael's, Jo Anne's, Hobby Lobby! They need us!!!
There are two Walmarts in my area of PA and they hardly have anything. Only a little yarn, switched to just fabric precuts, a few hooks and needles and then some sewing notions. Yours is much better stocked.

My walmart was also getting low on peaches and cream. I'm making fox amigurumis for my grandkids with the mainstays cotton in green and red. It's so nice to work with.

Cody, I’ve done needle felting quite a bit for awhile. I enjoyed it but, those needles really hurt when you miss the piece you’re working on because they have barbs on them.
I didn’t see all the thread and embroidery last time I was there. I was looking at a punch kit online recently b/c I was like Cody, I am interested but have not tried-thanks for highlighting that! 😊 I do actually like the Mainstay cotton and happy that they added the red and green-noooot really a fan of that green though lol 🤷♀ My Peaches & Cream was pretty empty at the two stores I went to as well. I am a really big fan of the LionBrand Hometown. It’s a wonderful alternative to gift for those allergic or who do not like wool 🥰 Lots of good ideas! I think I’m going to go pick up a few of those felting kits at the end for Christmas presents❣ OH! ALSO if someone is traveling over these holidays and wants something to do it would be fun to pick up. Fun tour -thanks guys 😊
A tornado blew out our front & back doors yesterday in Vero Beach,Florida. Very scary. A very large box of yarn is still in our pool, lol. Thankfully my family is ok. It was just such a shock when it hit!! 😳
I found the Lion Brand Mandala Bonus Bundle in the color Meowth at my local Wallie for $9.97 instead of the regular $14.99 price. It's a DK weight, but I love the colorway. Cheers!
My Walmart has the same sale.the pioneer woman yarn and crochet hooks were a great deal. Plus they had everything well stocked for mainstay and redheart yarns. I am not a fan of the little kits so much. If they go on sale I might buy one to try. Thankyou for the review.
Hi Glenda and Cody! I like your shop alongs. Amigurumi, not so much. The frogs never look like frogs to me, so if I ever make any Amigurumi (doubtful), I'd make a frog that looks like a frog! I have frogs in my garden who may model for me. Peace and Blessings 🧶😊🐸

Our Walmarts don't have the boxed kits or the felting kits. I'm still waiting for them to bring in the green christmasy glitter yarn. They have it in black, red, white, blue, a country rose, and grey/silver. All being between two brands, Red Heart and Mainstays. Unfortunately, there is no green, but maybe soon. I tried Hobby Lobby, but the green sparkle yarn they have is not as rich of a green that you see at Christmas. Micheal's definitely doesn't have yet if they even will, and Joann's is too far away.
Pretty much got rid of all the fabric, cut way way WAY back on yarn. Im not happy. Have some fabric pre-cut, so no one has to cut fabric for customers. Don’t like that at all. 🥺☹️😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

The large hook that was there I use them to make my crochet rugs. I use ripped up sheets or any material.
