Wow! Thanks for this. I had never even heard of google classroom and this will solve so many of my issues. We are starting our very first gather round (Asia) in a few weeks and have been enjoying your channel. I’ve got an only son, age 7 and I’m super excited to switch to GR for both of us.

I have been doing a combo of overview excel spreadsheet and the planner page that comes with the units to write in stuff, trying to save Playlists on UA-cam, and bookmark subfiles. This looks so much better and more organized!

i learned about kiddle!!!! This is genius though! I see so many good websites you were using maybe you could video some great resources safe for kids! I'm thinking of using google classroom for our upcoming year to stay organized!

Thank you for sharing! I know a lot of us Gather Round families use Trello for organizing resources and videos - what made you lean towards Google Classroom or just using their app instead?
Honestly, it was the one I was most familiar with at the time. Trello is great too.
What would be your recommendation if you just want to talk about notes from a book? My girls and I Are working through a book on animals for science and I'm scrambling. I'd like a place where I can just put in notes from the book without reading whole thign.
Google Slides or Power Point would be great for that.

I’m pretty sure you can move things around. I also think you can invite others to join, so your husband should be able to join.
How did you get free google classroom for homeschool? They denied me because I don't have an .edu email address. I am a homeschool teacher.
I just used my gmail address when I signed up.
