Fire Reid, here are some tips . I know you didn't ask for it but sharing is caring . (1) In regards to the pest eating up the Callaloo , you can use come " ORGANIC " Garden Neem Oil to limit the pests . Use about 3 Table spoon of Neem Oil in about 1 Gallon of water + 1/2 a Teaspoon of Parmoloive Dish Soap , this should be added to the mix to help the Neem oil properly mix with the water . Use this mixture to spray on the Callaloo leaves a, stems and around the soil , this should be done either early in the morning or at evening ( NOT when the Sun is Scorching Not ). This mixture when sprayed on the plants will help by deterring the pests from sharing in on your harvest of Callaloo. ( This spray and technique is still considered organic for your ORGANIC CALLALOO ). (2) Its best to remove the seeds from the Scotch Bonnet Peppers and allow them to dry for at least 48 Hours in the sun then plant the seeds. Space out the seed to at least 8 inches apart , place at lease 2 - 3 seed at each spot to ensure germination , this will ensure a healthier plants and a bigger harvest . Peace and Blessings .

If you have a balcony then you can grow callaloo too in containers. The plant is called amaranth. Not sure where you live but check your local plant shop if they have any seeds.

Mealy bugs are killing my green callaloo! Red callaloo is flourishing but I have NEVER ate as much as a leaf from the green ones. Tried just about every "organic" solution (hydrogen peroxide, Neem oil and soap, etc)
