0:38 We all gotta have to admit it that,That Intro gave us all chills....
Epic🌎🌎
William Peng Yes bro...it's epic =)
Absolutely man!
it actually did
Shaye Powell #BulletClub4LIfe
Imagine how you would feel looking up and seeing the word UNIVERSAL in huge letters above your house..
What if they just lost orbit for no reason and like a huge U crashed down in Area 51 or a 1, 0, and 0 were all found in Mexico?
That'd be freaking scary
+DoubleBrick Gaming Productions i would just go what the actual f**k and call my friends and say "DO YOU SEE THAT?!"
+DoubleBrick Gaming Productions
"Goodammit Laura!, Universal again it's getting their logo through space they just ruined our BBQ!"
+DoubleBrick Gaming Productions If it was accompanied by the music, I'd be cool with it.
Next Level:
Real Earth
Real Letters
Who’s gonna hold up the wires? Aliens? 😂
Sotiris Kafaridis p
The 2013- one is have a Real Earth & Edited with real Letters!
Taydra Brookshire Yes.
They should do a movie about that
Some people surely could pay for that
I remember when I saw the 100th Anniversary one when I saw "The Lorax" back in 2012, and was blown away. I did NOT expect that. In fact, the entire crowd was too.
Ryan Blanche me too. Yep yep yep!
The lorax debuted the logo
Did Lorax show this version or short 100 anniversary
I knew beforehand, they uploaded the logo online weeks before The Lorax went wide. For Paramount's 100th anniversary, I didn't expect that logo to show up a month early for Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol.
9 yr old me thought the new logo was so mindblowing that there was *no way* they'd show it at the start of every movie from then on, and they'd go back to the old one after the anniversary
nowadays it seems so normal
Before the Logo even introduced itself, you could see all those old Logos, the Legacy of Universal Studios, showcasing it's many appearances throughout the 20th Century into the 21st.... All those dazzling designs and Iconic Letters, some circulating the Globe, others standing out in their Bold Styles, just beautiful... The Music just gives that feeling of Melancholy... As these title sequences tell us we are leaving them behind, we are moving on... Indeed we did move on, to something Beautifully Grand, this Logo we use today shows us of our true capabilities of what we can create, and those Logos of the past are there for us to remember, for centuries on and on...
Omg. The music choice before the logo at the end was excellent! RIP James Horner.
the new Universal intros is arguably the best movie company intro if all time
Not arguably. it IS
If?
The 1990-1992 is the best
columbia
I think I prefer the current MGM Logo. The simplicity is quite nice.
I remember when I saw this logo as a kid when I went to see The Lorax, I was blown away by how amazing this logo is with it's epic older logo montage and the amazing new logo
Did you feel emotional
Hands down, the current Universal Studios logo & theme, the 100th Anniversary one, is THE best studio opener. EVER
iGuysCOMEDY
I agree. They have a long running movie company and i hope they continue running it
no tcf is the best
@@daRealB-Rex disagree
SCG Productions star wars tcf theme is the best
TCF was ruined by The Walt Disney Company’s decision to change the name from 20th Century Fox to 20th Century Studios, and Fox Searchlight Pictures to Searchlight Pictures
They still produce great movies, though.
When I saw the new one when I saw Jurassic World I was like "Wow this is epic".
I first saw that logo when I saw Ted
+Lojix - I saw it at the Lorax. Opening week
+Ilvg200 same. I was so excited
damn that profile pic tho
i saw it at minions
Love the NEW LOGO
Well this is 10yrs ago so not exactly new anymore lol.
@@kevinhoward9593 it was 9 years ago
Same
For the 200th anniversary, they'll put real giant letters in orbit around Earth
And we'll all die. Thanks Universal!
March 2112
A H H H H A F R I C K I N A S T E R O I D A H H H H
If the letters shrank and fell in my front yard I'd play with them
No you will not rkivunderground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I get tears. The Universal film House is the best I know. The soundtrack then ... really incredible, everything. The chills.
Anyone wanting to know what the music is from - it's Casper "One Last Wish". You're welcome. :)
This clip brings tears of joy to my eyes as it shows its vast history of cinema. Universal, you rock!!
The oldest movie studio
Dont you just love it when your sitting down in the movie theater waiting for the movie to start and then the universal song starts playing? This is like a trip down memory lane(100th anniversary)
Yup.
i got chills. how the hell can a logo be so epic?
Best intro ever
NEIL CURCIO no. the best one is the screaming one. that is the best one.
Universal is the undisputed champion of nostalgic intros.
0:29 I get nostalgic when I see that. :)
"MOM! Phineas and Ferb put giant letters in the sky!" XD
XD
XDXDXDXDXDXDXD
gregory mccoy Disney x Universal
Shut Up Candace! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Dave seville:AAAAALLLLVVVVINNNNN!!!!!!!
I love how the perspective on the newest logo makes the word "Universal" look gigantic.
Love the Music from 1995's Casper!
It was played on the scene 🎬 when the clock stroke at 10:00 🕙, Casper turns back into a Ghost and Amelia’s spirit says goodbye to her widower James. 😢😢😢
0:38 jump to the new logo =)

Boy I love the new one, it sounds and looks so epic.
Congratulations to you, Universal Studios! You finally made it! 100 years going strong in making memorable films! May you continue to bring more classic films for generations to remember! HAPPY CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY UNIVERSAL PICTURES!!!
1: Not a good one, but there is no invented colors and good letters.
2: What was the thing the is on the side of Earth? Anyways, OK.
3: A good one, I'm proud that there is color now.
4:Good colors and good effects!
5: Very good! Letters are orbiting the Earth now!
6: Excellent! The Universal Logo is getting better and better!
7: EPIC! THE NEW ONE IS VERY VERY EXCELLENT! NO ONE LOGO CAN BEAT THE UNIVERSAL LOGO!!!
jigs roxas The newest one is the worst one... The 1990 version will always be the best one
Honestly, any of those logos could still be used today and be considered a modern logo, If they touch it up a bit, remember the 1936 logos remake in the Wolfman
One last wish by James Horner. "Can I keep you?"
I love how on the new logo, the Universal letters actually flash in time to the music when they reach the screen.
Is it just me or this logo gets people emotional?
Hands down, the best of Universal's centennial logos.
I remember seeing this during The Lorax, I was confused as hell why it was showing all of the past ones. I shed a tear seeing the 1990 and 1997 ones, those were the ones I grew up with.
And then, when it showed the new one, my jaw dropped to the floor. The whole theater cheered when it showed “100th Anniversary”.
Beautiful.
The fifth logo will always be my favorite. I have some fond childhood memories associated with that one. :)
The logo just keeps getting more and more spectacular
On the first two seconds first seeing the new logo in theatre for the "The Lorax", I notice the logo's music and thought,
"Oh so this is the Universal production logo. But why do I feel as if there's something different about it?"
Note that I haven't seen the last logo for months...
But I thought my brain was playing tricks on me. Then the epic drums and chorus comes in with the words appearing that looks as if they would come out of the screen and made me start to wonder if this was a new logo. 100th anniversary showed and I was like,
"...HELL YEAH!"
Don't know why I wanted to share this story. Just thought some of you would be interested in good stories.
Wtf...
+Bill McDonnell it is real
Chao Flaka good story
Cool story bro
This moved me even more than The Wizard of Oz.
I love that buildup through the history of logos. The last the which is the current one omg it gives me chills.
I almost cried
1st Logo: There is no color.
2nd Logo: Still no Color. :(
3nd Logo: The Color Appears!
4th Logo: Excellent!
5th Logo: Wow, Nice.
6th Logo: Awesome!
7th Logo/100TH ANNIVERSARY: WOAH! WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOA-
Don't you mean by: 3rd logo?
Universesal is FINE ITS GOOD WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIII😃
AMAZING....I played it ten times, the orchestration is fantastic, and it will look incredible on Blu-rayin 3D!

I've always loved the Universal logo & theme, but this new one is extra awesome!
It feels like you're about to see the most epic movie ever made.
It fits with 0:38.
can we talk about the little compilation of logos at the beginning? it's such a nice callback to the 75th, and i almost wish they'd used it more
Saw the universal live show at universal studios... Get goosebumps every time and I came over all nostalgic by the end of it
All of the pre-1927 logos are missing, too. They are:
1914-1919: Universal Films - The Trans-Atlantic Film Co. Ltd.
1920-1922: Universal Film Manufacturing Company
1923-1925: Universal Pictures (rotating letters)
January 18, 1925: Carl Laemmle Presents
I think they only want to show the iconic logos of Universal or at least the milestones of Universal.
I wanna do a pre-1927 version! I think it would be cool!
I attached my phone to my speaker and made the volume maximum and used the intro music in waking up my family. And each of them jumped from their bed XD
+MastersofCP Go for it, I used the latest intro
+MastersofCP me too
I have a great idea, why don't you put the universe studio intro as your ringtone, when your phone rings, people would be hell confused
😈
:D I am an evil genius
Hands down the best studio logo ever
This is just amazing. No idea how to describe the newest one. Gives me chills everytime I watch it. Wow
This is a FANTASTIC new opening sequence. Spectacular visuals, and a wonderful twist of the popular theme!
The best I've seen from Universal. I especially like the concept of showing every style that was used, then hitting the viewers with the ultimate, most realistic looking one of them all. It definitely gives Paramount's 100th Anniversary logo animation sequence (though good it is, don't get me wrong) a run for their money
0:29 - The "Universal" 1997 logo is still being used for Universal Music Group (including its UMG's international recording label division MCA Music in the Philippines) and UMG is still managed by the Vivendi group.
the last one gave me the chills on how cool it was
The 1997-2011 one is my favorite. I grew up with that one
me to
Same
So did i
Same
Same here cause i thought the 1997 logo still exists but sadly not anymore
Anyone else notice how the U, N, I, and V, flash a lense flare reflection in time with the music? Well you do now lmao
The Casper crescendo is amazing!
When you hear this in a theater room It's like your ascending to heaven!
If you see this before a movie you know it's going to be a good movie!
let's see, universal's 2012 movies:
man with the iron fist
the lorax
despicable me 2 (oh hey, also the 30th anniversary of E.T!)
fast and furious 6
johnny english reborn.
i'm so sorry.
This logo was shown before Minions...
Out of Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox and Universal, Universals theme has to be my favourite.
When I went and saw "The Lorax", this epic logo really took me by suprise because I had no idea that Universal had been around for this long!
I just ADORE that chorus they added for this amazing logo. It made it so much better & it sounds really epic/adventurous!
I freaking love this! It's so majestic!
One Last Time - James Horner
So good
This gets me so emotional !
Gives me chills everytime
The 100th anniversary one is sound like your entering heaven.
I feel like my ears were just made love to.
I love how they remastered the old universal logos
You guys should check out the behind-the-scenes of making the theme (for the 100th anniversary version), by Brian Tyler. A lot of work goes into things even as small as this 30 second intro. At least, it made me appreciate the little things more.
Best intro
I think I enjoy the way you see the 1997 logo which was clearly the first full CGI one with the 2015 CGI one right after, how incredibly more detailed it has become and represents the advancement in that field. In a way it's also a statement of what the film industry is like today, with all the CGI thrown around. It's kind of two sides of the same coin for me, bittersweet.
100 years... from black and white silence films with Lon Chaney, to Dracula and Frankenstein, to King Kong, to Psycho to To kill a mocking bird, E.T, Jaws, to Land Before time, to American tail to Back to the future parts 1-3, America Pie, from drama, horror, actions, adventure, comedy, romance and everything in between Universal Studios you made this far from 1912 to 2012, may you last for another 100 years making great and memorable films that everyone remembers for all time.
0:45 - The music is getting EPIC!
Epic! Loved the new harmonies in the music. Really inspiring stuff!
0:48 the sun was just like dafuq 😂😂😂
zakiyp8 dafuq xD
Lyly the Wolf xdd
Lyly the Wolf Saturn: earth got a ring better than mine JELLLLLLYYY
zakiyp8 The sun is like WHY IS THERE HUGE LETTERS ON EARTH THATS DEFINITELY NOT NORMAL
You couldn't possibly pick a better song. Believe or not, this probably my favorite video on UA-cam. As a up and coming actor, I see this as such a inspiration to have my name shown after this theme ONE day.
When they did the 75th Anniversary, I thought, "In 25 years, they have to top this." Boy did they ever!
Gosh I love the new one so much! So epic!
I think I just came !! And why am I so into this shit
They should’ve included all these logos in every movie from March 2012 to January 2013. Just like Universal did with their 75th logo in May 1990 to May 1991.
The music that played over the previous Universal logo variations kind of brought tears to my eyes.
Liek if u cri everytim
I was just about to say that😂
+Riniculous learn to speel dump sheet
+Going Postal you learn. and thats how you spell that sentance

American prints have the Warner Bros logo also as the same variation) The Little Engine That Could (2011, as a variant and with no MCA byline because Universal is now owned by NBCUniversal)

this New Universal Logo rocks happy birthday Universal your my fav studio, celebrating 100 years.
happy 100th anversy universal studios
From worst to best:
#7. 1st logo
#6. 3rd logo
#5. 2nd logo
#4. 4th logo
#3. 7th logo (2013-present) (Has my favorite effects, great music as well)
#2. 5th logo (1990-1996) (Has my favorite music, effects have aged well, very nostalgic to me)
#1. 6th logo (1997-2012) (Has the perfect balance of effects and music, my favorite overall)
Best is todays!! Just epic!!!
I would agree the 1997 logo was probably the best, it had great use of color and contrast and it really catches your eye. The current one looks like a blue mist in comparison, even though it has a more realistic Earth. Sometimes realism doesn't do logos any favors, it clashes with the unrealistic "UNIVERSAL" text curling around it.
The 1990 logo is cute, but I think it might be overrated. It's a very good logo, but I think the favoritism mostly has to do with nostalgia. Nostalgia might have influenced the 1997 being my favorite, but I was first exposed to the 1990 and 1963 (4th) logos as a little tot and I first saw the 1997 later on, which blew me away at the time. I also really like the 1936 (2nd) logo and it still is an impressive visual effect after 80+ years.
Seeing this logo for the very first time, was just absolutely mindblowing, because never would we have thought a logo would feel this massive on an already massive screen, as if you felt the whole logo hover over you. It was insane.
so many feels, the goose bumps
So is this like a fandom or something now
0:50 -> EPIC
As a member of the children born in the 2000's...... it makes me cry that we came a long way from there to here 😢😢. Surely, we are going to miss those times.
I loved Universal! Ever since I was a kid.
This music was in the Casper movie
Universal The best company for over 104 years XD
I will cry! This is very epic!
wow never heard the old one before, super beautiful!
Trust me Universal doesn't f%@! around !!,Only the best can last a Century :)
So did 20th century studios
Jesus Christ was the composer on crack
happyhellday3 you don’t know what art is
i love how re-releases of older movies include both the new and old logos (see the back to the future blu-ray for reference)
Can I just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the latest intro. Also a Universal horror flick from 2007, Dead Silence, opens with the very first B&W logo, which was very fitting!
