Hindi video - deals with the requirement of fasting while doing a lipid profile test and what will happen in case the patient is not fasting before the test.
Thank you so much sir. Very nice equation and explanations. I had Lipid profile test 2 days before. In the morning at 8AM by mistake I had 3 kazu Katli sweets and 2 spoons of Zincovit syrup with water. My blood collection time was 9:30AM...which 1.5 hours later of this sweet intake. I called the testing lab guy and informed that I had sweets by mistake and whether blood collection can be done next day. They informed me that taking swet is not an issue and took blood for test the same day. The results came and I saw Triglycerides is 414 for me. Kindly let me know is the results affected by my intake of sweets before 1.5 hours? Thanks and regards Ranganath Banerjee
Just repeat triglycerides. Yes sweets do affect triglycerides. However a value of 400 as such is very bad , even if it is not fasting. Do a fasting sample to know the correct value. To the best of my knowledge the value in fasting would be more than 275 at least, and that it self is not good
Sir my name is amir main madical lab main work krta hun aj AK bllod group ka rh fector pahal positive Aya us k bd negative ho gea test 5 br Kea kuch smjj nae Aya kya resin bni bta skty ha ap plz ab dobra phr Kea hlqi c agglotination hoi
Can we give sample for lipid profile between 10-12 hours? Or we have to wait for atleast 12 hours before giving sample, please clarify this doubt.thanks
10 to 12 hrs. No problem. Tg would be slightly high, not not very much. If ldl is calculated that could also be slightly low. But clinically no difference
VLDL got after 12 hrs of fasting = total triglycerides .And in VLDL holding every 5 unit of triglyceride has 1 unit cholestrol,so total triglyceride or total VLDL divided by 5 gives the amount of cholestrol found in all VLDL.Thus cholestrol amount in VLDL is got.
Thanku sir.. apka images k through samjhana.. topic ko bhut simple bna deta h .. or long time tk yaad bhi rhta h
