Excellent shot ! What load did you use ?
300 Win Mag is probably my favorite 30 cal round.
This looks like Walt Disney produces this video. Lol 😂
many say a 300wm is too small? i wouldn't waste any time talking to many, many is clueless
Shot placement is king my brother inlaw shot 1k lbs right in the heart ran 50 yards and died
You Can't Always Get a proper place shot like Ruark said use enough gun
@@craigleibbrand7761
the 06 has killed every critter on earth. the 300 is plenty for a brown
@@boedude8496 22lr has killed big bears. Doesnt mean its a good idea
Nobody has said that a .300 win mag isn't enough for a brown bear.
It's enough but it's also not considered a stopping cartridge. A 338 win mag and up are considered stopping cartridges.
Reminds me of watching nature's shows in the 90's. Awesome video and great shot by the way.
Nice shot Keith. I only have one running shot I remember. It was a coyote that ranged 425 yards where he dropped. It was a straight away shot with 270win and I sent it from bunghole to chest. No deer that year, but that lucky shot made it worth it.
I love the old school hunting shows.
Dad already booked us a hunt for bear!
Going to go to Prince of Wales island in SE Alaska. Bringing my .416 Ruger and my 6.5 Grendel.
Sounds good, you must be a lucky girl that can reap the benefits of a wealthy family!
Please make a video about your rifle.
You and I had color to our hair back when this was videoed.....🤣
300 win mag is strong why they say not strong enough they want a 50bmg next
It is a potent round. The reason why larger calibers are suggested is because they are stoppers. You can drop a large brown bear with a 7mm Rem. Mag but you can't stop a 1200 lbs charging one five yards from you, certainly not as efficiently as you can with a 375 H&H.
@@paulhomsy2751 Did you not see the video he just killed a brown bear with one shot using a 300 Win Mag, he didn't even need a safety shot. Why go any bigger that's ridiculous. I can go back and say that many hunters have used the 375 H&H and complained so why not go with the 458 Lott or better yet a 505 Gibbs.
I love your vids!
Thx Keith👍👌😊😀☺️
great shot , congratulations ,, I read all Andy Russels books loved them
reminds me of growing up watching Tuesday night pursuits!!! it was my favorite night of the week, outside of hunting season that is!!! lol
Great shot placement good hunt
Beautiful scenery and video. Congratulations on a great hunt and great shot. The 300 mag too small? Not if you hit them right. Look at all the hundreds if not thousands of bears taken with the 30-06 over the last hundred years. No matter what you are shooting, you still have to hit them right. A bad hit with a 375 is still a bad hit. I'm not advocating small calibers for bear, it is still a good idea to use the biggest rifle you can shoot accurately, confidently and consistently. Also use a proper load. But I believe you are still better off with a properly loaded 06 that you can shoot well, then a 338 mag you are afraid of.
I know. I love all these dumb asses over the years . You need a 375 H&H !!!! Oh really ? You're tell8mg me a damn 30-06 200 grain going 2800 fps isn't enough to punch through bear vitals ? Bs !!!!!
True but a 338 win mag is considered a stopping cartridge an 06 is not. Yes use the gun your most comfortable with but if a bear comes out of the bush 30 yards away and charges you. You have maybe 3 seconds to react and shot placement is not going to be an easy task then. That's when I'd rather have enough gun to at least stop that charge.
@@nayrapepenova9325 if you are shooting a 458 magnum and don't hit the bear right, you still will not stop the bear. The 338 win mag is not some miracle cartridge that will stop anything despite the hit you make. A bad hit is a bad hit no matter what cartridge you are shooting.
Interesting video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Keith do you still have that killer camo with the cowboy hat?
Yep. Still do and it's got some battle scars on it too.
Reminds me of the Mutual of Omaha brought to you by beautiful nature gorgeous animals look how beautiful they are now what would have made it fair is if the bear had three of his buddies up there and they would carry and high-powered rifles then it would be even Steven otherwise it was a no contest
Nice Keith you get younger all the time stay young.
Dang I don't remember seeing you without a baseball cap on lol
Very nice good vídeo like bro
One of my coworkers just shot a grizzly and he said it tasted pretty good of course he shot a inland grizzly
NICE.NICE shot..
300 mag is plenty for any brown bear
A 300WSM can do the same thing
Out of curiosity what bullet did you use?
it sounds like a gta V rebel radio show
Fun
❤
Excuse me sir where did you get that camouflage cowboy hat that is an amazing hat
The most important part of this video, harvesting a great bear should have been a couple more minutes longer, after the shot...Head size, paw size, etc...
keith warrens WILD AMERICA!!!
You was a lot younger than. Lol. Nice bear 🐻
Kind of rifle did you use there bud?? What caliber was your rifle chambered in and what was the muzzle break at the end of it
It’s a 300 win mag that’s one thing I know
It looks like the older Browning A Bolt, I couldn't get a great look at the muzzle break but it was probably the Browning BOSS (Ballistic Optimizing Shooting System). Depending on the year, I think Browning came out with it in 93/94, but don't quote me on that. It's kind of a muzzle break, it was designed so the shooter could "tune" the load to the rifle, but I've never heard much good about it other than recoil reduction.
Its a browning A-bolt 2 300 win mag with a BOSS on the end
The BOSS has worked on ever a bolt i have and even the BARS i have..browning is so advanced in everything they make
@@colbycole3971 i like the Browning rifles theyre accurate! So is my Browning X bolt 375H&H mag. Accurate enough to blow off a rabbits head using 270 grain soft point core lokt bullets. I did give the rabbit to an elder so it wasnt wasted!
Hello I am Pakistani for a good hunt in Pakistan
Plea.. come in Pakistan
Marco Polo ?????
What are you hunting over there refugees?
Keith Warren hunting...... to bad you weren't on Prince of Wales island otherwise I could have been your driver around the island...... 4th largest island in the world.....
There's people use little guns like 270s 300 Win Mag was Way Big
300 win mag isn’t way big for a grizzly
Yeah 300 win mag is not way big for grizzly 300 win mag isn't known as a stopping cartridge. I wouldn't rely on it to safely stop a charging grizzly 30 yards away from me. That's where I'd want a stopping cartridge like a 338 win mag or 375 h&h magnum to at minimum stop the charge
Biggest trophy?
How old is this video?
Naw had to be mid 90's because his gun is a browning abolt 2 with a boss..didnt come out with that gun till 93/94
Awesome throwback video!! Would be really cool to do a new version of this hunt!
We plan on doing this in the very near future by the way. Make sure and watch for it.
@@DeerFarmingChannel will be looking forward to it & more great Content
Bruh if this was made 2 days ago in 2020 why is the quality so bad
This is super american
Duh. I had to wait till the very very end to see 👀 the 🐻 bear shot. I just wanted to see the bear 🐻 shot 😮..

We love ya Keith! Please check out some of my wildlife footage and largemouth bass catches
15:45 Take him out!
what about a charging bear? I don't care how many hole the pelt end up with. I just want it down fast.
Second
My 338 lapua plenty of gun for anything on this contenet
Did you eat that there bear? I've heard that they are good eating.
I’ve read multiple accounts of inland bears that aren’t eating fish are edible, but not great. Yet the coastal bears taste and smell like rotten fish and have an unbelievable amount of parasites. Black Bear are the ones to eat, as long as they aren’t the Black Bears that eat a lot of Salmon.
CLICK BAIT!
Just another Brown Bear taken from an Alaskan Resident.
That's so dumb to recommend his clients to bring at least a 300 mag but he preferred a 375 when a 30 06 will do the same thing
id rather a 300weatherby in grizzly country than a 30 06
The 30/06 can take all of North Americas big game with the exception of one:
Polar bear
But the 300 Win mag's got a bit more steam to it.
@@kennethfarley8347 Because polar bears are magic, and big browns aren't?
@@johnthompson7234 because polar bears are bigger
Do Not bring a 300 win mag bear hunting id recommend a .308 or a .338
I know someone that says not to eat bear meat and he made these bodies. His name is God
🤦🏻♂️
Where he say dat?
Lol bear meat pretty good tho
Blood sports in the modern world is a waste of a life.
shut up old man
Thomas Edison I don’t think you know what “modern” means
Shame on you god is watching!!
And he clearly said "nice shot bro"
@@Paul-wq4qb Dang straight!
And God gave man dominion over all the animals of the earth. There’s nothing wrong with responsible and ethical hunting
This deserves 100000 dislikes... Killing bears for fun is just barbaric, it does not make you a real man, it makes you a coward...
For fun? They are hard to eat unless they are dead.
youlian troyanov I agree. These grizzly bears were endangered species once before, but they still need our help!
