Admiral Kirk gathers Spock and McCoy in his quarters, not a briefing room. The computer graphics for that time period were cutting edge! Ricardo Montalban was amazing as Khan! Nicolas Meyer made a grand film with a lower budget compared to its predecessor. Khaaaaaaan! Absolute awesomeness! The Mutura Nebula was a great game of cat and mouse, Khan vs Kirk. Kirk's experience wins out over the "superior excellence." Spock's sacrifice was the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one. It was actually Dr. McCoy who told Jim you better get down here, better hurry. The best of the Star Trek films. Good video!
@@7bestthings You are welcome. Good stuff. Nicholas Meyer also did a grand job on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country bringing back the glory that was lost with Star Trek V.
@@7bestthings Hard to choose just one! Either when Kirk tells Khan, "Here it comes," or maybe when the Enterprise comes up behind Reliant in the Mutara Nebula.
Honorable Mention Suggestion: Chekov enters Enterprise Bridge after recovering from the Ceti Eel and Kirk gives him tactical. The satisfaction Chekov must have felt at getting to fire that torpedo, at what had been his first assignment as First Officer....in a way, Khan took from Chekov (who did not appear in Space Seed, we presume he was in Engineering and escaped, making him worthy of remembering) everything he had worked so hard for, everything he had in life. Served Cold.
Spock making the calculation that he'll die then leaving his chair anyway to that music....is the greatest moment in science fiction history.
That's an amazing moment! Thanks Robert!

All excellent points! It is amazing that this had a lower budget than the first Star Trek, full of so many great moments. Thank you Lord Vader!

One of my faves, to be sure, and one of the greatest sci-fi flicks to date. Thanks for the great list--I agree wholeheartedly!
Thanks ZX! Do you have a favorite moment from Star Trek II?

@@zqxzqxzqx1 Great choices! Thanks!
I love this. Fave movie. Fave soundtrack. My fave starts at Kirk saying “ z minus 10000…stand by photon torpedos”. 🖖
Thanks Andi! Yes that's a great moment! I agree, the James Horner soundtrack for this movie is phenomenal, one of the best soundtracks ever!

Excellent point, I had not thought of it from Chekov's point of view. Thanks, Jim Johnston, for the insight!

Yes, such a sad loss.
Possibly Shatner's best acting was during Spock's funeral, "... the most ... human."
Yes, Shatner delivers that line in a powerful and emotional way. He does such a great job throughout this movie.
@@7bestthings likely his best work ever
@@russchadwell That's very possible! He has so many iconic lines and moments throughout this movie.
McCoy said that not Scotty
I will have to go back and rewatch that. Thanks for watching David!
It was industrial light and magic not Pixar
Not a bad video, but you wrung out every drop of sentimental hogwash towards the end of the presentation.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback, Peace Commando
