It seems, that this is a later version of the Bilora Radix. The Version from 1948/49, the Radix 1, has no shoe for flash or rangefinder and another plate around the optic.

I'm a sucker for sentimental items that bring back memories. This is the camera my parents had in the 70's as I was growing up. This camera went on all of our vacations to Disney, Circus World, Sea World, Cypress Gardens, Six Flags, etc. Priceless memory. I wasn't sure if this was the model until I found the original yellow box and remembered the image of an older man and young girl on the inside. #priceless to me...

Thank you so SO much for the video, it helped me so much in discovering how to use this old type of camera. I got one today from my grandpa and we couldn't figure out how to use it, cuz it was ages since my pa last used it. Thank you, once again ❤!!!!

Thank you for helping me to identify my very first camera. I still have this camera, I used it up until the late 1980's when you could still get 126 film for it. I have the camera, the case, the UV filter that is a push fit on to the lens and also the flash cube adaptor although finding flash cubes these days might be a problem! The camera all still works the shutter is as crisp sounding as it has always been. The plastics have a few scars from being put in to the case but otherwise it's great.

very nice camera but be cautious with the shutter release button that could shoot anytime coz there is no on-off button....

Thanks, great video! Instructive. Although on 00:59, on Bulb, you can see through lens that the aperture blades are not staying open. So, Bulb doesn't work, it seems. But, on the other hand, who cares about Bulb. 😊

Used to have the 304 for many years until the shutter failed. Disassembled the camera but was somewhat disappointed by the simple plastic lens. Recently purchased a functioning 404 in a thrift; presumably same specs except for the interesting wind up film advance. Nice video of the camera in operation brings back fond memories of using my own camera.

Hello, I just found a Chinon 35 EE camera . This model is identical to the Prinz 35 in your video. Same technical characteristics, only the brand changes. In my Chinon I I found the original 1,3 volt mercury battery. See that you recommend replacing it with a 44 ( I used a LR 44 ) 1.5 volt. I wonder if this could change the correct reading of the CDS cell. Do you think a higher voltage could lead to exposure errors? Have you already taken some photos with the new battery ? Thanks for your videos.

Wrong! If the film end is inserted this way then it is likely to pull out as the lever is advanced. The end should be inserted flat across and down into the take up spool slot - as per the User Manual.

Did you do the shutter sound test without the battery? Because they all sound the same to me. Which makes sense because without the battery the shutter speed is always 1/90.

The Chinonflex TTL was not launched in 1966, but rather in 1968, i.e. after the Ricoh Singlex TLS, as the Ricoh Singlex TLS is the original model, which was launched in June 1967. The Sears T-L-S is the American export version of the Ricoh Singlex TLS and was also launched on the American market in 1967. The Sigma Mark1 is a replica of the Ricoh Singlex TLS and was launched on the market in 1976 as the very first camera of the Sigma brand, based on the original construction plans that Sigma purchased from Ricoh. So all cameras that basically look like the Ricoh Singlex TLS are either re-labelled export versions of the original Ricoh Singlex TLS, or replicas, or copies.

I hope you can help me with this camera. I dont have a flashcube and the batteries are not produced anymore. Can i take pictures without them? If not what batteries can i use?

Hey man im not sure if my cameras shutter is stuck open or if it somehow fell out, its an argus a2b from the 40s, any ideas for a fix?

The item marked film guide rail is infact Film Pressure Plate, holds film flat against guide rails which are silver strips above and below shutter,

This was my second camera after using a box camera with a name ‘Diana’ on it. I used this Yashica Minister D from 1976-1984 many hundreds of rolls of predominantly black & white and also covering a few weddings of my friends. Photos were sharp and clear, very easy to use, simple in design and solid as a rock. After all those years it didn’t miss a beat and never had to get it serviced. I left it with a nephew and I will soon find out the fate of my Yashica. But I saw one of these recently in our local camera shop in Adelaide Central Market and bought it for a princely sum of $150.00 and I will be taking it out for a run very soon. Thanks for the lovely video of my legendary camera.
