Great video Alex! I've been planning for years to move to the Philippines from southwest Florida. Recently I've begun considering Malaysia. Best if I could connect with a good Filipina! 👍 I hope to see many more videos of M'sia from you. Andrew Taylor, Ben Fishermin and Retite and go are good vloggers there!
Cool video Alex. I think going back 1 day soon. I could almost taste the food you were eating. Was only once in KL, but I remember especially the very tasty food. Looking forward to your other videos there!
Great video, nice to see you in Malaysia! The food looks delicious 😊 (The apartment is perfect, like a hotel but private entrance, private laundry and fridge makes it much more comfortable than a hotel room).

Malaysia is slowly switching to biodegradable stuff in their packaging. For a start we start using paper straws and straws made from rice which when it gets soften you can consume it .
Welcome to Malaysia! How are you doing since the last time that I saw you in Cebu? I honestly think judging from the above-mentioned video that you appear to have found a fairly good apartment in Kuala Lumpur. I arrived in Malaysia days ago as well, and speaking from experience good quality, and affordable accommodation in Kuala Lumpur can be a huge challenge.
Hi! I'm doing great thanks yea accommodations are slightly more expensive but I find the unite and amenities to be of good quality. How you find something decent soon.
Regarding the accomodation costs: I don´t pay for the big space I also pay for quality. Your place seems nice enough for my standards. Malaysia is very popular especially with freelancers. I know a few people who reside there half a year for tax benefits :D They only return for the clearance and to visit family, rest of the year they are traveling to the neighbouring countries just like you do. Living the dream of many.
An equivalent Airbnb studio in it park avida towers riala is $766 a month for 1-2 months sans patio. Malaysia is dramatically cheaper than the Philippines.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I would agree. Bit given my short term rental, using airbnb, and locatio, plus all inclusive, for me at least it isn't too bad. Thanks for letting us know your perspective as a local 🇲🇾😁
Your apartment is the same price as the PH's but much nicer for the same money. The food is better and cheaper than the PH's. I love spicy hot food. Walking the streets is (as you said) not so chaotic traffic, honking, loud mufflers, pollution like the PH's and they actually have real sidewalks in Malaysia! People speak English there like the PH's too but the retirement visa is expensive that's the number one downfall next to the dating scene for us older christian white guys in Malaysia.
@@Livingabroadalex Very true! Now that I'm 55 years old I don't really like picking up and leaving every 2-6 months (depending on the country) and finding a new place to live. I think when I leave Canada the next time I'll hit all the S.E. Asian countries 1st before ending in the PH's. Or I might land in Georgia first because we can stay there for 1 year on a tourist visa. If I do, I might as well stay in Armenia for 6 months as long as they don't hassle me at the border like poor Alex! haha. And I'll have to pack my nice clothes as well.
I'm in the Philippines. Definitely motivated me to visit Malaysia.
I love malaysia..❤ welcome back alwx..enjoy

The Zeus coffee - fyi, the straw is edible alex!

Yea IT park is definitely overpriced
Did you get 90 day visa upon arrival? In another video you only visited 30 days . I want to make sure how it works. Thanks
For Canadians, yes 90 days.
As a Malaysian, that apartment is pricey for the space...at RM2000 you can get a nicer studio apartment with better decor and furniture.

i'm guessing the price of the meal is rm12, before i finish watching.
after watching the video - aww you didn't say the price.
Whoa really my bad. I think I may have forgot. It was 17 RM
@@Livingabroadalex thanks bro
Like KL a lot but like Mallaca even more Maybe $15 and 2 hours for a bus there
I have to take a weekend trip there and check it out!
@@Livingabroadalex I am twice as old as you. It might be too slow for you, but I like it. Easy to drive few tall buildings.

Good video but the music is annoying
I put the volume at 3 out of 100 😅

I can't disagree with anything you said. I guess it comes down to what stage in your life you are and what you're looking for

Sounds like you got a good plan!
Have you no shame? Featuring Burger King when in KL! I would have left it out of the video.😂
