4 Things to Remember about your Silhouette Cameo® 4

- We have received some commonly asked questions with the new Cameo 4, and there are some subtle differences from our other machines. Here are four things to note about your Silhouette Cameo® 4.
1. Push the blade down completely before closing it in.
2. Bluetooth doesn't turn on until you see the blue light on the Bluetooth icon in the light panel on the side of your machine. Press the button yourself if it isn't blue.
3. To move the center rollers, you must first unlock the lever. Then you can slide the rollers to the desired position. Once they're in place, lock the lever again before you run the machine.
4. The built-in crosscutter is an amazing tool, but just make sure to raise it up after each time you use it so the back of your machine stays clear.

You just helped me find my cutting problem. The top to push up on the cutter housing when inserting the blade did it for me.

can you show how to calibrate cameo 4 mine is not cutting right at all
I'd like to ask but probably this channel will not answer. What do you do when you have to load without mat but the lock is just right on the edge of the vinyl because the vinyl is small do you bring it in the next lock place and leave that 10cm ish vinyl free? or do you put it on the edge leaving it unlocked?
I am having difficulty cutting with the roll feeder, do you have any suggestions? When I go to feed the roll it gets stuck on the lip under the roller. Thank you!

Hi, as the Cameo 4 does not have the touch screen anymore, does it still retain the repeat job function that the predecessors have? Thanks
No, there is currently no Repeat job, you would need to send the job again from the Send tab in the software. However, it has been suggested and they are looking into it.
@K M supposedly for manual registration, but it doesn't matter. The machine won't read any registration marks whatsoever.
@K M I have the portrait 2 and cameo 4 and they most definitely are in cahoots to sabotage my life! And I'm only half joking when I say this.
i will not buy another cameo without the REPEAT JOB function!!!! pls bring that function back.

I've recenlty bought the Cameo 4 and I'm having problems with my AutoBlade the red line in the AutoBlade is always set on 0... I send an easy project with the defaults sets (Material: Cardboard, plain. Action: Auto. Tool: AutoBlade) . The red line of depht cut on the AutoBlade never changes from 0 ...
I've followed your tip #1 and nothing changes...

They should explain how to connect to a windows 10 machine. Had one of these and it never connected, waited for a response from tech support which never returned my email. After two weeks of waiting and NO RESPONSE I ended up returning. I wish these guys had tech support.

I have had this silhouette for 7 months not and its been set up it cut only one time for me
I also have the silhouette cameo and it cuts every time and I have had it for 3 to 4 years and I
have never had this much problem with the old silhouette cameo as I am having with this new silhouette, hell it wont cut, I have lost so much vinyl cause it wont cut, I need my money back
it is not what I paid so much money for.
by far the worst. I lost $250 in my business so far. I have added different groups. I have also reached out to people that I don't know. it is a shame that this machine does not work. I want to cry because I need my business to be back to what it used to be. i want to et back working hard

too bad your customer service is the worst, you keep answering the same thing for people who have problems with the autoblade (making sure it is seated properly) - obviously that doesn't work - myself and hundreds of others are telling you your product sucks and YOU DON'T CARE!
4 months later: Did you manage to make the machine work? Asking for a friend. Also: On a scale from 1 to 10, how ashamed are you of your rant now?
It's awful!!! I'm so behind on orders and nothing is working and I can't get any answers either!
