Great tutorial Kevin! You can save a lot of money doing it yourself! Thank you for sharing!
For sure thanks Paul.
That is excellent but I think I would mess up..lol. The guy doing it is obviously very skilled. Maybe I will try.
I don't know what we would do without these and heli coils. Many a project saved and thousands saved eh. That was one slick install my friend. Thanks a bunch and give whoever put the wrong plug in there the what for eh, LOL. Thanks Kevin !
That worked great first time for me.
Awesome video! Excellent tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment Paul
I got one of those kits. It came in real handy when I still had my 69 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup.
I bet thanks Daryl.
More great info, thanks Kevin. I hope you all are keeping cool, it’s been hot and humid here. Be well my friend.
It's hot here to air is on we will have snow before long thanks Hatch.
Thanks, This is very helpful and also great camerawork. :
Thank you abordercollie 1.
Good video- that's how my Dad taught me less the UA-cam addition. Been very useful in my days. Thanks for sharing.
Save a lot of money doing it yourself.
I’ve used these a couple of times on a unibody vehicle. They work great and have lasted several years.
That was my first time awesome tool thanks for the comment Slappppy.
😊 that's perfect. Thanks
Glad you like it!
Thanks for the comment.
It's really good video content. However, Time Sert is too expensive. In the end, I chose SENNMONN's M12X1.5, and you can totally refer to your video for usage. It's very helpful, thank you.👍👍👍✊
Thank you for watching.
I've used heli coils before but never seen a kit like that. Very cool. Informative video. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
PS: How are the peeps doing?
The advantage of these over helicoils is that these will basically never come out with the bolt so they're a lot better on service parts or drain plugs.
The peeps are doing great Gerard thanks my friend.
Very similar to heli coils which I have had to use more than I care to admit.
I have used the heli coils to this was my first time using the Time Sert it worked great on leaks.
@@Robinson-Homestead I am always learning something new here :)
Great Video, how is the time sert standing up to this point? Did you have any problem with metal shavings after?
All working great no issues Mark thanks for the comment.
Thumbs up. Nice demo. what was the length of the insert used for this 4wheeler. Going to do one myself
I'm sorry I don't remember.
No worries. Got my kit. Just waiting for this weekend. Thanks again for the awesome video
I've done a lot of these and the only thing I did differently is that I never used air to clean the threads. Before the insert is installed I used a long q-tip (looks like a swab used for covid testing) applied grease to the swab and used it to clean the threads. Then used isopropol alcohol on another swab to remove any grease to make sure all shavings are removed.
Thanks for the information Albert.
So I heard this is the best way to repair a oil drain bolt what makes it better than the rest
Not sure all i know is that it works well.
I'm probably going to try a cheaper way
Do you order the same size kit as your original oil plug? For example if my original plug was m12 x 1.5 is that the kit I need ?
Mark, yes that is how to order it, thanks for watching.
What size/kit would I need for a 2007 Honda Foreman 500?
14mm
Question.. Do you have to dissassemble the engine to do this or can you do it with engine on chassis?
You can do it with the engine in the chassis just stand the bike up and do it.
Will this work on a 200cc yamaha blaster
You need to look up size of your bolt that will be the size you'll need.
Hi there can you tell me the name of the tool he use to screw the hole?Im talking about the tool in his hand thank you
Sorry Here is link for the tool.
