You have to understand that motherhood isn’t easy and you will have to pray nonstop. I’m a mom of two and pregnant with 3rd baby . And I struggle as well but I always remind myself to always come to the lord and my kids know that mom needs time with God . And pray for them and ask God for patience and guidance on raising them in his ways . And there will be times when my kids will fight for anything and it gets tiring and stressful and overwhelming.

I can ABSOLUTELY relate to this! I have always kept my kids close. My oldest has only slept away a few times and my little has never been away from me over night. I get anxiety when they are away from me outside of school and normal activities. And my husband and I rarely travel without the little one.

It feels good to hear that other people are like this. I know the term helicopter parent is meant to be used toward parents who hover too much, who refuse to let their kids have any space or independence. But it seems like now people call you a helicopter parents just for being watchful over them.

You are doing a great job. I was a helicopter parent with my older girls. With my son I’m more hands off. I agree with you motherhood is hard. I’m basically doing it all over again. I have a daughters who are 26, 24, and 22. I also have a five year old son, 3 yr old granddaughter and almost 11 month old grandson. I have my son and two grandchildren 6 days a week. (My son always) it’s not easy and it’s not fun and I’m not enjoying it every second of every day. I know this is just for this season but it’s struggle.

Still a helicopter parent but I’m ok with that. Taken me a while to be comfortable admitting and being accepting of who i am and knowing there is not one good way of parenting. I have 7 yr old twins and a 2 yr old. My twins are on the spectrum, my son diagnosed autistic and every day is hard whether we are in school or at home it feels like forever is going to be difficult with special needs. Not sure any age range gets easier for us. But I think I am finally in acceptance of that which puts me more at peace too.

Remember that with God in your marriage you will stay together. Will your marriage be tested yes and that’s were you both have to build your foundation together with the lord Jesus Christ. So that when the storms come you both will stand together.
