If you think Virtua Racing's use of the abbreviation "CP" is bad... Tokyo Extreme Racer uses CP as currency, and the games have a fun little gimmick where they assign you nicknames each week based on what you're doing, including money grinding--so the player could conceivably end up being named something like "HARDCORE CP FIEND."
Hang on had a great conversion to the sega master system. I find the engine note so hypnotic... When i play it's like meditation for me. I think i even levitated once while playing. or it may have just been bad wind from my tortilla chips. they were past their use by date
I enjoyed this video and since you're a small youtuber I'll make the effort to try to provide some hopefully helpful feedback in this comment: In my opinion it was the clean looking thumbnail with the eye-catching use of Daytona's font for the main text combined with the title, which made me expect an exploration of the topic, that made me click on this video. The anthology format allowed you to show the evolution of the genre and you provided good commentary that was both entertaining and informative. The fact that you had notes prepared made it feel like a blend between a lets play and a casual presentation. That was probably my favorite aspect to this video. Your editing game for this video was on point as well. Because of those reasons I watched the whole thing despite not actually playing any of these games before. Since you also added chapters for each game it also made it easier to finish the video over multiple sittings. I think you've found yourself a winning formula in this video. You could probably repeat this format for different genres, developers and franchises that you want to geek out about.
I get ever since sega lost their Ferrari license there's no chance of those games returning but I'd love to see a modern port/collection of their other games. Hell the last time daytona was available on 7th gen consoles but it's proof it's possible to do.
04:34 The 'Ferrari' logo on the back of the car ... is it a horse or is it a guy very happy to see you ?!?! Whatever you pick, it's always pointing in the direction you're steering 😇
i love playing 90s arcade racers, i have never heard of Rad Mobile before and im kinda disappointed in myself for that. watching you crash in that game is like a jumpscare 😅, anyway great video dude i'll be sure to watch your future content and streams!
I never really liked Daytona if I am going to be honest, but Sega Rally and Rally 2 was awesome. Especially Sega Rally 2 :O but now I need to go Super Sonic Racing ;)
this is the kind of ludo-kino content that I really go for. subbed

Geez. And I thought the worst-sounding thing that naming system could do was "Quick Swallow"
@@lajenehuen260 I personally got "Essence of Boy" for like 3 straight weeks
Me at 1:47 "ok this is definitely my kind of stupid, please continue" 😂👌🖤

Fun fact: Rad Mobile was Sega’s first 32-bit game ever.
@@vidjenko8349 cooool! 32bit games have a special place in my heart

these are the classics.
everything else afterwards might look better, but is superficial and derivative.
no point in really going further.
