So cool to see the dragon brand finally overseas. I just got my lightning yesterday in Australia and I’m loving it. Fully charged these things will go past the 70kph speed you got on your test video. They have a small delay at around 65kph then kick into what feels like another gear or a boost power mode which will take lighter riders past 90kph.
As for tyres get your self a good set of road tyres. My mate from dc unplugged here on UA-cam has some very good videos about his lightning. He was one of the first to get one in Australia and had been testing some awesome mods. Check out his videos.
Enjoy the scooter bud. They are a fantastic bit of kit for a fantastic price

We love ours! We already changed tyres for road PMT but going back to other brand (road or hybrids) as the ride is very wobbly at high speeds. They are great for cornering but too scary to ride anywhere over 60kmph. On off-road ones I was easily able to go at 78kmph with some reserve still left.

Thanks for this review, so refreshing not having to listen to ridiculous music, or a rider huffing, puffing or squealing ‘for effect’ when riding, you also showed us footage of the features as you spoke about them, quite often other YT’s don’t do this..
When you added the wider bars did the original cables require replacement or were you able to retain the original cables? If original cables were retained did it restrict your turning ability? I assume the battery is capable of being charged with 2 chargers simultaneously (once removed from the deck) for a faster charge? After owning the scooter for a while are there any other mods apart from bars, tyres and headlight you’d recommend? Did you install a dampener yet? Have you experienced any issues with the scooter? What ranges are you achieving? Thanks for your honest, very informative and easy to watch review.

    Thanks for review!
Idk if it is the recording but when you drove it sounded almost like it had a regular petrol engine or is it the tyres that makes so much noise?
Also I had a really hard time hearing when you talked in the video explaining features and stuff I had to turn up the volume to the max on YT and my speaker volume knob and still your voice was very low. Btw the sound was fine in the part where you drove the scooter.
Maybe something to think about if you are going to make more videos. Just a thought though.🙂

    Hey bud :) good review.
Just wondering if you could send me the link for the new red handlebars? They look great. Also.. was that only 60km from half battery straight out of the box or was it fully charged? Was that in its highest mode flat out also or just everyday riding?
Do you know if they are Samsung/LG batteries 🔋or generic Chinese one's?
23ah is very decent so i would of expected at least around 70 to 85kms range. ( every day riding) Since my Kaabo Mantis Elite managed to get 67km range ( every day riding ) on a 18ah battery ( Samsung ) cells though. In Australia 🇦🇺 this model comes with the 26ah battery though 👌
Any input would be great as I'm looking into purchasing this scooter very soon if things check out :)

Have ridden one in Aus. Very jerky speed controller and really hard to roll on just a bit of speed for cruising at 25 - 30 kph. Hitting 68 kph with no gloves is a risk nobody should take!
