Technically most/many of this might indeed be IP-infringement. Nonetheless, if Hasbro would be taking action, they would be stupid. Having the possibility to purchase these add-ons makes HQ only more interesting and attractive.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind fan-made reprints of the Knight character. Avalon Hill made an official statement that they would not make/sell more and the only way to get a legit version would require $200+ from a scalper.
Heroquest already made a reprint of the knight character though, he's in the Dread Moon expansion. Which also has the best mini in the game, the Elf Assassin.
Some lovely stuff 👌 difficult to know what to go for. I especially like the redistributed dice. These could he great for a hero powering up over time. Eg Barbarian with Broadsword Attack 3 White dice; then onto a next campaign it becomes 2 White + 1 Purple for Attack etc.
@@AshQuest Specifically it's the kind of dungeon you put people in that you want to forget exist. They are rarely bigger than just big enough for a person to barely fit. The only access is a hatch at the top. They also were part of the castle sewer system, a little chambers existed because they were necessary for building. They were also used to clean out clogs if there were any. Sewage would pour on top of prisoners and down a grate in the floor. After the prisoner dies their corpse decomposes a goes down the drain too. So you can just forget about them.
I’m having a great time making my own physical board and resculpting things just because I enjoy doing it. I’m making magnetic walls and stuff. I’ve got a long way to go but it’s a lot of fun!
I picked up several sets of the multicoloured dice from Germany. I love them, but haven’t quite set rules to them yet. It’s nice to give stronger enemies the double bunny shields for blocking.
I bought that Elite Bundle from Minis 3D last year. Good quality prints, and they threw in a random mini (with a retro HQ base) as a gift. I saved the shipping box because it was so nice. Later on, I'd be experimenting with custom minis to print, and I realized the origin of most of them! The Knights were made with Eldritch Foundry, the Bard on Hero Forge, and the Druid is an original design by Across the Realms. I don't know about the rest. It is a shame, not getting a demon form mini, but the warlock herself was a fun challenge to paint. She's a bit tall to be a halfling, but her crouched position and billowing clothes can help sell that image.
Every completionists nightmare - I have somehow lost the Fire Ring card. Does anyone know the best/cheapest way to replace that one single card (2021 version)?

The walls you spotlighted early on are terrible for heroquest. They're super thick, you need walls that are about 3mm thick for them not to get in the way of play on the map.
I got one each of the powered up dice. Orange, pink, green, blue, and black dice. I use these for when spells give one an additional defense or attack die buffs. Green is strong defense and black is strong attack. But as added "chaos" I could put them in a small bag for heroes to randomly take one out whenever magic adds a die. Then they only get reset when they have all been chosen. How would you run them? I also found some custom spell cards reproduced from the Ye olde Inn database which have allowed some of my DnD friends to "port" over some characters. Like this: Their characters walked down the wrong ally and fell through a trap or portal and were transported to another dimension (temporarily). Things are different now. Their magic seems to have changed. Some spells work, some don't. Their weapons and armor feel different almost like they were wearing them for the first time or like they belong to someone else. Then I let them use their own minifig. I give them some spells from the main elements or some from the custom illusory spells, Woodland, Golden, or Foresight. I just hand them some spells that are close sounding to their dnd character. After all not everything works here in Heroquest. I give them some attack dice and a character sheet (if they REALLY want to keep something like a magical weapon i might let them use a powered up die naturally). Then, I tell them they can only use a spell once per quest, so be careful. Any gold and items they can keep to bring back to their party as proof of their tale. When they get transported back their new stuff is all made of plastic or cardboard...oh no!😅

I got some 3D prints of the class chaos warrior for painting. Amazing sculpts.
I don't tend to use the heroquest board when I play the game.I use warlock tiles and loads of dungeon accessories from various companies.
When I got those named characters, they came on plain bases. I like the cobblestone ones.

Traps are cool but you can’t really use the ones in the middle of a tool that have wall attached…almost only for corridors
