Looks like someone knocked the arches up to give wheel clearance, helps create a lip for the mud to lay in. Not sure of your experiences but what I did was hit the paint with nasty grain sandpaper before the stripper. Gets in a lot better. I've done lots of the rust repair on these utes if you need any help mate. Message me any time. Poyda.

What paint stripper brand you using? I looked at bunnings products and reviewers weren't very good for their stuff.
hi there mate, i used Septone 4ltr from supercheap $90, almost did the entire ute. Works like a treat but toxic
