It's probably because it was/is a pretty shitty game. This coming from someone who actually enjoys most of the most hated games that AVGN goes after (I thought Castlevania 2 was the best of the 3 originals).

So to recap, the king was living happily on another planet without telling anyone and leaving his family worried and confused.
When Alex found out he dove at his father to hug him, then went back to tell his family that his father was alive and just chose to leave them behind. The family was 'overjoyed' about this.
Now the two planets are friends, despite everyone trying to kill Alex - even the dude with the hatchet.
I love Japan.
Excellent recap! Haha. Must be the worst ending I've ever seen now that I have a better grasp of english. I've beaten this game so many times, because somehow I loved the game back in the day, but i don't think I ever reflected over the ending. :D

Nicely played. This game was equally challenging as Miracle World. The clumsiness of the jumpkick: Jump, then release to kick, which had to hit just right to connect, made it tougher than it had to be. This game was still faithful to the original game's style.
Good ol' Paperrock. Wonderful place to visit: a lot of sightseeing, things to do, people and creatures to meet, and the very place to put your life at risk for someone else.

Great job playing this game. I tried to defeat the final boss at Rock Paper Scissors many times, but him cheating a forcing a 3rd match is where I got stuck. Tough game but pretty cool to see a true sequel to the classic Alex Kidd in Miracle World that is accurate to the original gameplay and style. Alex Kidd DX is a nice addition too.
Remember kids, unequip all powerups but the ones that help you read minds before the supposed bosses

I know that everybody living on planet Paperock is good at "Rock, Paper, Scissors!", but having to play a game based on LUCK to defeat the boss is bull****, in my opinion.

Eh, there is some appeal to that, its more of a chill game you play at thursday when you're bored, not really an epic tale but a relaxing one.
This game has his system, when the boss picks for example, rock he continues picking rock for 2 or 3 times before pick other.
Loved Alex kid games. Alex Kid in Miracle World was my favorite. Far better than Mario's games.
I watched my brother play this game when i was 2 years old, and it freaked me out. Weird sounds, Alexs weird ghost death, boss intro theme, gosh even now i cant see this game like a normal game xD

AVGN should make an episode about this game. The objective of the stages is to get to the end of it and they are too short, there's way too much money available in the game, you don't just buy the items you must also win a game of chance and the worst of all is that it feels like Alex is walking on a slippery floor all the time (in fact, this is the only hard thing in this game, but it doesn't seem fair at all). Because of this slippery movement Ihad trouble killing the enemies and avoiding them it's not fun at all, so I would usually hoard a lot of tiaras at stage 1 (it gives you a ranged attack). Only the last stage feels like a real platformer, if all other stages were like the last one the game would be significantly better.

I was playing Sega Classics version for this game (which I've played many times on the Mega Drive) on the XBox and noticed that where the red and blue blocks are surrounding the vulture that there are two vultures on the Sega Classics version but just one on the Mega Drive. No idea why they've added another bird for.

Dude, sorry to break it down to ya but the AtGames SEGA Genesis was and still is one of the worst consoles to play on.

El caso es que el SEGA génesis mini, incluye este juego y el sonido suena muy bien y normal y la de atgames el sonido es muy distorsionado

wow man! you are like the Mr Miyagi of Alex Kidd world, that was fast,,, "like a hot buttered knife through a baked potato on a vegatarian chicken style kiev dinner", personally I use lifesavers fruit tingles to keep me goin' through this game! "good lollies to munch on while playin' Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle", I am not that fast though, I should be eatin' more fruit tingles I think, I take my hat off to you Sir you were very fast, & very good at rock scissors paper too. once I master this awesome game I shall go on to play Kid Chameleon next thats not to bad either. long live to the fun games of my child hood, in old age they are still marvellous!

@@Kerannnng The arcade version of Lost Stars is really neat! Hi Tech World wasnt that bad, i Think its quite charming. Lost stars on the master system could have been a fun game, if i wasnt so damn easy. theres too many of these "sc" stars that keep filling up the energy bar all the time, thats the problem. I wish someone would hack it and raise the difficulty level.

when I play alex kidd I always think of the first bubsy game, well you will ask me why? obviously alex kidd and bubsy are 2 characters who die in one shot in their game and there is almost nothing that can protect them from damage, and then there are so many enemies in their games😂😂😂, but I love those 2 games🥰🥰🥰
