Ramen quick recipe. Add a small spoon of peanut butter and mix into the sauce/water with a couple drops of sesame oil and sliced green onion.
      It tastes like Thai noodles.
To solve your fire alarm problems get a high smoke point oil. Olive oil smokes at a low temp.
High temp oils are avocado oil (refined), almond oil, corn oil, canola oil (aka rapeseed oil in Europe) , grapeseed oil, peanut oil, safflower oil, sesame oil and sunflower oil.
They won't smoke up your apt like the olive oil will.
American cheese isn't exactly cheese. It's a processed cheese food.
It's a food product made from cheese and unfermented dairy ingredients mixed with emulsifiers.
It tastes like mild cheese but it's super melty. Thus the US's infatuation with grilled cheese sandwiches, hot cheese dips, and nachos.

Tips from a Mexican woman who loves to cook three times a day
When in doubt go with medium heat. Or even just quarter heat. You're better off cooking low and slow until you get used to cooking. When using lots of oil don't go above medium heat. Unless you are confident in the kitchen.
Change your oil depending on the purpose. For frying you can use vegetable oil, canola oil, grapeseed oil, or avocado oil. Olive oil is best for lower temperatures.

Late to the party, don't think anyone's said this yet: "sazon" is a pre-made spice blend associated with latino cuisine (I'm familiar with it in Puerto Rican cooking in particulary). It's a mix of coriander, cumin, achiote (aka annatto), garlic powder, oregano, salt & pepper. Hope that helps someone out!

I can understand tiktok's obsession with cheese!
Jarlsberg is a Norwegian style of Swiss cheese. The mozzarella would have more lactose than the Jarlsberg because as cheese ages the lactose is turned into lactic acid by the bacteria that help turn milk into cheese. So a young cheese like mozzarella is worse for lactose intolerance than cheeses like aged cheddar or Parmesan.

@@ingvildkjellstadli185 😄I find that mass-produced cheese has a tendency to be a bit meh. If you can get hold of some artisan Jarlsberg, it might convince you otherwise. I make my own, so it is probably not the same as the Norwegian stuff, but it is really nice (if I do say so myself).
American cheese does actually have cheese in it, but it is processed in such a way as to make it melt consistently and how good it is would depend on how good the cheese used to make it is.

Ellbat I think in the Ramen one, you need to maybe fry the noodles a sec, just enough to dry them. And add the season pack after draining the water to enhance the flavor. And then, don't use olive oil bc it burns at high heat. It needs to be a vegetable or canola oil bc they have a high heat resistance & won't burn. I've never made this, but I've seen the videos & I am someone who is obsessed with cooking/baking.

Uh okay low heat is always better. Or waiting for oil to warm in the pan before you put something in it. Since that's a gas stove I recomend not going over medium heat unless your trying to boil something like water. I don't remember the exact textures but you can get a heat thermometer and hang a sign for what's well and medium temp. There's also a way to use your hand to compare. You can also just cut open the burger to see how pink it is. You also know when to turn the burger over when the "blood" wells up at the top. Also low heat and longer cooking time usually means its cooked evenly all the way through (for most things, not just meat) rather than being burnt on the outside and raw or Luke warm or undercooked on the inside.
For deep frying...well the deep part is that they are submerged. And certain oils have a low burning point. For deep frying you usually need a high burn point because you are usually using a high temperature to fry them quickly. You might be using an oil that's only for low heat.

Just found your channel and am loving it 🤩 I‘m lactose intolerant, too. If you want to find a lactose free cheese (as stated before the old matured cheese types have less to none) just check the amount of sugar in the nutritional list thingy on the back (lactose is a type of sugar). 0.1% is considered lactose free 💛

Jarlsberg is from Norway 😄🧀 We are very proud of it 😄 5 seconds of fame in «The Devil Wears Prada» 🧀
Its a swiss type cheese, and its got almost no lactose in it (the lactose follows the whey in the cheese making prosess, leaving very very little in the cheese, making it a good choice for someone lactose intolerant) 😄
Swiss cheese typically will have 0-3.4% lactose in it.

The bacon cheeseburger crunchwrap supreme looks delicious. I'm writing this before I've seen you finish this recipe though. 😃 FYI American cheese is an actual cheese. It's great for melting, but beyond that it's uh...not much.
Edit: finished it. Good attempt, B for effort 😆 their sauce was likely burger sauce. It's usually ketchup/mayonnaise/mustard.

Seriously addicted to taquitos. I used to buy them at the 7-11 when I was like in college. My parents have a deep fryer that I'm allowed to carefully do deep fry experiments in.
I'm not big on buffalo sauce like I'd rather have honey garlic or tequila lime on wings.
I highly recommend cooking food longer and at lower temperatures if you're nervous of frying food. I'd also recommend a splatter screen as well. I've been always nervous to do so and I now make one pan meals/stirfrys.
Cheddar and Monterey Jack are some cheeses made in the US. Jarlsberg is from Norway originally but is also now made in Ireland and Ohio. So not really American but it is delicious. I eat it the majority of the time when I need a nice melty cheese. Cheddar melts way slower by comparison. My mom has a Cheese Certification (like a Sommelier but for cheese). She went to college for it 😄

Jarlsberg cheese has been my favourite since I was a small child. I am Australian, but it's famously Norwegian! To me though, it's Swiss in style. Definitely not an American style cheese, and not what I'd have chosen for your cheeseburger tortilla (I imagine it's supposed to be American cheddar/a mild cheddar). However Jarlsberg is so, so good on a toasted sandwich with tomato & HP sauce/ brown sauce. Actually, I just searched and learned that Jarlsberg is a mix between Gouda and Emmental (also known as Swiss cheese), there you have it.
By the way, that hamburger needed to be flattened down a little bit, and the second tortilla was supposed to be a bit smaller, as you said.

American cheese is that cheese you get where each piece is individually wrapped in plastic, and it melts at a very low temperature, they sell it at most supermarkets. It's literally called "American cheese" or "American style cheese"

Olive Oil has a high smoke point( i.e. it takes a while to smoke and burn) that is why a lot of chef's use it. It takes a very very long time for it to smoke. How long and how high was your heat that you set off the alarm? You are right that is a special skin.

the inner part of the crunch wrap burger was supposed to be the small corn tortilla... not another big flour one. lol. if you deep fry the corn tortilla, you get corn chips. so you actually didn't need the inner tortilla at all if you use chips directly.
