Thank you for this video. A family member has a descending tear all the way down to the hip area. They was complaining of chest pain, back pain, and stomach pain as it they ate bunch of spicy peppers. What procedure do you think would be the best course of action for surgery the first one that you mentioned or the stents?
My husband has a metallic valve. He had the open heart surgery about 6 years ago. Last week, he suddenly got aeortic dissection type b. He is now being handled in a govt hospital. I want to know how to maintain his blood pressure, when he's discharge n living his life again.... Please help me. I feel that he's some kind of lost hope😢
Hi, Sorry for the delay in responding. I'm sure it must be stressful with your husband's condition. I wanted to state that patient's with Type B aortic Dissection do well overtime. I think your husband with the proper medical management will do well. Your question on blood pressure control is very important but better suited for a cardiologist. I do manage high blood pressure but I will defer you to a cardiologist. Good luck.
I have a asending aortia aneurysm. My heart doctor says it is not time for a surgeon. I have had it for over 6 months I know of. It is 42mm right now. I haven't had any symptoms until about 3 weeks ago. I started getting chest pains on the left side, back pain between shoulders, coughs, grounin pains and legs and arms pain with dizziness. I have a shunt that my body did Itself to keep the blood from my liver cause I have NASH. I also have asthma and COPD. Should I get a surgeon to talk to about all my problem before it becomes an emergency. Thank you in advance.
Hi, I sincerely apologize for the delay in responding. I would recommend meeting a surgeon to establish a relationship. I do agree that at 4.2cm you are very far away from needing surgery. Good Luck!
Wonderful explanation. Thank you!
Thank you
