My favorite place in Jamaica...I sell for 14 years in that town.. most friendly people in Jamaica
We are all the same people!= One jamaica.
When will black people stop seeing colour among ourself we all black. Just left St.Elizabeth such a nice place. But all I kept hearing is yuh pretty fi a black woman kmt. I felt degraded .My own people can be so rude and hypocritical. Then they call others racist I’m black and proud.🖤
Can't you just accept a friendly compliment
Pretty for a black girl why would a man say that to a woman more over its insult to a woman of color. 🇺🇲🇺🇲
Because unfortunately that mentality is heavily woven in colonial Slavery. Where the plantation owners pitted the light skinned Slave against the dark skinned Slave. The light skinned one's worked in the house, and the dark ones toiled out in field, doing back breaking work. Please read up on Willy Lynch. A plantation owner from Bermuda, who wrote many a pamphlets on how to train a negro Slave.
@@biggasmelly it's an insult. She's Pretty, not pretty for a black girl. Do you say you're Pretty for a brown girl? No.
@@thatgirl7909 listen. If we let every litte comment mek we feel mad, then high blood pressure and heart disease is definitely on the cards.
You know how many times I have been called a big ugly black man by some black women in Jamaica. Not directly, but under dem breath. They were trying to be funny. But mi nuh mek dem tings mad me, or get emotional, me just smile. And the funny thing about it is this, the woman saying it, is always darker than me. Colonialist mindset!!
I love how the start he's close to my mums work just beside
always clean and houses well kept doesn't matter how small.
Back u on that one,i love St Bess.St.Bess is my Neighboring Parish,Am a Galchesterian Straight.
Brings back alot of memories growing up as a child and left there to the UK.many years ago, you.never forget where you come from as always in your heart.

My now sadly deceased wife was from Treasure Beach. After retiring from England we settled in Southfield and visited Junction frequently. She always described herself and other people with light complexions as being "Red".

@@davgar4241These are the small minded people that does nothing for Jamaica home and abroad. 😒
I love your videos but I don’t like that title. When mi tell ppl I’m from St. Elizabeth all I hear is “nuh red people live there how you suh black” as if St. E wasn’t the biggest Parrish before it severed off into westmorland and Manchester. Woman of all colors live on the south side.
I understand Alexanderia thanks for the feed back
my wife has to deal with this all the time too. she from the dark skin Afrikan part of St E, in the Nassau mountains Northeast near Manchester
My dad use to kiss his teeth and call people ignorant when they use to say that to him.

Is it only the southside that have mix colour residents...what about the East and west
This is what slavery and colonialism has done to people.
That was a beau5day for a beautiful walk around Junction. Thanks for sharing. So many beautiful sights and sounds. Onward and Upward always.
Junction looks better than Santa cruz more open, modern and spacious, like what i am seeing!
Junction is a self sufficient community on the south coast where people built up that town in a community settings..Santa Cruz is in the east and very hot...it is very busy with every thing available but also grimy and needs a face lift
Am not bias yes my town look way better Fire reid keep. IT up dont stop we love u respect Fire

@@FireReid Thank you sir. I love Junction Town and St Elizabeth. My adopted parents own their home in Ocho Rios, St Ann but they want to sell the house cause they can't take the tourists keep asking them for directions to all over the place so they want to live where there are no tourists to keep bothering them so the bought land on St Elizabeth and are going to build a mega house there and I'm coming

Di sky blue n pretty eeh..no air pollution

I love st Elizabeth was my trip I stayed there when hurricane Charlie hit there I went round after it on a motorbike with the person I stayed with and I really liked black river .
Great video has anyone heard of the Lodge from St Elizabeth a woman who used to live near to them told me they are very fair skinned with long curly hair my mother is Lodge but her grandfather ,fair skinned also, and the rest of his Lodge family occupied 2 houses next door on Fleet St.in kingston from the early 1900 could have also been from the late 1800.
I do not get it. What does people skin colour have to do with this?🙄 seriously?
Exactly! This is totally embarrassing!
Think he is just making a comparison
Everyone knows junction st Elizabeth have the most brown women living their that's not strange to no Jamaican ask me I know

Good look black river nice town
I been visting here for 12 years since the Big Resorts and the Rude Tourists invaded Negril. I love this place and the People. Quiet and Friendly. Like to keep it that way. Much Love n Respect.
very nice place
Nice paved road thru the town
They need to be careful in Junction, a market is needed urgently. Continued growth without proper organization and infrastructure will cause chaos.
Junction has a market
@@r0sebrown57 ok thanks, so it's the vendors that need to use it.
You are right about the market I was just thinking the same thing myself
Yes understandable but they don't need the bend down market what they need is a More modern market more like a super farmers market where all the sellers have their own space more like a plaza but open to the customers and have good walk space to move around that way it will be well kept and secured.
@@michaelferguson3317 to be honest this is my home town and was very exclusive until recently when we let in others to our market space. There has been a couple murders on my quiet descent people that has change our family oriented community. Therefore no market to attract the most undesirable people. Too much going on to a place that was a once a safe heaven.
Yow Fyah 🔥
blessings
I can say yes to that one,my grand father is from junction and hes a Man of colour
Respect 🔥🙏👍🌹🌹🌹🙏😇 buy the plants.

Very clean decent town I'm impressed.
yes very clean
Big black clouds
It’s all well and good junction is growing fast but Big town come with big problem just two things needed now a tax office and a market . Big up Fire Read
They do have a market!!
Nice video, just a few browning
they never come out much that day
Him go too early man
Putting up more buildings within a confined space without the proper infrastructure is not improvement or progress it's chaotic madness and It usually comes back to haunt us.
true, I can only imagine the chaos that will ensue when KFC opens, it will be one big headache with traffic. I don't see the MP or the counselors doing anything about it, they should at least install some traffic lights, as usualy they act after the fact in jamaica. Never the less Junction is a very nice town big up mi place!
@@rudeboylexy Now KFC is open and it has not caused any traffic pile up or any problems. The road that is behind KFC is there to ease the traffic.
Vastly improved from the last time I went there......they need to build a hospital in either Junction or Santa Cruz and do away with Black River
I like the changes. U walking
😂
thanks alot
Fire buy the flowers from them they are my family ❤️❤️❤️❤️💯🌟Mr Mrs Nembhard ask them
I use to live in Cheapside just a throw stone above Witters&son funeral home, this was in the 90's I was about 10yrs old.i attended the Morning Side Primary and ALL Age School.our Town was Junction,in the 90's Junction never developed suh.but in the 90's we know Junction was gonna be a developing Town to be recognized.

I want the business people them in Junction to put camera up on every buildings in the Town, suh the criminals can be caught when them commits any crime in the Town.
I don't see that many brown people in this video. Looks like a nice place, people tell me that St. Elizabeth is one of the safer places in Jamaica to live
well that is the browing town
@@FireReid Well, I plan to move to Jamaica very soon and I think I need to move somewhere I can be that is safe and people won't beg me so much money because I am "high color". So this video interested me, thank you for this. I have never been to St Elizabeth, my family is from Westmoreland, right to the west
you welcome david
I HAVE ALWAYS HEARD ABOUT THIS
True pure browning come from junction
me tell them but they don't believe me
St best full of brownies a yah suh nice
same so
Middle quarters has brown woman too
yes they do
Greetings
I am so confused when Jamaicans use the term brown to describe someone who has light skin
Whatever happened to the term fair skin ?
Just look at a brown crayon now that's brown
Not only am I confused but also my young daughter who has light skin
Did Buju really start this stupid concept?
No Buju did not start it, it's deeply historical coming from the period when we were enslaved. " Brown skin" was the general term used to describe all degrees of fair skinned person. It was a more general term compared to the Spanish and French who had many terms to describe the equally many shades of colours arising from the mixing of black and and the different shades in between.
I agree, but what is more confusing is the fact that black people are brown skinned, various shades of brown. Sometimes I am so embarrassed by the ignorance of my people.
I understand l have them in my family line also names like Newman ,Massey and Lodge but they got mixed up with the indians called Halliburton from St Thomas and on my fathers side Delgado who are jews mingled with indians also surnames like Lamb,Budram and Collesso and Budram Williams these are east indians and refer to themselves as coolies which they wrote on their birth certificates back then.
I have the same question! Lol. Browning sauce is dark brown so why?!?!
