This will probably give some PPF installers a little anguish, but Mr. White, the Jedi master of detailing, was already taking vehicles to another level. NOW, he’s gonna add PPF and really play with our minds. The standard to which I measure all other detailers. Awesome content, especially for the OCD inclined, such as myself. 👍🏻
Mr. White is again taking car "Correction Reflection Protection" to the next level. Mr. White is the standard for detailers to be measured against. Outstanding work yet again!
Don’t care for Volvos, don’t care for that color, would never have thought that this car would be one of my favorite looking SUVs I ever seen recently.
To be honest, i prefer the oldschool intense detailing videos over the PPF ones, but he still does a remarkable job! And as a Fan of swedish cars, this one was a treat, keep up that amazing work!
It is pouring rain outside and watching an artist at work was a pleasant way to spend some time. The other day I removed the license plate from the car and washed that part of the RAV for the first time ever. That was because I watched your videos. Like Levi from TRC has said I have fallen down the rabbit hole into detail land. Thanks for the inspiration.
That is a delicious color….now it just needs a ceramic coat too! Speaking from experience, with that interior color, you definitely MUST have that ceramic on the leather! Nice work - you’re still my favorite UA-cam channel (not just favorite detailer!)❤
What an amazing job. You really are the best of the best. I can only aspire to be half of what you have attained. Will watch and learn from you as always. Perfection to the max. Will look and see your products list to get myself. Keep doing these are you are the master
Always a good day when new WD video drops! Very much enjoying the long format with insights, am sure it’s quite time consuming, hence the announced changes. Tune selection is perfect, are you using open source? Cheers!
What a beautiful car Jim. Love the Volvo, especially the color. Thanks so much for sharing the full car wash tape as well! Getting my car wash porn fix today for sure (here in Canada it is -34 Celsius outside right now!)
Nailed that Jim, lovely install. That bonnet pattern looked hard work though, you tried bulking a bonnet yet? Way quicker without any excess film left in the middle - they never fit
Make sure to tell the client to speak to his insurance company after PPF install as a lot now class this as a modification ( crazy I know ) I’m with Admiral and they class it as a decorative change even clear PPF so don’t give these insurance companies any chance of wriggling out of a claim. I didn’t get charged any more to my policy just a £9.50 admin charge to make the change via the app declared. Maybe something you might want to warn your clients of Jim as most people are blissfully unaware of this Modification.
Usual jaw-dropping work, but can’t help wondering if those flush edges that can’t be tucked out of sight will lift over time and dirt will collect under the film.
I'd get it if you don't want to answer this, but what would a service like this cost on big SUV in comparison with an estate car (Passat Variant for example). I always hear how expensive PPF is, but haven't seen any real reliable numbers yet.
@whitedetails Hi, at 10 minutes in your video you done PPF for door side walls(black part of the door). Which material did you use? Is it same or different from the material you used on the car?
Jim, two questions-what do you use to clean the door jambs? Same shampoo as contact wash, or APC? Question 2-why not remove the VOLVO letters on the rear hatch. How did you apply film over them?
many thanks - one is a slip solution, to allow the film to move freely and to prevent it from drying out and the other is an alcohol tack solution which promotes the adhesion
PPF is leaps and bounds beyond a coating. Sure, if your car sleeps outside 24/7, it'll EVENTUALLY lose clarity/yellow out a bit, which is more of an issue in very harsh environments like Puerto Rico or Australia, but the kind of people who pay for this service are mostly gonna have garage kept vehicles. Either way, PPF preserves the finish of cars like the best coating could never come close to. You could neglect your car, leave bird bombs baking on it without removing them in a timely manner, only wash it at the tunnel wash and track it, and it's not gonna matter because at the end of the day, if and when you remove it, the clear coat's condition will be just like the day you took it to get installed. Zero swirls, scratches or blemishes. Can't say the same for a coating. That's pretty much worst case scenario too as even if they don't have the best washing practices, they're likely not gonna neglect the car like in my example. Sure, PPF isn't magic, I've removed them from old Porsches that basically live in the track and that repeated and extended abuse is impossible to completely protect against, as doing high speeds at the track multiple times a week, year round, for years on end, you're gonna get some rocks that make it through the film, mostly concentrated in the bonnet & front clip area, but that's an edge case, to be expected. Both require maintenance to keep pristine, but PPF can take much more abuse and neglect and even if it eventually doesn't look like new, it'll be a lot later than the coating and the clear coat will still be pristine. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on coatings, both my cars are coated and they're AMAZING, still beading like crazy nearly 5 years after polish/application (though I'm OCD with my maintenance). It's a much easier process that's more accessible to more people, so that's what I install on people's cars, and I do love the fact that it allows for more flexibility where they can come back after something happened like overspray or some bodyshop work, or heck just terrible maintenance and I can just polish it again and reapply a coating. I love getting to polish it again and trying out different coatings. Damn, what a long rant lol. Oh well, passion is passion. XD
Hello I live in the US and have a 2022 Audi A5 Sport back with gray leather seats. I notice some blue jean transfer on my drivers seat. What do you recommend I use?
Reaction is backed by a 12 year manufacturer warranty against cracking, failure or distortion . The hydrophobic properties of Reaction should see 2-4 years
What squeegee do you recommend when doing these kind of installs? I've done some PPF (small quarter panel bits etc) on my own cars in the past. Usually order some pre-cut film from various companies. Looking into doing a full front-end myself this spring. Most professionals seem to be using some softer rubber/silicone squeegee? I have used quite hard plastic ones with some fabric/felt on them. And they are not very good.
I think the felt, material cards are used more for vinyl installs or decals. I use the pink set on from AliExpress! Reach out to Suntek, they have a bunch available on their shop
in this instance i didn't but have topped others with Modesta. Suntek Reaction PPF has a hydrophobic top coat as it is (as well as self-healing abilities)
haha, sorry ryan.. perhaps you'll enjoy this evenings upload, a 47 minute episode polishing a flat red Delta Integrale EVO I. Going forward, there may be a bit of both.. detailing & PPF. thanks

As a big Volvo fan and current Volvo owner, I really enjoyed this one! Gorgeous XC90!
Don’t care for Volvos, don’t care for that color, would never have thought that this car would be one of my favorite looking SUVs I ever seen recently.
@@japanwatchconnection I guess the same one who asked you for your comment. I was actually complementing this automobile.
Beautiful Volvo XC90 r-design.

Same…it’s turning into WhitePPF channel😞
@@noelwall3705 but to be fair, it’s his Channel, and he is promoting his new stuff, pretty logical.
plenty more detailing to follow guys :) the PPF is a welcomed change of pace. 14 years of polishing paintwork, it's nice to have a new challenge/focus

Very very impressed with how quickly you have taken your ppf installation to a high standard!
Jim you make this PPF look easy work to apply…..it just can’t be that simple!!!
Stunning work. Can't help but think if you got one of those wheel dollies for rotating the wheels while you coat them, it may save your back a little.
Amazing job Jim just fantastic to watch
Impressive job. When you say "full car PPF", you are not joking!
Holy smokes! Who does this to an XC 90? Amazing job as always Jim! The benchmark of detailing!
Quality as standard from White Details, this is a process always learning content, thx Jim.

Outstanding work mate. It came up awesome. Also side note loved hearing the BTG podcast during the vid.

Hi! May I know why you didn’t take off the Volvo badge? And how do you put back those badge in the correct place?
What plotter machine do you use for the cutting?
What i wonder is how do you do with the fluids. Where does the drain go?
Just amazing as usual! Another super job . I’d love to see it close up myself as you’re doing it! Love to know how you control it slipping around??
very very beautiful, are you doing this for classic car, Mercedes (W126)
Amazing job WD! Is there any program that you can find the parts dimensions? That print/cut seems that is doing half of your amazing work.
Volvo are great cars with nice look from outside..... 😍
One question do u not use heat gun for ppf. At all.
Apply masking on badging before debadge them
@whitedetails Hi, at 10 minutes in your video you done PPF for door side walls(black part of the door). Which material did you use? Is it same or different from the material you used on the car?
Excellent job. I wonder: What does it look like to install PPF on a bad day😂?
whats that you were spraying on the wheels please?
Hi Jim, What would it cost to have a W206 C Class estate PPF done?
Jim, two questions-what do you use to clean the door jambs? Same shampoo as contact wash, or APC? Question 2-why not remove the VOLVO letters on the rear hatch. How did you apply film over them?
How much does it cost a similar installation?
Hello
Which software are you using to PPF plastic cutting it?
Which model printer are you using to cut the films.
Good work, i wish to have lessons
What brand of PPF did you used for this car
nice job
Let's do the matt PPF next time!

Side mirrors ?
Bravo!
i replayed the same bit a few times, but could make it out, were the letters of volvo cut out of the ppf for the boot door?
Anybody know how much it will cost to full body wrap a 2019 BMW X3 m sport plus model???
What is that machine called that precuts your PPF?
Excellent work asual why do you use 2 bottles when doing the ppf film?
many thanks - one is a slip solution, to allow the film to move freely and to prevent it from drying out and the other is an alcohol tack solution which promotes the adhesion
You seem to have got the hang of that.
Ooooooooo nice job
What was that you were spraying on your rims??
superb
Fantastic job Jim👍👍👍👍🇬🇧
What cutting program do you use?
Hello how much this work? Thanks
What is the name of the machine?
Killer job ... I would rather stick to ceramic and keep the gloss but this isn't half bad...

about 5-10 years they last AGES

Thanks Liam - there were templates available for the XC90 B5 badges but the customer had requested we debadge the car for the cleaner look

did you put a coating over the PPF
