It's nice how you treat Junior and give him some tasks he can manage and be a part of the team. Many people aren't afforded those opportunities, let alone treated right when they are.
what do you mean? Jr. is the boss
Does anyone else find such a normal day so engaging? A bonded team with good humour makes all the difference in a day. A good attitude gives more reason to those early starts.
I appreciate professionalism... love watching these professionals work. Good job, and yes, film everything! ...
Believe me, when you don’t do the early start you have sweaty, hungry dudes that want to be done at 3 when they’ve only been there since 8. That 5 am “be at the job site” was huge for us in Dallas
love the way that guy approached about the mailbox. you can tell he already knew it was broken and was looking for someone to pay for it.

So how much is a new mailbox cost not that much bad that owners are so cheap and blamed on people to buy a new one shameful
he got that angry about a mail box.
I think he just noticed and seeing the trucks at the moment made him think the trucks had to do with it
I wish all bosses were like you. Bosses that actually care about their employees/coworkers...nice job Ryan!
It says a lot about the boss that he'd hire the heavy guy. He knows the guy's putput will be substantially lower than the others, but he's willing to find stuff the guy can do.

@@shivasirons6159 I can see why. The reaming that you get when you mess up with things like that isn’t worth it. Especially when you need to bust up a wall or some concrete to completely redo it. A mess up here and there shouldn’t get the bosses so mad though 🤣

That dude was explaining the mailbox incident like he lost his entire life savings. If that's the toughest thing he's had to deal with I would say he's got an easy life.
I was thinking about the same thing.
A treated 4x4 is like $20, give or take (been a while since I've had to buy any lumber), and the length bought is likely cut in half for use as a mailbox, so ya get 2 for dang cheap.
Where I'm at, they're set in concrete though, below the freeze line, but still. An easy DiY weekend project to replace with the accomplishment of getting things done for the household. Not to mention hero points with the wife.
@@goodisnipr The base look rotted to me but that could be the norm for the age of the mailbox. Ii agree with you, it's just a piece of wood. Replace it and move on.
Yeah the dude obviously kicked it over himself at like 3 in the morning. If the bys didn't have cameras, they wouldn't have had much of a defense and "Ehh, a hundred bucks should cover it"
@@goodisnipr idk man, seems pretty reasonable to ask. 20 dollars is 20 dollars and I’d be annoyed if I had to deal with it. Unless I missed another part of the video, dude seemed fine to me. I actually have an example, happened a few months ago.
I was turning right at an intersection, I had the green. Dude ran a red, T-boned me.
I own the car, no liens, we pulled over.
I looked at my two driver side crumpled doors, no broken glass, his tie rod broke and let go, so he had to get his towed.
I was able to drive off.
We agreed that we'd recover and tell the other the cost of recovery, then settle. He said he knows guys that own a body shop.
I do all my own work, short of change tires from rims anymore because using a sledge hammer and 4-ft long pry bars to do it gets rough on the lower back.
I went to Kenny U-Pull and bought all 4 doors for $350 from the junkyard.
My car had manual windows, manual mirrors that would frost and freeze in winter, in 2020. But now has electric windows and electric heated mirrors. For less than $500.
I'm happy. I didn't even accept any amount he was offering because I felt bad for him needing to pay a tow truck.
Just who I am.
the mailbox falling is hilarious when they were talking
Ok so this is the first time i have seen your videos, you are a good boss, and you have a good team, good to see that you joke with the team, love it, the only reason i watch is because that guy thought you did his mail box in, love that you film, i wish when i was young i did a job like this or building house’s, as a little girl i would go to work with my dad, he was in the army when he was young and he would drive road trains , he worked in minds and he was a brickie, so many different jobs, he was a engineer , and i was a daddy,s girl, i will fix anything around the house, so seeing your video brought back good memories for me so thanks so much, back in my day girls did not do jobs like that, maybe you can find a girl to work for you, that would be cool

"I'm glad I video everything!" That statement is so true Ryan! It's like an extra insurance policy for your company and an easy way to avoid lenghty discussions about damages, etc. I'm a big believer in gopros, dashcams and security cameras. I have recorded certain situations, that if they weren't on video, nobody would have believed me. I really think that in the future everybody will walk around with a bodycam or video glasses / spectacles in some form or another. Not that I particularly like that idea, but it might become necessary. As things will get crazier out there.

Stuff like this has happened for forever. I don't blame him for thinking it was the guys with the big trucks since it happens to be another event out of the ordinary that lines up with the incident. I can't blame the neighbor for putting 2 and 2 together. It does seem coincidental, but glad that both sides actually handled it well instead of shouting or getting overly emotional. It's hard when you see something like big trucks doing work to not think that damage didn't happen. I will say the bottom of that mailbox post where it split, does appear to have quite a bit of water damage already, so it's possible that it keeled over. What was interesting is how the neighbor placed the posted right back on top of the split post, as if that was something he had almost done before. And there you go, two things seem to match up so it appears they lead to a conclusion... but who really knows :)
I have to say as someone who is 5'8 it was interesting to see what a day in the life of a tall person looks like.
Prayer to that construction man and family. Stay focused and check your surrounding area for safety and most importantly NO GOOFING AROUND
Shuddup...
Just found your channel and love it!! You all work so well together and brought smiles and a few laughs to my morning. Great job, I had no idea how much work and effort goes into doing these kinds of jobs, your video really was an eye opener. New subscriber here.

much love from chicagoland!
I have enjoyed watching my dad and older brother pour concrete jobs over the years. I came across your videos and I really enjoy the relationship that you have with your employee's. I also like to watch your prep work, with the eye for details and professionalism.
Your work looks amazing ! Great crew !
With the addition of Mike, come back of Marcell, and Eric and Francisco improving daily along with Bugs returning... You have a pretty solid crew right now. Definitely stronger than last year. As long as everyone shows up! :D God bless Victory!
I just found your channel and you guys look to do GREAT work. Also your crew seems like one big family. Neat to see a hard working boss and crew that enjoy being around each other. Keep up the good work!
Thank you
I couldn’t agree more bout Daryl jr! If any of the other guys were to sleep like that they would be fired. He needs to learn you can sleep at work ever! I love jr an he really can lift a crew with his smile an happiness but NO SLEEPING!!!
This man understands boss/employee relationship
I like how you give Jr work and make him part of the team, great camaraderie
Congrats on 22 years ! Just had my 8th 👍. Love this channel and your dedication and enthusiasm . Got a good crew 👍💪
Nothing beats a good crew that can laugh, argue, talk smack, and work well together.
Oh man. I'm always fascinated by the skill of those using these machines.
