My current pop up emitter goes up vertically and water flows out of it in 360 degrees, often flooding the surrounding grass. I see this emitter has a hinge on one side instead of mine that goes straight up. Would the hinge style pop up assist in "aiming" the flow of water in one direction instead of in all directions and back into my grass?

I Do. We are using a lot of 45° degree elbow FDM V2.0 as long as you take it to a hard slope. Anyplace we need a pop-up emitter we are using this moving forward.

Looks great but do you make a pop up emitter that accepts a 2" Schedule 40 PVC connection? I was planning on using 2" Schedule 40 PVC size to connect from the 2"x3" downspouts. Is that doable or does it make sense from an engineering standpoint to expand to 3" or even 4"?

I'm a DIYer planning to do the job using the French Drain Man's pop-up emitters, downspout adapters, y connections and tile tapes. Or am I better off going with the high octane solids as they would be one to two solid runs per side? The Schedule 40 PVCs would be multiple connections to run it 40+feet to the curb. Appreciate the feedback.

The flap will get chopped up by the mower. I just had one destroyed cutting northern grass.

French Drain Man - will the lid on this emitter come up with the suction created by a lawnmower?
We set it at 2 1/2" inches. I have a turf management background. Only golf courses get cut lower then that.

I've never seen 2" for a downspout. 2" doesn't displace enough water.
