It’s been 7 years since my dad took his own life and I remember when I was just 10 years old just before he made that decision he wrote down on a piece of paper “be impeccable with your word don’t make assumptions don’t take anything personally and always do your best” and I never really understood where he got that from and now I do thank you

I’ve met Don Miguel. Many years ago. He was quite possibly the most gentle soul I’ve ever met. The Four Agreements has been part of my repertoire for close to twenty years. It’s a great foundational piece and something that I’ve used for many years.
The Four Agreements is a spiritual classic and is well worth the time to read, study and do your best to apply. I was fortunate enough to attend a lecture with Don Miguel Ruiz and sons and they are the real deal, true spiritual warriors with open loving nd courageous hearts. Your son will be blessed to have both his parents living and teaching such wisdom.
Everything I watch one of Shawn's vids I am thrust back to a time far before everything went woke, and puss-e-fide, and I am grateful for that. It is refreshing to the hard truth in the way he speaks. This is what the world needs to get back to.

But it's anything but easy to live up to. All we can do is to continue to strive and constantly do our best. Im right there with you i dont even watch the news anymore cuz you cant believe any thing they tell you. I have a 4yo right now and he is exactly like the book says they are free spirited no care in the world and always happy its the best thing ever wish he would stay like that for ever no matter what anyone said but im interested in reading the book you recommended and im also not a reader.
Another fun video guys..I think the best thing a parent can do is let their kid have fun and be a kid, guide them in their strong suits, talk to them/be involved, let them know certain things like BJJ is for your personal defense and the world can be crazy. After school activities like softball, debate team etc are a good way to stay out of trouble. I did plenty of after school activities while my dad was in the Navy and spent a lot of time in the gym, shooting pool & bowling. But ultimately parents do their best and just want better for their kids and of you can read some books to make sense of things then why not. My biggest fear is when my daughter starts to date cuz I know how guys are. I'll be kitted out while questioning him, little intimidation never hurt anyone. Party on!
