    I did this song as a solo for a choir competition my senior year of high school!! It was really fun!! Hard, but Fun!

    Good version of this early Italian song. 'If you love and sigh for me alone, then you are so gullible, easily deceived... Just because I love the daffodil, doesn't mean I overlook the other (male) flowers...' (rough translation). Strange lady thoughts, coming from a much earlier historical era. She even feels sorry for this innocent, gullible shepherd in love with her, sighing for her alone. Very cruel lady, basically telling this poor gullible shepherd in love wiyj her that he stands no chance. In Italian culture flowers have a symbolic meaning and some masculine flowes eg daffodils etc. It's OK to give men glowers but just be sure to give c yhem masculine glowers, not insulting ones associated with female gender eg roses or violets. Some of these early Italian songs are strange in their themes.
