Sharpe and ant should be the starting backcourt for the next decade + they are elite that’s a fact
Yeah, I want to see Sharpe starting with Ant and also Sharpe playing with Scoot when Scoot comes off the bench. Just to see what type of player allows him to be an ideal version of himself and what's best for the team. Then we can see what moves might need to be made from there.
New Blazer fan since this year (cause of toumani 😂), so I didn't know much of sharpe before this season but he should defenitely start. He's our biggest talent and this year should be used to develop him as much as they can.
Agree, he should be starting. The coaching staff should focus on Shaedon Sharp's development as their priority mentally and physically.
Sharpe needs to start period. Let Scoot be the primary ball handler off the bench.

Yessssss bro I haven’t tuned into the past few games but I was like why isn’t he starting. We gotta see if a future of scoot, sharpe, and simons can work. He’s way more important to our future than Camara, though I like him.
I want him to put up 20 shots a game no matter if he starts or comes off the bench.Brogdon and Grant need to go.Not that they don’t help this team win,but there’s just not enough touches for scoot sharpe ant…And aren’t in the long term plans

They got the whole starting lineup screwed up I don’t get it.
Shaedon is already an elite-level athlete in terms of talent, arguably the biggest talent on the team. He just needs to work on ball handling and play-making/ game reading, and reduce those t/o ratio. but I have no doubt he is not a role player which looks like Blazer is trying to lay the path for him.
Let scoot figure it out starting as point simons at the sg shard on shadow is the same height as Zion he will be fine at sf and grant at the four and austin or Williams at the 5
They're obviously showcasing Brogdon, Thybulle and Grant for trades.
I get the feeling Murray is getting paraded lately too.
I wish they'd keep Mattise on the bench for some much needed defence that we're kind of sacrificing by going with Sharpe and Ant
Scoot needs to come off the bench. Sharpe has proven himself and needs to rewarded. Sharpe would’ve had 4-5 assists yesterday if his teammates had made their shots or hadn’t passed out of open shots

I know what they are doing, they are trying so sell Ant and Malcom, Sharpe is a lock. Otherwise we would trade Sharpe for OG and Dame would stay

Yes Sharpe should start scoot can come off bench he does better off bench Brogdon needs to get traded these young players need to have playing time I feel u should earn your starting spot u can’t get consistency if you don’t have the same group playing together chancy has no clue what he is doing he seems to play his favorites Ayton can get traded he clogs the center so point guard can’t drive in he doesn’t get rebounds. I am not sure about grant on the fence about him. Great win OT but scoot was on the bench sharpe was in. Sharpe is so laid back hard to judge if is effecting him coming off bench. Sharpe Ant play well together
Sharpe needs the spark Torey. He needs to show urgency. This whole I dont care mentality doesnt work. He is too inconsistent with energy
It’s just doesn’t make sense to me what Billups is doing … when sharpe is aggressive & has the ball in his hands he’s effective so why not have him in the starting lineup knowing he’s top 2 priority wise on the developmental scale … I feel like sharpe should be starting at the 3 for now w Henderson & Simon’s OR Simon’s & sharpe in the back court playing like 34 min so you keep him fresh not fatigued … on top of all of this I need some plays being called for sharpe pin downs & back door alleys like cmon 🤦🏻♂️

Sharpe needs minutes at the 2 in order to get the skill development he needs. starting or not, playing him at the 3 all the time is slowing down his offensive development, given how unimaginative our offense is.

Sharpe is sulky about not starting and that attitude seems to dampen his enthusiasm when he comes off the bench. Some players would have their competitive instinct triggered by that situation and play more aggressively and try to maximize their efficiency to show they should be starting. Sharpe, so far seems to be a retreater, not a fighter and that observation is independent of him deserving to start. Sharpe is not wrong, he should be starting over Scoot. But not letting team politics affect his play could be a step in his maturation Sharpe hasn't made yet. There's still time he is young but right now it isnt a good look. Sharpe needs to realize he, not Scoot gets the money minutes at the end of the game and he is getting every opportunity to shine if the game is close at the end.

Sharpe does not have the killer instinct. Having watched last year and this year I just don't see him trying to will his team to a win, like you said, retreater. With the game on the line Sharpe has been disappearing.
Y'all are sick in the head, he's 19, 19 years old and the only player you can make an argument for being better than HIM is Simons. Also, when Sharpe was carrying the team, we wer3 3-3. That might not seem great but considering we've only won 10 games, Sharpe is responsible single handedly for 33% of our victories... not to mention Sharpe has set multiple Blazer records in the process.

My complaint is Sharpe playing harder during the 3-3 period you talked about than he does now. As a note about that his points per minute when starting is .61 and .49 when not starting. Thats gotta be at least partially attitude related. All blazer fans want to see the guy fully engaged and having fun but if he's only going to give that if he's starting that's weak.
@tylerking5354 while I always tell myself this and my friends and family when defending him. Go watch some replays of kobes year 2. Some players have "IT" and some don't. Right now sharp does not have "IT"
@@user-fj2sp4lb9x lol first off you're comparing him to Kobe which in itself means that you consider him in that tier/caliber of player. Kobe though in his 2nd year only averaged 15ppg, Sharpe is averaging 16.7ppg. He got IT, he is HIM. Lakers instilled ALL of their confidence into Kobe, gave him the keys to the franchise. Sharpe is coming off the bench, playing 3rd or 4th fiddle to some BUMS. I wish the Blazers would do the same for Sharpe, I wonder what his stats would look like.
If sharpe gave the same effort as scoot then he should start. But this back and forth of I care I don’t care needs to stop. We already have one ayton.
Comes down to coaching. They run 0 offense. On adjustments defensively. They are going to blame Shaedon when it's actually Chauncey. Let's hope this doesn't break Shaedon confidence and we ruin another great player under this leadership.

Scoot will never be half as good as scoot so why would you want him starting??? Scoot needs to be traded asap for a first or a player.

It's the worst possible decision Billups can make. Scoot is still a rookie and could really benefit from coming off the bench this year. Sharpe on the other hand was making his case for most improved player of the year, then he got hurt. I don't think I've ever seen a situation where a player is breaking out as a Bonafide star, gets hurt and what seems like a punishment for his injury, he is sent to the bench. Maybe it's personal between Billups and Sharpe, maybe it's precautionary, I don't know. What I do know is the impact that type of move can have on a young developing player. This could severely damage trust between him and the coaching staff and possibly worse, the organization. The Blazers SUCK this year and the one silver lining in this season was Sharpe's ascension to stardom. So much hangs on this situation because I do believe Sharpe is HIM! If the Blazers somehow manage to blow this opportunity and he leaves, or they trade him I will turn my back on the Blazers and will no longer be a fan.
