I find the music that plays after you win in MK7 and Tour, so anti climactic. Literally, all the other Mario Kart games have a much more grand and upbeat music that makes you feel like you've beaten the game. The MK7 sound doesn't give that sort of satisfaction to me. It just feels like I've completed one part, and I'm onto the next. MK Tour just plays the same music for any placement, so it's just lame entirely.

The last game to feature characters driving to a celebration, with other characters cheering, and podiums was Mario Kart Wii Mario Kart 7 just featured the Top 3 characters on Toad Circuit.... no cheering, no podiums, just driving past the finish line, then it just fades and shows a screen with the trophy Mario Kart 8's is the worst one. It's just a random highlight reel from one of the courses, then a generic screen. In my opinion, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Wii have the best trophy ceremonies as they're both proper celebrations, with DD being the better of the two. It's a _proper_ celebration. They have an cheering audience. They have the actual trophy appearing in the ceremony, and not a random screen with a background and a floating trophy that spins around.
No, it's normal The Wii uses Assets from games from the GameCube because both consoles are incredibly comparable, other than the noticeable upgrades and motion tracking, most games that you see that comes out immediately or a few years after the Wii's introduction comes out was originally suppose to be on the GameCube, hence why the games feel like it should belong on that console, it's also why the Wii can play GameCube discs There's videos talking about this if you're interested, it's really an interesting concept
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is so.... moderate when it comes to winning and losing. In the older games, winning was like "CONGRATULATIONS! WOOHOO! FIREWORKS! EXPLOSIONS! CHEERING!", and losing was like "YOU ARE STUPID! NO TROPHY FOR YOU! GET BLOWN UP, NOOB!" In Mario Kart 8 however, winning is like "Cool, you won. Here's a trophy or something", and losing is like "Well, you took part. That's cool. Here's some music that sounds less like you lost a race, and more like a map screen, with a sort of Sonic Lost World feel to it".
Double Dash did it better with that sunshine carnival by the beach, and Toadsworth driving the winners on that golden car. When it comes to the music, MK8 wins, it makes you feel so good.
