@CK Wraps, I must be one of the original wrappers as back in 1970 while being a mechanic at a new auto dealership I would install the fake wood siding on station wagons, around door locks, align the wood grain, going around wheel openings etc. I never thought about what I did until watching this video, so I was vinyl wrapping some 52 years ago and I'm 75 now still messing with hotrods and race cars. Keep up the good work, never retire, not healthy keep going. If you rest you rust. Wonder if I can still wrap something, hahaha probably (not).
Wow would love to see and hear some stories. Been in the business myself for 23yrs. now and finally own my own shop. Apparently you can't get this one either. I went to the website for FlexiShield and looked in the Cosmetic PPF wraps section, and no mention of a Galaxy Purple. Just a Plum Purple color called Perfect Plum, and 11 others. Sure they look good, but I really like the blue and purple in this wrap. Reminds me of the R34 Midnight Purple paint. Tesla has really boring paint colors, so a wrap is a great idea. This is quite a dramatic color. I admire this fellow's craftsmanship. He is quite talented at this. He makes it look easy, when it is not easy.
I saw something a lot like this on the road yesterday here in Orlando, except it was gold, then orange, then yellow, all depending on the angle of the light, and was also on a Model 3. Normally I'm not a big fan of flashy looks, but I thought that it looked great. This color would be a lot more my style though.
I am new to wrapping (total noob actually) this video makes it clear this is not something I can do myself and why it costs thousands of dollars to have it done professionally. I wish it wasn’t so expensive but this video helps me understand why.
I did my Wrangler by myself with Vivvid. It took me about 40 hours, messed up a few pieces and had to trash them, but overall it came out great and I even won first place in a 4x4 show that I entered. I spent $500 total for the film and the tools. If you have the time, just go for it.
