Some of the lesser known brands, from Germany or Japan made some excellent equipment. If the camera has been properly cared for, is clean and in working condition, don't be afraid to give it a try.. As for auto exposure modes; I've always preferred Shutter-Priority. This insures the shot isn't ruined because of camera shake.
I had the same problem with a KR5 super. I solved it by unlocking the second curtain (the one that goes up from below. It remained stuck, but the problem now Is solved!
@@RandomSync7 with some LIGHT TAPES with the back of the camera open I unlocked the bottom curtain, and then 1/125 of a second and I shot...does it still freeze? repeat the operation..tell me if you Need another Little help ..
This was my very first camera! I recently found it in a closet... can't wait to get some film and shoot a few frames with it!

I have the same camera and the mirror is stuck in the open position
