  • This video didn’t go as planned, but hey, #momlife, am I right? It’s so hard to balance everything we want to do when there are so many things we HAVE to do, and so little time for it all. I hope this serves as your reminder that your needs matter, too.

I feel so much of this video…I’m currently going through this. I’m currently working a part time job along with going to school. I have 6 kiddos. Everything falls on me.While “husband” is working, I feel like where is “MY TIME?” I feel I need to work and do school around his schedule which is not working for me. When he’s home it’s as if he’s not there..Meaning my kids as well want me to do everything, want to show me everything and completely forget they have a father… When I think about it after the fact, I think I am who my kids feel most comfortable with to be able to want to share everything and anything with. I feel like the load is sooo heavy but then I feel guilt for trying to take a few hours for myself. There’s no balance at all… I’m so glad you made this video becuase I am going through it… The resentment is real… I absolutely love my kiddos, I just wish there was balance between the husband and wife role I guess you can say.!!!

I really appreciate your honesty! I definitely understand all the stress. And it’s so amazing on top of taking care of your family, you also run your business and UA-cam channel. You are a super hero Amber!! And definitely a great role model.

Thank you for being so vulnerable and real about motherhood. I literally was just feeling this now and feeling overwhelmed. I needed to hear this today. I appreciate your channel and I look forward to watching more of your channel! Thanks for being real. ❤

Thank you. Sometimes it just sucks. I hate that feeling of wanting to be present for my daughter, but feeling so overwhelmed with all there is to get done.
Side question- could Roman take a bus? Our car line is not 45 minutes, but on the one day when I can get Zelda at school, it is nicer to have her take the bus which gives my 40 extra minutes at home.

I can relate so much to being the “always on” parent and feeling guilty when resentment comes up. My husband and I both work, but I have always felt like my job as a teacher isn’t as “real” of a job as my husband who is a computer programmer (and makes nearly double what I make). I appreciate your realness. I’m curious about how your faith ties in with your beliefs about all of this. Personally, I have been struggling with the Proverbs 31 woman ideal in this economy/the state of the world in general. Because I would love to be able to devote my whole attention to my kiddos, but I also have to work because we need the income and insurance my job provides. I know you are obviously super busy, so no pressure to respond! I appreciate your content so much. I hope you enjoyed your chips and salsa verde. 😋
