The manufacturers have convinced consumers that what they want is an ultra-thin bezel. The mind bending is so complete that people will fight you over this point. IT WAS SOLEY TO REDUCE MANUFACTURING COSTS AND IS IN NO WAY A BENEFIT, RATHER IT IS A LIABILITY TO THE CONSUMER! I hope I can reach even one person with this, but I doubt it. Metal backs, thick bezels, and glass screens is what you actually need but it costs so much no manufacturer will do it anymore and even if they did, you wouldn't buy it. I've seen brand new OLED's that are warped with bent screens because of insufficient bezel and back panel strength. These are very expensive tv's and the consumer deserves better.

@@plasmatvforgaming9648 You're right. And how many years has it lasted so far? And when it comes time to move it - no problem! I put my VT30 plasma in the back of my truck, no box, lying FLAT on a thin moving blanket. I did this because it has a metal back - and moved it 50 miles on a very rough interstate that was under construction. No damage! You CANNOT do that with a new OLED. this is not true at all. This was done because women make the buying decisions in the home and back in the TVs were, big and ugly. So sleak looking flat panels that blend into the living room absolutely IS what most consumers wanted and still want. You comment is absolute nonsense. As someone who's worked retail and warehouses unloading trucks, these things happen more than you would think. Supervisors put the workers on a deadline to get things done, so they're trying to get things unloaded ASAP. I've seen lots of merchandise get destroyed.
But in terms of the panel you're trying to get, maybe try a different shop? I'm waiting for my remote control to see what panel I have. But yea, it's a hassle going back and forth packing and returning, especially if you don't have help. Dead pixels, green tints, even return and rebuy for a price match because they'd rather you do that than simply price match it.

While I understand you are enthusiast like me and we both want the best version of these devices we can get, I do not agree with complaining about Samsung. You are upset about 2000 nits as I would be but most people have no idea about this. Samsung didnt advertise this. Also screen uniformity is a gamble always and its still much better than WOLED panels when it comes to that. The one connect box issue is not something normal TV buyers will ever think about. Its also been proven to work fine with a very good hdmi cable. The only real defect you have had is a bad speaker on your s95c. Every other TV you picked up was totally reasonable for most people, so I do not understand saying Samsung deserves the complaining. On the other hand if I was buying a new tv I would send it back every time as well it was not what I wanted but to blame Samsung is I feel wrong. Also if your getting the new TV's from the same best buy over and over, they probably all come form the same shipment more or less. Maybe you should try another best buy, or have it sent from the warehouse delivered to try and get one from a different batch.

I disassembled it from the box while it was already standing on the platform where it was going to stay. Left the foam corners on while I tried to attach the stand. This was almost a disaster because I had to lean it forward with one hand and put the stand on at the bottom and I almost dropped it forward off of the platform. It would have crushed the whole front. I will never take the stand off to move it or anything else. 75 inch is massive and really it’s too big for my apartment but I plan on moving to something bigger.

Please read carefully: In 3 years you will not have burn-in, but a much lower brightness of the panel. I have not checked for the latest models, but the first Samsung QD-Oled model had the biggest traces of burn-in after 4000 hours of operation, which after an update were considerably reduced along with the maximum brightness of the panel according to RTINGS tests. The second generation of QD-Oled did not show any more traces of burn-in, but a sharp decrease in brightness after ~4000 hours. LG probably also took over this model of covering the traces of burn-in and reducing the brightness with the 3 series. But the decrease in brightness is much lower because the panel is not so prone to burn-in.

Could you check if Dolby Atmos home theater is working on pc ?
I also have a s93d 65 inch but Dolby Atmos home theater is not working in Windows but it is on my lg cx 65. The s93d does play atmos audio from a videofile via pc just not the atmos Home Theater. In Windows audio supported audio modes there is no Dolby Atmos but there is on my lg cx.
I have a Sony str dn1080 receiver connected with hdmi earc.
My s93d is eu version made in Hungary with also 682 apa.
I would really appreciate it if you could check the atmos in windows on your s90d.
I really like the tv just the atmos not working is very annoying.
For now i have to connect the receiver direct to the pc for atmos home theater but that gives me an extra screen in windows that i dont want and cec isnt working also so no auto on/off synced with the tv.( No screen connected to the receiver, just for audio only)

Screen burn?" If you say "Yeah, just 2 dead pixels but it was like that when I got it" a lot of people will either want money knocked off or not buy it. It's being suspected that samsung is purposely doing this to push for more sales of the S95D instead, which is a more expensive model. The honest truth brother Samsung is struggling in the quality assurance dept. there's always some issue when it comes to hardware build and software issues on their panels in the last 5 years or so hence why many consumers are churning and going to brighter panels like the mini led tech or perhaps even over to LG Models which has guarantee on thier panels for up to 5 years. At this moment, I under samsung corp is struggling in general and the team that incorporates the innovation and development of new tv tech were all switched out or fired by the ceo on top of the corruption scandel they are dealing with right now.

I never checked the service menu, assuming it was gen 2 panel. As I was mounting it, the tilt on the wall mount was loose and the tv flung forward. I got scared and grabbed it and it cracked the screen! Went back to bestbuy, exchanged it, no questions asked, I got a new S90c shipped because they were sold out in store and it was gen 1 version FA01 😢 …. I didn’t want to go through what you’re going through right now, the tv is perfect so I just kept it. Good luck man

This is why I returned my s90d before I even opened it. I cannot fking stand how these tvs are constructed. Got a G4 but ive yet to unbox it and might return it. I wanted the s90d SOOOO bad but there is no way I could ever live with that flimsy screen. Im way to clumsy. And if you look at the ones that have been on display in the stores, they lean forward from the top. Having the wall mount attached to the bottom 3rd of the tv is such an L compared to having it centered. The whole thing is a mess. I even had one for $1,399 for black friday and still didnt keep it

@@plasmatvforgaming9648 With ZERO upside. If it was flat and flush all the way around you could make an arguement that its super sleek and cutting edge for flat mounting on a wall. But aside from that, the ONLY upside to the tv the way it is currently constructed is that Samsung saves money on shipping and storage. That is IT.

**A lux-meter app is not a reliable measuring device**
_Please_ have someone measure your panel to get a definitive answer before returning just because of ANA 682.
Otherwise you're returning perfectly good Gen 2 (~1350 nits) panels.
_If_ all panels are Gen 3, then yeah 682 = 1500 nits, but we dont know that for sure yet.

    • @plasmatvforgaming9648
      @plasmatvforgaming9648  18 днів тому +1

I know that for sure for these reasons: the Lux Light Meter app measures exactly the same in all tests as my S90C Gen 1, the full screen brightness of S95C and the test of the numbers I recorded are far higher (accuracy doesn't matter when the difference is so big); the way the screen reflects the flashlight of my phone is not like S95C, it's definitely Gen3; also the clipping point after then HM Pat Peak w PLUS adjustments is the same as S90C

I don't understand, you had problems with transport from the very beginning. Why don't you buy and check the TV in the store? When I bought LG C1 I asked to check it in the store, I looked at it calmly and I bought it. I did it because I ordered the TV for the first time by transport and the carrier called me personally (he didn't have to) to tell me that the package was damaged, so I gave up and he didn't have to come anymore to hear it in person. The conclusion is that you buy this type of equipment in person.
