Shohie hit for a cycle in 2019 against Tampa Bay and came close again last week with a triple shy, and he also came close to a perfect game earlier this season against Houston going into the 7th inning, I think he'll get a no hitter soon cause the stuff he has is unhittable at times
There will never be a greater 2 day performance. You hit 2 home runs and 8 RBIs, go to bed, wake up the next day, come back to the ballpark and say, “Give me the ball,” take the mound and strike out 13. Absolutely legendary.
If his recent 10K 2 homer game plus the game before (1 for 3 with a homer and walk) or game after (3 for 5 with a triple) doesn't surpass it already. It at least showed that he does have the potential to have a better 2 day performance than the one he had in 2022 because in 2023 he has shown that he can bat just as well when he pitches.
Wow... Just wow. I'm a Mariners fan so I want to hate him (and Trout) but I'm also a baseball fan and I can't help but feel lucky to be alive for this moment in history. Generational talent doesn't do him justice. There never has been and probably never will be another player of this caliber.
As Shohei's fan, we felt so sorry that Ohtani's home run at the last game of last season stopped Mariners going into the Play-off. We would definitely pray for Ohtani to have home run at that last game because that would made him the 100th run and made the historical new 5 100s MLB record. However, I was hoping Mariners able to make it to Play-off even Ohtani got his HR. Unfortunately, Mariners lost the game as Shohei's HR was so destructive for the psychology of the Pitcher (And that Pitcher transferred to another team and took revenge on Ohtani this season and struck out Ohtani then and won the game). However, I assume Mariners would be able to go to Play-off of this season. Actually Shohei hang on a Mariners coach's back (l think he's the pitching coach) and stopped him from joining the big fight between Angels and Mariners that happened months ago. Shohei clammed him down and that's why this coach didn't need to be punished by joining the big fighting because Shohei held him out of the crowd. If not, it might affect Mariners' pitching soon after the big fight.
What he's doing. Pitching and hitting at elite levels. They should just hand him the MVP award every year. Shame he's on the Angels hoping him and Trout pull it out of the bag soon.
In 2016 in Japan he had 10 wins ERA 1.88 174SO BATTING AVERAGE .322 with 22HR! All at the age of 21.🤯 And he holds the record in Japan for the fastest pitch....102.5mph!!😯
I don't get it. They look at him pitching or hitting alone and don't realize he is still learning and getting better. He is above average at both. And then he has flashes of absolute brilliance.
The number of views proves Otani's influence. I think MLB players know his greatness best. Because it is a dimension that is possible or impossible. I'm sorry if the translation is wrong. 🙏
I'm 74 and have witnessed the good and great, and the bad and ugly. I feel so lucky to be around to see this.

Sounds like you have one standard for hitters, another standard for foreign 2way players
@@trevorcarey3997 what did Babe Ruth do so good in 1919? Shohei destroyed it in 2021.
@@RunForPeace-hk1cu his standard is if shohei keeps giving us signature performances that keep us excited about baseball he'll be the no doubt mvp again.
@@RunForPeace-hk1cu
MVP means "most valuable player".
you know?
Anyone who says Ohtani is overrated has never tried to hit AND pitch at a competitive level!
The odds of being a Top-10 hitter of baseballs on earth at any point in your life is about 0.00000001%.
The odds of being a Top-10 pitcher of baseballs on earth at any point in your life is about 0.0000001%.
The odds of being both at the same time? I would have said 0% period until this dude came along. Unreal.
This guy is gonna make some much history that Mlb can't even comprehend this man prob the best Mlb in history to be a pitcher and a DH for this guy is unreal
BEST HITTER : Shohei Ohtani
BEST PITCHER : Shohei Ohtani
I'll be honest, I know bugger all about baseball, but even I can understand that this bloke is something very, very special.
So Glad I was able to witness the 13K with the Champsbin the building
Shohie is an Angel Forever Go Halos
got to watch ohtani in person at camden yards a few days ago, and even though the angels got swept (let’s go O’s baby) and ohtani wasn’t at his best it still feels great to know that i got to see such a legend play in person
You would one day be proud about yourself in front of your grandchildren of being able to watch Shohei's game in stadium 🏟️! In fact, many of us are envying you able to watch Shohei THE REAL PERSON! To us, Shohei is like a real unicorn 🦄 in reality because we are in the opposite of the globe 🌍🌎 from where Shohei plays!
@@slleung8979 he has a long career ahead of him. i’m sure you’ll get a chance one day
He is crazy ! And I’m crazy for him ,too.
I wouldn't be surprised if he threw a complete game shutout while hitting for the cycle. Well, I would be surprised, but not that surprised.
Shohie hit for a cycle in 2019 against Tampa Bay and came close again last week with a triple shy, and he also came close to a perfect game earlier this season against Houston going into the 7th inning, I think he'll get a no hitter soon cause the stuff he has is unhittable at times
asian cant do that you fool
I’m surprised he hasn’t yet.
I would not be surprised if he
have 4way job, pitcher batter
manager and US president.
There will never be a greater 2 day performance. You hit 2 home runs and 8 RBIs, go to bed, wake up the next day, come back to the ballpark and say, “Give me the ball,” take the mound and strike out 13. Absolutely legendary.
He might have topped it recently, at least single game performanxe. 2HRs and a walk from 3 at bat, 1 ER from 6 innings pitched and 10 strikeouts.
One thing I learn with Ohtani is that just enjoy and don't limit your imagination.
@@saetharion He might have topped it again in a DH against the tigers lol
Wow...
Can’t believe he did this back to back lol
What he's doing. Pitching and hitting at elite levels. They should just hand him the MVP award every year. Shame he's on the Angels hoping him and Trout pull it out of the bag soon.
He has to be an awesome person to see pitching and batting god bless’em may he stay healthy a long time.
In 2016 in Japan he had 10 wins ERA 1.88 174SO BATTING AVERAGE .322 with 22HR! All at the age of 21.🤯 And he holds the record in Japan for the fastest pitch....102.5mph!!😯
Shohei Ohtani is one of the only reasons I'm even staying interested in baseball at all.
I, too, find this is my reason for staying interested in baseball...Shohei Ohtani!!!
good nite, 60 years watching this game and never seen anything like this
That is the most insane stat line in baseball history.
I've just watched again this highlights.... MVP too cool
Crazy athlete, just staying healthy for the whole season. EVEN CRAZIER doing at this level. I can say he's the reason I watch MLB highlights.
MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP
And yet people still find ways to say he's overrated. Truly a generational talent
I don't get it. They look at him pitching or hitting alone and don't realize he is still learning and getting better. He is above average at both. And then he has flashes of absolute brilliance.
because they are .... 🤭
People will hate you if you're that good. Just the way it goes unfortunately. He's the MVP btw
The number of views proves Otani's influence. I think MLB players know his greatness best.
Because it is a dimension that is possible or impossible.
I'm sorry if the translation is wrong. 🙏
Definitely not overrated. A great player.
His second 3-run HR was SO EPIC! I love how he stands there and watches it go!
2:58 the dude punching his friend has all the right energy. 😂🔥
Hahaha how did you notice that?
omg that's hilarious
hahahahahaha i hope thats his homie. no girlfriend wants that really hahah

Whaaa… because of Ohtani I’m addicted to watch MLB now.. specially Angel’s Ohtani ❤❤❤
Hands down the best player in baseball right now! And it’s not even close
He sure does love baseball. What a player
Ohtani is THE Best player on the planet, in human history
People will be talking about this guy like they talk about babe ruth 100 years later. Get ur tickets and watch this once and a lifetime talent.
