There was something very special with this era, this artistic direction, it's all so cohesive, raw, fucking violent in a way. It was serious blink, no jokes, it was really the punkest they ever were
Well, the no jokes part is probably because they were incredibly dysfunctional and more or less hated each other. There is a show around this time where Tom was making a joke and Mark shut him down and told him to shut the fuck up. It was mad awkward.
Their self titled album was garbage. They took themselves way too serious and, kind of ironically, became even funnier than they were during the Enema era. I see this era of Blink as nothing but contrived and corny.
They sound fantastic today. Like Tom sounds WAY better on vocals now. People may disagree but if you take away the speed from this, he's just as off key as he was in 2009 (but still a great performer). But this speed is what makes everything here so great. Plus Mark's voice was at its peak.
This^^^ I saw them on the most recent tour and warned the person I went with that they usually don’t sound that great live since I had seen them before and she hadn’t. And damn if they didn’t make me eat my words. They were locked in perfectly Tom actual sounded good and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
I have seen them every chance I could since pop disaster tour. Even at a young age I was always feeling Tom’s vocals live were just.. eh. This most recent tour? Tom’s vocals sound great. He is more dialed in now than ever IMO.
The clarity and quality of sound on this is perfect. Really appreciate the hard work that went into this. It’s essentially The Mark Tom & Travis Show 2
I just wanted to say I really appreciate all the kind words so far on the video and about the sound! I'm very happy that people seem to like it. I do plan on restoring more blink concerts and hopefully stuff from AVA, BCR, and +44 too, as well as other artists -- thanks again!
Probably cause blink is returning with Tom so people are coming out from under a rock. They even released an documentary I saw yesterday that was amazing, shot by Esteban , same dude who did all their photos and cd videos for self titled. Recommend checking it out if you haven’t !
@@Thedreamlandfire I actually just saw that a bit ago, haven't watched the full thing yet but I've seen parts. It's just crazy that there's probably such a small number of people who still have copies of that old documentary saved somewhere and they just recently decided to leak it
So so unique characters , they all mean so much to me. Discovered them when I was 12-13 and they truly turned my life upside down. I wanted to say that this was top of their game but I saw couple of better shows
48:00 is the second time I've ever seen Travis mess up and the only time I've ever seen him lose a stick and I've watched tons of Blink 182 performances. Dude was coked out of his mind here with a broken foot and still sounded better than any drummer of his era. Best punk drummer of all time and what really took Blink to GOAT tier status.
The thing that keeps surprising me is how all of them are top notch musicians, but they (yes, I mean Tom) purposefully plays badly as part of their image. This show is a rare exception to that. It shows how incredibly tight they are as professional musicians. Many many thanks for the effort of remastering this gem
Their absolute peak. Frustration births the finest art, and this was their most frustrated period, so its a good thing that it didn't last to long. Thankfull that i got to be there to witness it tough, the art is sublime ❤
Thanks for remastering this! It's incredible. I watched the entire thing. I saw them on this tour, front row, amazing show. Tom is hilarious live. The peak of their careers, sad it was right before they broke up. Either way, my favorite band in the world and the memories will last forever. Thanks once again for this video.
Just posted the same thing lol. I saw him barely miss a cymbal once during the awesome cymbal choke part of Always, but aside from that the guy is flawless every performance.
Os caras estavam ligados no 220v, show pesado e rápido. Travis on fire na bateria, Tom com a guitarra no talo e Mark na pegada do baixo! Esse show foi punk total.
Dang if Tom had only not been ashamed of his Box Car Racer leaning tendencies with Blink maybe pop punk would have progressed in more a rock bent instead of Boys Like Girls and All Time Low bubble gum pop.
2023 now. But back when guitar was load as fk with kick ass mute. I think that was a big part of blink the over load desertion guitar sounds. I love the new album, just turn the volume up on Tom's amp. I know it's not him.

Exactly....so it wasn't blink.
Blink was all about fun...they lost that.
And the music was meh...St is overrated af

@@07foxmuldernah the self titled album is their best album. Peak quality blink
@@07foxmulder That's probably the biggest L take I've seen of Untitled ever.
This might be the most locked in they ever were as a band
Playing fast, but Tom's vocals sound terrible. It was at this time his live vocals really started to take a downturn.

Idk I think this tour they played the worst
The best part is how much Tom hates this crowd😂
For anyone who doesn’t know, Travis has a broken right foot here and had to play with his left foot instead. That is impressive
The clarity and quality of sound on this is perfect. Really appreciate the hard work that went into this. It’s essentially The Mark Tom & Travis Show 2
I agree with you
I love this show ❤️
a world where "i miss you" was only a song for a year or so is where i want to be again.
Or a world where it was never released as a single with that corny Nightmare Before Christmas-ish video
Man when mark said it's 2004... I didn't need to hear that today
I just wanted to say I really appreciate all the kind words so far on the video and about the sound! I'm very happy that people seem to like it. I do plan on restoring more blink concerts and hopefully stuff from AVA, BCR, and +44 too, as well as other artists -- thanks again!
I don't understand how footage of a full show like this can go undiscovered for almost 2 decades and then randomly pop up, it's amazing though

@@Bossmetalzone indeed but the audio quality of this one is superb!
This was apparently found on a DVD at the venue and an edited 1hour 1 minute version was on eBay for $500
Came in to see how it sounded, ended up watching the whole thing. Great remaster! Tom's first verse in Asthenia sounded incredible.
Man that song specifically he really killed it
1:36 The kind of stamina it takes to pull off Tom's downstrokes here is incredible.
He aint no james het
This part rivals Hetfield's fastest downstroke parts, but who cares? Hetfield being an amazing guitar player doesn't diminish Tom's talents @@ajc1213

blink at their litteral peak man
Travis is truly unreal. Best drummer in the world

Scott was a better punk rock drummer
@@c-dublifeya but Travis was better
@@c-dublifeScott was literally garbage. Lol
The end where Tom is so wasted he takes off with the mic stand and one of Travis's cymbals never fails to make me laugh.

Many consider this era of blink-182 as the prime era. When they were artistically and performance wise at there best.

You can see at 48:02 Travis dropping a stick. I’ve never seen him mess up like that before!
rem hes playing with broken foot, kicking with left foot

The year is 2024 and I have stumbled upon this absolute gold 😆 Thanks user for the upload.
I can appreciate this so much more than the autotuned performances they're displaying after their reunion.
miss this kind of the rock show
I'll take this exact set list this summer thank you very much.
THIS ERA WAS TOP TIER. Too bad tensions within the band were already boiling here... BCR is amazing but was definitely a watershed moment for blink182
This is the tour where they added so much to their existing songs.. Love it. Hope they can start doing that again (they sound good live again!)
this is EARGASM. Fuck i love Blink
Favorite tom look hands down
I would love for this to have an official release

Blink at their peak. Good ol days ♥️💯
Stayed for the whole thing. Great great great! Blink is so no necessary in life
Absolutely nuts!
Watch at 0.85x to ease off the anxiety
Esse é o melhor show já feito pela banda
Damn,I love that Gibson sound.😮😮😮
what an amazing work my friend. millions of thanks and best vibes only ❤❤❤
Tom had a very tough leadership spirit in this one. awesome

unreal.
Awesome
not a click track or autotune rig in sight
Or backing track..tom has eased of the autotune lately
When I saw the thumbnail I thought that was Leon from resident evil playing guitar 💀💀
51:07 the adventure
eargasm
Was 14 then, begged older people to take me but never did. Got to take my son to see them last year.
This was on my 3rd birthday 🤣
Before Violence, they talk about being in Philly not NJ
Tweeter Center is just over the river. They’re in the same geographical area and market.
Another GREAT version of Down ending!!!!!@55:22
Crowd is absolutely woeful though
soul sucking
It's Philly/NJ so of course the people suck.
Dang if Tom had only not been ashamed of his Box Car Racer leaning tendencies with Blink maybe pop punk would have progressed in more a rock bent instead of Boys Like Girls and All Time Low bubble gum pop.
Blame crybaby mark
The most amazing part is that Travis is using his left foot on the bass drum because his right foot was broken. That is BAD ASS🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
"We just played our songs as fast as we could, just so we can get off there... we weren't a band anymore.. "
🔥🔥🔥
Did Mark ever comment on why he changed the vocal melody of Feeling This's chorus?
nice
They were sing so fast... looks like they were in rush !!
Eles tavam kkk nessa época se odiavam e tocavam rápido pra acabar logo
Asthenia is the best
Undefeated travis 😎
travis killing with the left foot
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
31:38 Tom le dice al público que esta sentado que si esta ahí comodo, sarcásticamente 😂😂😂
Idk what it is about this concert but Toms tone is just insanely good here...the palm mutes especially!
He's not using strats
Mark is so damn hot 🤤
Mark did not look happy at all :(
theyre playin on a speedrun lol

The mix on the album was awful..I blame barker
no one notice they might in conflict at that time?
Hammersmith Apollo blink 182 2004 live beats the shit out of this
If you pay attention to how they are acting Tom is being his normal self and Mark is the one still moody and on his period from BoxCar Racer lol
48:02 stick dropped
Do you feeling it?))
1:18 lazy crowd 😂, "You guys are really bad to this 💩"
Does anyone know what this song is at 1:00:58 and at 1:01:26? The one at 1:01:26 sounds very familiar to me but I can't quite put my finger on it
I believe the first song is B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad) by Outkast. Not sure about the other one unfortunately
When the levee breaks by Led Zeppelin
Travis Barker was overplaying to the max on every song. Sometimes it works. Most of the time it’s incredibly annoying.
He does it a lot nowadays
