Glad to hear this guy feels a 3.25 tc is a good all round rod. Just spent a fortune on a set of 3 Harrison Torrix rods in 3.25 and was worried it would be a bit overkill for most of my fishing situations. Needn't have worried caught a couple of sub 10ib carp and they still feel great, just as forgiving as my previous 3ib paragon + rods.

What size reel is that on the 3.5 lb carp rod? I was trying to get a 10lf nash scope with a 5500 shimano ultegra super slow 5 oscillating reel. Is this a good combo for far casts or is a bigger reel required?
The bend of the rod which is shown in video is nothing to do with the Test curve, the way the rod bends no matter of the test curve is down to the action of the blank, and the action of the blank can be Tip Action, Tip to Middle action or Through action, test curve is the amount of pull it takes to bring the tip over to right angles with the rod.

At 3:01 you are wrong. You don't get 3.5lb daiwa infinitys. So it either 3.25 or 3.75 more likely the 3.75

What a load of crap test curve as nothing to do with the action of the rod or how far you can and can not cast with a rod. Casting long range is all about the action of the rod and fully compresing it. Also some 3.5tc rods are very nice for playing fish on.
