- A Pennsylvania Novice Division Amateur boxer (under 10 fights) sparring a local professional from Allentown Pa at pedone's heavy hitters. He took it easy at first, but he had to pick it up once I started connecting with some powerful shots. Jordan Demko

People have to understand that the grey shirt guy isn't there to crush him. He's just there to help the amateur practice. We have pros at my gym that spar with us. They could easily unload, but it wouldn't prove anything, since they're PRO! They give us tricks and tips, but trust me they don't even break a sweat.
I understand what ur talking about, but many amateur fighters with bigger achievements are way better than those "pro" fighters who just do the whole stuff coz money
theguythatcould makes sense bro
Juhasz Martin . totally mate. 10 percent are great, 90 percent are punching bags that the amateurs that fight commonwealth, worlds and Olympics would destroy
Both bad fighters if you want to even call them that other than children. Both too scared to engage and end the fight quik. Just coward and weak fighters as usual :). Na nothing to do with pro. Fighting is mostly speed, brute force and fearlessness. This is why no matter the amount of training you have if the other person is fast, strong and not afraid to get in your face and break your body and bones then good luck. Some of us will literally eat you :). I claim world's best boxer and would challenge anyone if they want but won't end well for you. My punches may kill you so if it's a risk for some good money I would fight any pro :).
@@vladimircrist2297 Jesus fucking christ, don't you get depressed immediately after hitting the Send button when you try to impress a bunch of strangers online with a set of lies?
I feel really sorry for you, and sincerely hope you can get out of that pit of despair and sadness you call a life.
Start by being honest, even online. Good luck buddy :)
Very nice sparring, respect to the pro fighter who showed restraint.
The video is sped up 20% lol
The Forms Nah bros, I’m the guy in the back with the white shorts. This is how fast they moved.

The pro was a good sparring partner because he let the amateur strike too, he tried to balanced the match
I like pros that do this and know how to teach an amateur to look for openings. Pro had nice head movement when he turned it on.
That's how you train. You let each other work. You practice moving around their shots. Instead of having a one upmanship battle. You can't get better when the other dude just smothers you with barrages or if you don't let your sparring partner work
I don't think the "pro" had a choice he was getting atted up and the grey shirt definitely was exhaustingly tired from all of the blows he was being delivered to easily.
Dude in grey is the pro. Notice the difference in technique, combinations (watch the jab as well) and how comfortable the guy in the grey shirt is at any distance, ESPECIALLY how calmly he maneuvers out of the way of punches at very close range. He slowly applies pressure and uses different angles and combinations. I give the man in the grey shirt kudos, he let the other guy get punches and combos in while showing him what to look out for and the counters that he can be prone to. Great video.
Pro has fucking amazing jab
You can clearly see the grey guy isn't going all in, he's a pro, calm and fast easy strikes while the red one is little more tense, wastes to much energy on thimgs, nice fight :) great experience for amateur fighter.
Milenijus Bankuhenas dude in the red is ass...head hunter, didn't throw a single bodyshot.
@@sandinhudson9752 I'm sure you'd do a lot better than him.
Great vid, thanks.
3:57 looks like he's practicing on a heavy bag. I'd love to have these moves, so precise and simple!
man the power difference is huge between the amateur and the pro and the resistance to take punches and block slip is a lot better in the pro , but this amateur fighter is very good fast handed nice sparring session
Pro fighter obviously very smooth and experienced, but the amateur fighter pulled an awesome effort! Well done!
amazing jab fast and accurate..!
nice sparring session...tried to do this bobbing and weaving in muay thai class today and got a head kick lol
Gotta know the right moments to use boxing movements in Muay Thai. Check out the way guys like Anderson silva and mcGregor use em. Never unnecessarily
It's called timing
I did that same shit at my firat class haha. Coming from a boxing background deff gives you some "bad" habits where muay thai is concerned.
There are some Muay Thai fighters who successfully implemented head movement and boxing footwork in Pro Muay Thai. Samart Payakaroon and Somrak Khamsing. Those are the most famous ones.
@@imightdeletethislater3810 yep, just gotta know when to turn it on and turn it off
Amateur did well reading the jab at 3:26 and 3:31.. Pro needs to look out for those counters
Still more entertaining than a Mayweather fight.
This vid got me into boxing
+sizzla88 Are you a professional or an Amateur boxer?
that's cool.
I was told boxing is a dying sport.
I got into it recently. it's not easy, even when you're already in good shape.
you either make it or you dont.
I watched this video as a newbie getting into the sport.
+brian for real What makes you say that? Me and group of friends are also getting into boxing!
Boxing is the most Spartan form of training of all sports. It is the most difficult of all sports.
Those wanting to break into boxing should invest in a good jump rope
Me: a fight with my brother got me into boxing
Love this video !! Well done to the rookie for standing after that heavy cross in round one + surviving 2 rounds
Grey shirt is the pro. He’s always ready to strike, but patient. Watch the feet. He glides around effortlessly.
Great session from both fighters... this is exactly how you get better..
Homeboy in the gray started slow but when he lit up that upper-body movement and got the jab going he made it clear who was runnin business..
this is what i like to see guys keep it up both of you
Good fight! Even the amateur guy is doing well. But the pro is impressive though.
I got smashed by one of the semi-pro guys today at training, to the point where he looked effortless. I’ve been boxing 7 months - I wondered if there was actually a point to it?
That jab is fucking sick.
Great vid, thanks!
You can tell the guy in grey us pro within 8 seconds
fullmetal891 True
The professional's dodge is really impressive. Very good.
Holyshit look at all those trophies in the background
This is proper sparring. Working on various techniques rather than in there to try and knock a guy out. It's surprising how many so-called 'boxer's' don't know how to pull back when sparring and start swinging to air condition the place.
Nice! I've only been boxing for a short time and I really notice the speed of the fighters.
Great video I'm going to have my first amateur boxing match in 3 months I'm super excited!
Both look handy. Good work guys
Fantastic head movements!
Nice head movement and combinations from the guy in the light gray. Excellent job by the other guy too. Good job guys.
very nice video clip! I enjoyed watching
great vid, thank you
good sparring I learnt alot just from watching
good session. Glad to see the pro not follow up after he shook him up a little bit. Some guys do and it really doesn't help anybody. Good work from the amateur- nice learning experience.
Very entertaining match, better then most fights I pay to see these days -_-
I like how the guy in grey knows how to really keep the distance between them when he does a jab or a straight. When he squares up and covers himself I feel he doesn't function best from that position, but I think he's trying to go easy on the amateur. His head movement is good too. Love the strong combinations from red guy. Both great fighters.
This isn't competition. This is sparring, so it's a learning experience.
nice combinaison at the end !
Wow, those are some quick jabs.
Many can't hold back. Their reflexes automatically counter attacks even if he doesn't want to. Red kid's lucky to have such a great sparring partner.
That looked hard. Good job.
Nice work man!
I tip my hat to pugilists for having the fortitude to even get into the ring. I can clearly see the pro was giving the amateur some work while not turning it all the way up on him. That is good for building an up and comer without breaking his spirit.
I like the idea of amateurs sparring pros because eventually that's what you move up to when you finished the amateurs anyway. good sparring. I was looking on youtube for good spars and i found some good ones like this and the star gym uk boxers out on youtube they are who are good for their ages (12-16) in my opinion with no head guards and stuff. really entertaining. Great video man :) i shall now look for more entertaining spars ;) wish me luck
If only every boxer had this quality sparring from more experienced boxers! If older boxers took the time to give youngsters their time in the gyms, we could have experienced sparring partners who are aware of rookie's difficulties help overcome them. All done with control and calmness. With an helping mindset.
Love it. Wouldn't like to fight the pro. He's damn fast
did someone fart at 1:53
Brandon Smith hah
i thought i was the only one 😂
Me, but how did you know? I though I was alone in my bedroom.
Lol
¡Guy in black gloves moves good!. Nice vid bro.
Loved that Combination on 3:58!
Never underestimate the power of an Amateur boxer. I saw a really good Body builder vs Amateur video where the first time the boxer threw a punch, the body builder was knocked out
+James Toney i saw a construction worker ko-ing a chess player. don`t underestimate them
The MVP LOL
the pro fighter is a good guy he took it easy with you,as in he held alot of power shots back, and he classed you in defense and attack without having to rip your head and body to bits ,that's a great guy right there knowing to guide you and not destroy you ..top effort
thanks roger
great sparring well done boys
The guy in the red did great considering he was a novice! Great work fellas
Good Job. This guy was going easy on you though. His technique is super smooth, very accurate and respectful. He could have hurt you at any moment during the sparring and only picked it up because you landed 2 hard shots. He was still a gentleman about it. Great sparring partner to have
awesome sparring
good work.... Good work.... :0
Good sparring session!
The one who takes 100% control of the fight every time he decides to let his punches go. He's just moving with the guy and giving him some work
Good Representation of pro and amateur :)
very nice sparring...
magnifique combat 👊
@Comingtoyaaahaaa i honestly thought you were the pro until i read this comment. your footwork is excellent! on balance and lots of angles/movement. really good work bro
of course, its provides a little bit more cushion but it is mainly to prevent cuts
I think you looked very tidy for long periods of each round until fatigue set in a bit. Well done mate. Keep up the good work.
nice sparring vid!
I like it good head movement and good combinations good session that's how sparring should be
the guy in the grey reminds me of holyfield for some reason..good vid!!
So I’m the guy in the white shorts. The dude in red is a division 1 wrestler who blew out his shoulder and couldn’t wrestle anymore, so he took up boxing. This is him training for about a year and holding his own against a pro.
any idea what happened to these guys? did they go far as pros?
Sweet right hand at 1.40!
Very nice
Those corner posts look dangerous! =-X
grey shirt has great head movement!
@xlilnetx Nah man, I've sparred at a few gyms and it doesn't always get serious. It depends on each person's personality... some guys go nuts (especially when sparring at a gym that's not your own) and it turns into a fight, others are more sensible and it stays as a technique workout.
The guys in this video are definitely keeping it nice and relaxed and not trying to take each others' head off.
And yeah, 5 jab doesn't do much but it at least gives the red guy a chance to think.
Red guys pretty solid but you can really see the power from the grey guy's punches.
@gatoralley01 Tomorrow's my second time. Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely keep it in mind :)
Nice sparring!
Both of them are fine boxers
the grey shirt guy is boxing just like Bob Foster!!
They both are great boxers, they have very good techniques, i'll sparr next friday with pro for the first time, i hope i do good.
Although the amateur had solid fundamentals, the pro had such good head movement, timing and range.
@Comingtoyaaahaaa : Dude very nice level you have, for the first part of round 1 I thought you were the pro!
Might want to think about uppercut-hook-straight combo, plus uppercuts and straights when he covers up. And please, learn to cover your liver. Key to this, IMO, is keeping your chin tucked in, which makes it a lot easier to cover your liver and your chin with your right, plus it makes bobbing, weaving and slipping more effective, makes you more elusive. Weave with your legs (not like the pro) so that you'll have power in your counterpunches coming out of it. You got some good hits in.
What kind of head gear were you guys using? A few friends of mine want to invest in getting some new gear and a head piece is one of them.
Thanks
Buen sparring.para ser amateur lo hace bastante bien.saludos
They are both very fast though, Technique looks very solid from both.
+MrQwerty2524 guy in grey cuts off the ring very well + good head movement. calm under pressure.
guy in red has good evasive movement + a decent jab.
@Comingtoyaaahaaa
Didn't see all those swords and axes before! Bet those metal posts helped fighters avoid getting stuck in corners when fight night arrived.
this is real sparring...
When you spar do you have to go your hardest ? Is it like a regular boxing match but with head gear or are you not supposed to go to your fullest potential, if that makes sense?
Im thinking about starting to box but I would like to learn a little about the sport first.
He's hand is down... Counter is jab with a right then pivot away or throw combos after the right...
Nice sparing
@phillyshell94 yes you do if you dnt want to wear 1 u can shadow sparr or jus body...
he did great, i used to spar with 4 times national champion so i know how it is to fight some1 with really great aura it's like he's bigger even though we were same weightclass, if not being defeated by that pressure being able to land punches not be a sitting duck and ofcourse learn u had a good sparring sesion
Both very talented, the guy in the grey t shirt is very skilled and sparring with control. Love boxing such a hard art to master, they make it look easy! does any one know there names?
The grey boxer fights with that old school style.
damn i had to sign in to comment that this is one of the bests sparring matches ive seen on youtube.although its oly two rounds its exciting from beginning to end.what i wanna know is what weight division these guys are in.?anybody?
150 to 155
@Comingtoyaaahaaa do you have to wear a mouth peice ? when sparrring what if you dont want too?
the black guy in grey top is well good ! u can tell how he mones, nice and fluid
GREAT sparring!!!! Good job, the 11 people who disliked this don't know shit about boxing and probably have never stepped into the squared circle!!!!
Nice little sparring session there. The guy in red needs a bit more lateral movement to avoid getting tagged.
