@@halohalo576 If white people were to tell black people how to feel about race, black people will argue or fight back while Asian people will just stay quiet and continue on with whatever they are doing. The stereotype is black people will become "uppity" and talk back while Asian people will be submissive and stay in their lane like the model minority they are.

The executives are telling the person who is a racial minority what is or isn't racist or how to feel about race. So when Asian Americans are arguing that there is a sharp rise in anti-Asian violence across the country and white people are disputing them with the argument that violence against everyone across the board is going up, that is an example of white people telling Asian Americans how to feel about race.

Kyerin Bennett even back in the day, 20+ years ago Margaret included her parents, esp., mom, in her jokes.. and had us in *tears,* we were laughing so hard..did you ever see her sketch about how shocked her mother was about porn magazines? she imitated her *only* as one's kid can (and only a person's *own* kid should, of course.) ..but then as soon as her mom realized they could make even *more* coins selling the mags in their little San Francisco bodega, she was *all in!!!,* hahaha!! if you haven't seen it yet, it's worth finding and surely a clip has been uploaded already by this time.

She doesnt shock me so much . She has some good stories though. Comedy has gotten so raunchy in the US that it takes quite a bit . There is such competition that the outrageous sort of eveloves like sports increases in difficulty over time. Andrew Dice Clay was far more offensive because he didnt even seem like a good percent under the jokes. Just shock. Shock comedy. He was the famous one when i was small, the one whose name we knew but whose jokes werent ever aired publically

I remember my mom spoke about her show when I was a kid. All I remember is that she said it was horrible that Margaret almost killed herself by not eating because the network made her feel fat and said she needed to lose weight to get a show.

I never really got into Miss Cho's comedy when I was younger. This set puts her at legend status in my book. She's a consummate professional with her delivery, her material is good and she pushes the edge fearlessly. One of my favorite comics as of seeing this!

A long time ago, I was at some gathering in San Diego once, and I ~think~ I met Margaret Cho. When she came in she yelled in greeting to one of her friends, threw her (own) shirt across the room and embraced them, it was pretty funny.
Later we were chatting and sharing a bottle of some kind of spirit. I don't really remember what it was about, nor am I sure how we came to be chatting (I think partly because I was the only Australian in a room full of Americans). Anyway, I remember coming away from the conversation thinking she was pretty cool.
The reason I say I ~think~ it was her was because I don't know 100% for sure, but for some reason I always think of her when I recall the incident because I know it was a comedian(and no, it isn't because she's the only Asian American comedian I knew about).
I know it's kind of a lame story but it's the only celebrity story I have.
