@@CumminsDriver you are awesome! Thanks for responding! I just strpped out my pan by overt overtightening the drain plug for the oil pan so I’m pretty much in the same place. Can you give me a reference number or anything like that for the part?
@@CumminsDriver ok I actually seen your link on the bottom so scratch that part. I think my plug on my Honda F3 hundred was a 17 or 18 mm did you bore the hole in the pan smooth before you threaded it or just put it in and thread it sorry for so many questions, bro this is been a hell of a thing, thanks again
@@damon224 Sorry im a little slow this time but yes, I just let it cut new threads, I didnt do any drilling. Its close enough to the original size to just kind of cut itself in. Hopefully that link is still good because they quit carrying the exact one that I bought right after i bought it unless theyre back in stock. Good luck, i hope it works well for you
Yes you are correct, it will leave a small amount of oil in the bottom when draining but I decided it wouldn't be a big enough problem to worry about, also you could use a tube down the fill hole to suck out any remaining oil if needed. And yes I agree the metal washers will last much better than the rubber o-rings. Good luck with your fix!
Well I just went back to the link I used to purchase this and all it shows now is metric sizes. Im not sure why they would stop offering the 1/2" kit. If you google you should probably be able to find other 1/2" options but unfortunately i cant help you with finding this exact kit, Sorry.

Did this to my 2009 Rancher today. Thank you!!
Thanks for the comment, glad it worked out for you!
Had the exact same problem on my 2006 rancher 400, thanks for the video
Thanks, it seems to be a pretty common problem so i was hoping it would help some people with the repair.
Looks like a good repair should be good for a while
Looks like a nice repair should last a while I would think
Nice solid fix seemingly , time will tell .
Thanks, so far so good!
Where you get it from?
Will not use the rubber gasket, it will deteriorate in time and leak.
Plug still working well for you ??
@@damon224 yes no issues at all from this repair so far 👍🏻

@@CumminsDriver 👍👍👍
What’s the wed site for it I have a 21 rancher I need to do it to
Doing mine now, will not be able to drain all the oil with the shank in the engine block. Tapped with a hole in the thread shank would fix that issue.
