In my opinion: "normal people" are more often true-netral people, who like good and dislike evil, but don't often go out of their way to be alturistic.
I am not a fan of your style choices in video making, but you do such an excellent job explaining that I will watch every single video that is relevant to me. That is a rare gift
My bf is this alignment and I am a chaotic neutral. Your videos are so good and your explanations are so clear yet fun to listen to. I feel happy I found them!
someone tried telling me the only proper way to play chaotic good is by being robin hood with more morals and he is playing a neutral good as a complete hippie.
I've done so many tests and quizzes for stuff like this. And every single one always results with me being true neutral, which I think is pretty rare, but also very accurate to my personality and morals
My NG Definition: - One who benevolently believes in what is right. - What most are called: The Hero. - Examples: Harry Potter, Spider Man, Katniss Everdeen, Anne Boonchuy, Shazam, etc. 🖐😇💐
Oh man, you should really read the books. Book Tyrion is such a great character. He's good on the show as well but you don't get to read his thoughts as you can in the book.
hes my bet for winning game of thrones if theres a winner. In the books if we ever get them. he is martins fav character, of corse samwell and john snow must be int he running.
I'm 3 years late but who cares. It's a good video! my alignment is Neutral Good; what is funny is that i've always loved Tyrion over everyone else in AOIF, is that too narcissistic? hehe, idc. He's worth it.
It's absolutely not set. Though yes tieflings have demonic heritage that does not make their personality. It will form people's first impression of them but you can get some great roleplaying out of just trying to do the right thing despite what people might think about you. Your character can be whatever alignment you want it to be. Thought be aware your alignment can change. What is important is what your characters motivations are. What drives them? What do they hope to do? What are they afraid of?
That's the fantastic thing about 5e. No class/race is bound to an alignment. My current character is a silver dragonborn. Typically dragonborns aren't drawn towards certain alignments like dragons (metallics = good, chromatic = evil) but society can view them differently just like teiflings. I chose a silver dragonborn in the hope that people would think I'm a good guy, jokes on them lol.
I disagree no alignment restrictions is fantastic. I like the restrictions, it makes a lot of sense for some of the classes. I will never let people play a non lawful good paladin. While some like the no lawful barbarians could be argued in they are lawful by their tribes standards, it makes a lot of sense when they leave their tribes to adventure. I feel is often forces you to put yourself in the mindset of somebody that grew into their class.
@GuildMasterDan I know it's been a while since you made your alignment videos, but It would be wonderful if they were all in a easy to access playlist... :
Hey Dan really in to your stuff man helps a lot but I was curious to know if you'd ever help a straight up new guy learn to play any table top rpg. Preferably DnD I've been wanting to learn how to play and try it out but I can never find people.
I certainly intend for there to be. We're currently working on getting other people to contribute stories. Though Guild Maus and I have more stories we could tell, I'd like the series to stick to players/GMs favorite tales.
***** I wish I could contribute but I've hardly ever gotten a chance to role play, attempts of role playing with my parents have been lackluster at best
I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried finding a group on the website Roll20? You don't always find the group for you, but they have a pretty good system for finding groups.
I agree with your line of thinking because there have been a few times I've looked at your intro pics of alignment examples and rearranged them the way you would. It actually annoys me how you put all the effort in explaining these concepts when the intro pics do not exemplify them!
Thinking about Gotham Villains that are not the Joker, I find that a lot of them are surprisingly Principled, Riddler has a strict code of conduct...I'm not sure if he's really principled or OCD, Poison Ivy and Ra's Al Ghoul do heinous things in the name of the environment, and Catwoman is an Animal Rights Activists...It's kind unclear how selfish or selfless Poison Ivy or Catwoman are, since they seem to care about Non-Humans more then Humans
Good points! I'd definite;y call Ridler Principled Selfish. In fact it's core to his character. He's his own worst enemy because he HAS to leave clues for Batman. Ra's al ghul I'd probably classify as Principled Selfish. He would claim that he's Good or Neutral, there have been times where he's shown that he will preserve himself over his subordinates "for the greater good". It's similar to how Magneto would be LE, because he doesn't want equality, he wants supremacy. As for the sirens, I'd probably say that Harley is CN because she's insanely selfless as far as Joker is concerned but selfish everywhere else. Catwoman is hard to pin down with multiple interpretations, but over all I'd say she's probably NG or CG. Lastly, Ivy is iffy for me. She's definitely Lawful because she has clear beliefs, but I'd lean towards evil. I mean you could argue that she might be selfless towards plants, but I've never seen her take a bullet for a plant, and she does keep throwing them into danger. I'd say LE for the same reasons as Ra's and Magneto. She doesn't want peace for plants, she was supremacy, and she'll do anything to get it.
***** Scarecrow my favorite Batman Villain I'm guessing is Neutral Evil as he has very vague principals other then...Hurt the world that Hurt Me...I don't know if Scarecrow is going to be in the next segment but this is my guess what he is
I will have to agree with you on everything except Fluttershy and Twilight should swap places... Clearly Twilight Is lawful-good, and Fluttershy has befriended discord ffs obviously she's neutral-good
I'm sorry that you felt that way, but if you don't care for my presentation or my interpretation of alignment, might I recommend this video on alignment from Dael Kingsmill over on her channel Monarchs Factory: ua-cam.com/video/k1CDYsLL0aY/v-deo.html Alternatively, our channel's own Guild Maus does player advice videos, but none yet on alignment.
It's because he has attributes that offend the hierarchy of your religion. The presenter treats everyone with respect, whether you do or not so the problem isn't in him it's in you.
In my opinion: "normal people" are more often true-netral people, who like good and dislike evil, but don't often go out of their way to be alturistic.
Absolutely right.
More like ‘like things that benefit them and dislikes things that harm them’.
I am not a fan of your style choices in video making, but you do such an excellent job explaining that I will watch every single video that is relevant to me. That is a rare gift
Thank you. I'm very much a video ametuer, but I am glad you still get something worthwhile out of my videos.
My bf is this alignment and I am a chaotic neutral. Your videos are so good and your explanations are so clear yet fun to listen to. I feel happy I found them!
Well...according to this analysis, I would be considered a neutral-good character.
I feel myself floating between neutral good and true neutral :)
I took the official alignment quiz in the D&D website and I got Neutral Good
someone tried telling me the only proper way to play chaotic good is by being robin hood with more morals and he is playing a neutral good as a complete hippie.

Nice upload. Can't wait for the rest.
Thank you so much for doing these videos.

This is an absolutely phenomenal series, man. Congratulations.
Would think he was an ideal chaotic good. Picard is an ideal neutral good leaning heavily into lawful good.
I'm kinda new to DnD. I'm a teifling, can I be neutral good or is my alignment set?
It's absolutely not set. Though yes tieflings have demonic heritage that does not make their personality. OMG SPOILERS!
For Game of Thrones, S4E10, in case anyone was wondering.
whether someone asked me what neutral good is I point to himura Kenshin from ruroni Kenshin.
Do you reply to comments?
Not as much as I used to. But if I see the comment and have something to add I'll try to.
OMG! OMG! OMG! THANK YOU!
I did say, "soon."
***** Neutral Good is my favorite Alignment
Spiderman is a neutral good character
@GuildMasterDan I know it's been a while since you made your alignment videos, but It would be wonderful if they were all in a easy to access playlist... :
This is a fair point. Thank you for the suggestion!
Cant wait for the next one

I would consider myself a chaotically good character
HOLY CRAP could you make it any faster!!
Wow I did not expect Mothra in here
Tyrion in the books is absolutely NE
Dragon force? Great choice.
Will there be more Tales From the Tabletop in the future?
I certainly intend for there to be. We're currently working on getting other people to contribute stories. Though Guild Maus and I have more stories we could tell, I'd like the series to stick to players/GMs favorite tales.

God you look so cool in your profile picture, thoughtful and interesting, but most certainly not hipstery or douchebaggy.
*TIPS FEDORA*
Yes
Baldurs gate enhanced edition anyone ? 8)))
This aged really badly.
Why?
@@Lobsterwithinternet His alignment became Lawful Stupid by the series end.
I've always seen ng as selfless pragmatists. Obviously ne being selfish pragmatists.
I think you mean altruistic (other people at my expense) pragmatist vs egoistic (me at other people's expense) pragmatist. And I think you're right.
if you ever do that SPOILERS Fuckin BS a gen you will loose subs dont do that it was not Good/selfless....
jesus why does everything about this scream “mansplaining” i just came here for help on planning my character ugh. ugh. now i need to scrub this off.
I'm sorry that you felt that way, but if you don't care for my presentation or my interpretation of alignment, might I recommend this video on alignment from Dael Kingsmill over on her channel Monarchs Factory: ua-cam.com/video/k1CDYsLL0aY/v-deo.html
