I feel like most of the recent Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons game have not been doing the best on giving us deep characters (with a few exceptions). Hopefully since there are only 8 marriage candidates, they will be more fleshed out with interesting backstories.
Definitely miss the old games with massive lists of dialogue from NPC. The three repeating quotes and heart events that all just tell one long story killed😊 me.
I really excited for this! Love the graphics! Hoping that I can play it on my tablet (it's a few years old), just because I want to play it on a bigger screen than my phone!
I wonder if Natsume has taken some inspiration from Mario Kart for iOS, re-using maps to create new DLC fro Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch. A recycling of graphics. However, I don't really care about reused assets as long as the game is good. I really enjoyed Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories, so I have high expectations. Also no in-app purchases sounds really good! Hopefully the game will be well-tested before release to avoid lots of bugs. If they do both no nickle-and-diming and a good and stable video game, I will be very excited! Also I am so happy that the game is a departure from the open-world farming sims. Not everything has to be open-world! Hopefully with a smaller roster of love interests and a smaller town, characters can be more fleshed out. My fave parts of Harvest Moon is character interactions, cozy worlds and solid fun farming.
Have you heard of the farming simulation game called song of the prairie which is currently in early access? What do you think about song of the prairie?

Personally unfortunately I wouldn't count on it because Seeds of Memories was never released on consoles. Especially with backlash with the price difference between PC and Console that they explained as Console was Special Edition and then PC got the same version anyway. I don't see them either charging less on Console or Console prices on Mobile because it would absolutely die on Mobile if so. Seeds of Memories was $10 on mobile while the 3DS games were $30 on release. But who knows? I just don't think it's likely based on previous stuff.
I'm pretty excited for it. The plot sounds very promising. Personally reminds me of what Pioneers of Olive Town was going for (before tacking on the makers and other junk that imo killed it). The graphics don't bother me much, either. The character and animal models are definitely the same but the world looks polished and different enough - better even!😊

I'm so curious how it'll feel to play! Especially if it only stays on mobile. Well, guess I finally got the motivation to start my phone version of stardew (since i couldn't help but buy it for the third time...) Also, I wonder if there will be future update for adding bachelors and bachelorettes 🤔 and i wonder if they'll do time limited events, like other mobile games, or if it'll be like a normal game, but just on mobile. One thing I hope for at least! If there's only 8 romance options, I hope they're more fleshed out, bc I can do with smaller cast but bigger characterizations!
I hope the controls are as good as stardew mobile. Stardew really adapted the controls to make mobile a (mostly) smooth experience including offering multiple control schemes and changing the UI. Some mobile games play like they were made for PC or console and then just slapped into the app store with very few tweaks.
I'm not much of a mobile gamer so I'll probably pass on this one, but it looks really good for a mobile title! Hopefully people who do more gaming on their phones have a good time with it, and it's honestly something of a relief that they won't be doing microtransactions in this game. More mobile games like this, please!!

Anyway this game looks so much like winds of Anthos, those are the main characters with different clothes aha not that is a bad thing, it looks less empty with more plants it seems... XDD and i do like Hugo a lot! he looks very cute. How they are planning to earn money with this game? if they are all free to play i don't see how this will work good for them 🤨

It will definitely be interesting to see if it’s the same Braden or if they change his background a bit. You know Harvest Moon 64 to Back to Nature did a similar thing of reusing characters but changing their families and backgrounds.

I just wonder if they have improved on the npcs personality - I loved wind of Anthos, but I felt all characters, specially the bachelors/bachelorettes but their personality was as seasoned as a plain chicken breast.
I hope there’s more customization for the main character 😅 it would be nice to have different hair styles and faces. If not, I’ll feel like I’m playing the same character from Winds of Anthos.

Technically none of the NPCs are from the Winds of Anthos. The main characters are the same, but not the NPCs. Braden is from One World. Hugo and Harriet are new.
@@chiharu_yukimaro I mean, a lot of the older games did this exact same thing. I think it’s gonna be like Harvest Moon 64 to Back to Nature. Kind of a port, kind of new. It could also be be like Magical Melody, that had a mix of returning characters and new characters.
I’m excited for this. Winds of Anthos was fun but something more grounded in a single town is best I think
I have to say, they've definitely stepped up the quality of the graphics and art style. Hopefully the gameplay and NPCs are improved too.
