I got my class A license at 18 I am now 19 and still can't get a job due to insurance reasons, I figured you have to know people in the industry to let you have a chance anyways your videos are fun to watch can't wait to be a concrete driver myself🔥Keep up the good work.🎉
I got my class A at 19 and got hired at the same age and I do ice delivery in a semi truck with a 28 foot or 36 foot trailer, sometimes I pull a 48 foot too. I never knew anyone in the industry before getting hired and I'm 21 now still driving. You just gotta keep looking for different positions and be open to class B jobs too.
i was in the same situation. Got my CDL A at 19 in 2022 and found a sketchy job hauling 53s, left after awhile because they were very unorganized and were pushing me to run out of state loads. (always say no to anything putting your CDL at risk!!!!!) Took about 8 months to find a new job that had an insurance that would accept me, and ive been there since august of 2023. I run a class b tanker/pump truck and do grease traps and septic tanks, 25/h, OT, and paid holidays, vacation, PTO. Don't worry bro keep looking, keep sending in resumes to everyone (ive probably sent in around 200. You'll find a good job eventually, don't give up. 💪 💪
happy birthday pisces ♓🎂 good to see you back missed your videos mine was march 6th and you have such pretty nails keep up the great work and i guess 70 yards
Ive been driving 26 & 28 ft box trucks for 3 years now and going to get my cdl very soon, I was just curious if my current employment is considered as commercial driving experience when applying to cdl jobs??
My wife and I spent a month in Queretero Mx. We rented an apartment. I loved it there and wanted to retire there! My wife did not, So we retired to Tennessee! I do miss the culture and the food.
Hey Lexie, I am a concrete field testing technician, I run a series of tests on freshly mixed concrete such as Air Content, Slump and I cast cylinders to do strength tests on them in our lab, do you run into techs in the field quite a bit?
Hi I wanna get into your job position next! is it worth it? I’ve held myself back from getting my certifications because I’m not sure, I never really techs on site unless it’s a big commercial job, pls tell me more about your job though😭🙏
@@lexflowaz Your concrete company might send you to school to get your certification, I have mine through the American Concrete Institute, I went to a testing facility in Dallas that hold these classes for ACI, and that's where I did my strength technician certification too, that's where in the lab we have a compression machine that crush's them and we are looking for them to break at a certain spec at so many days, like for instance some are 4000 psi at 28 days they sit in our moist tank until testing, look in your area for Engineering Companies, I work for WSB, We do construction material testing, and they pay for all the certifications I have like 6 right now, it's worth it, and if you open that door and get it, engineering companies will hire you for sure and it will open a door for tons of other certifications in the testing field.
@@lexflowaz So depending on what kind of situation it is you will get a sample of concrete, could be from a revolving mixer, continuous mixer, there are different ways to get your sample, once you get it you will transport it in your wheelbarrow to where your testing and you will get the temperature, run the slump, air and once the tests are done you will make your cylinders and they will field cured for 24 hours until they are taken back to the lab and put into the moist tank, its an interesting field of work for sure.
@@TorchOfTruth903 do you work for a company? Or are you independent? If I went that route I’d wanna get that cert, as well as my certifications to inspect epoxy, masonry, rebar, weldings, etc.. but I’m not sure if I’m 100% convinced to go that route or completely do a 360 and get into nursing
@@lexflowaz I work for WSB its an engineering company I am in the construction material testing area, but they do all sorts of stuff all of the guys at my lab are retired from Tx Dot, so its kind of like working for the state but I'm in the private sector, we do more than just road work, we are in anything that has to do with infrastructure, I worked construction my whole life pretty much, doing concrete, carpentry mostly as a labor so when I see those men dragging that concrete by hand I have been there, I got blessed with this job, the man I was working with had a construction company and he worked at Tx Dot in their lab for many years, he was the lab manager, and while we were helping set this lab up they hired both of us, and that's how I got into this field, you got a good thing going with your family that's awesome I wouldn't easily drop that.... you could try this out and see if you like it, it would be a great addition to your field of concrete work.
Yo!!! I love the old Western song you added to your video, while you were driving up the hill., had a good laugh and thought it was awesome. Next time you should look for a song that had a whiplash sound to it.
You're a safe driver and that's what I like about you the most, but then I'm in love with your movie star looks😊so I'm not sure which I like the most, both I guess. Stay safe and thanks for sharing. Happy B-Day.
Soo my prediction if that's all your truck got lol is if it's 6 inch I would say 135-150 yards if it's 8 inch thick then 185-200 yards of pour that is a lot of concrete
My respect as a 35yr old been in bussiness with my dad and been driving 15 yrs nice to a gorgeous girl doing the job perfect because here in CA is a pain to drive
I’ll be so happy when my trainer is out the damn truck omfg😩 he’s stressing me out making me make the wrong calls, just when I’m about to set up right he comes outta nowhere “STOP STOP!!🤬” ….like damn I got a Class A & he has a B I can parallel park a semi with a trailer & more but he’s old so he’s treating me like a little kid and it’s so irritating dealing with his attitude omfg. April 1st I should be on my own & I can relax. He even wants me to wash out in a certain way, I get it cleaned out good & fast but then he snatches the hose away & says I’m missing spots then when we were getting off early he said “it’s a pretty day so let’s wash the truck” 🤨😦 ON A MONDAY, if it was Friday sure idc but beginning of week is wild when we rarely get off early🙃. He has no wife, no kids, no girlfriend, NADA…so for him work is his life so he sees no need to go home🤦🏽♂️ he’s draining life from me making me doubt my skills barking at me like he’s my grandpa. I nearly quit last week it was so stressful bcuz of him.
@@Roger_Rabbit_Adventures they actually already know how he is but they’re not doing anything about it that’s what’s crazy. Guess cuz he has 22 months left till retirement they’re holding onto him🤦🏽♂️ they’re not gonna wanna listen to a rookie tell them about a guy who’s whole life is work.
Word of caution, I’m sure you probably already know the aches and pains of driving and sitting down for prolonged periods, I recommend the atg squat channel, lots of movements to help you keep your knees and lower back healthy 💪🏼
Happy belated Birthday Lexie! I hope it was everything you wanted it to be. I'm going to guess, 36 yards? And you can put the $20, towards your next set of nails. lol! You liked the houses, I like those weird trees. They look a bit like Octopuses standing on their heads. lol!
Dang it is cool to see how you and your siblings work together to get stuff done! Positive family bonds are good to see.
Love your attention to detail.
Keep that truck reflecting the pride you have in the equipment.
Never give the boss an excuse.
123 yards.. 😊
75 yards. Also, I recommend investing in and wearing safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Even if it’s ear plugs.
Love your videos because they're honest but that smile is so freaking gorgeous 😍
People Often Over Calc 5 yards is alot to return with, Out of 9 yards ordered !~!~ Great Video Lexie !~!~
That's where a Continuous Mixer really shine's.
My respect for this young girl ❤️
Thanks for sharing, Really love your videos 👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💪💪
Is safe to say that we the concrete people are the most protective and respectful with our truck driver woman!

25 yards a concrete that one spot depends how to pick they pour it
I think the barrel was a sauna.
750 Yards. I would avoid the fake nails if you can, keep them natural just for safety reasons. I’m sure that you have nice natural nails anyways.
