I appreciate you opening up a piece of your personal life to show your inspiration and dedication.
I'm gonna be honest, I always just thought you were a guy who owned a company that made badass knives. And I respected that. However, now that I have seen you collection and your true love of the edged weapon and appreciate the attention to detail and artistry of the old school Japanese swordsmiths, I have a whole new respect for Tony Marfione. And to watch you put that wrap on yourself... I'm totally impressed yo.
Deepest respect to Tony for amazing workmanship and keeping this tradition alive! Lifetime customer for Microtech and Marfione customs.
It was my childhood dream to have such a sword collection. I am so envious right now. Thanks for sharing!
Truly a man that loves and takes pride in his craft, this absolutely shows in his business and why I continue to contribute my hard earned money on his products! I would imagine this culture trickles down through all of the Microtech employees. Well done sir! Fun to watch you work and interesting to listen to the knowledge you have gained through your life! Thank you for sharing, seriously thank you 🙏
Your collection is, absolutely, beautiful, just based on what you have shown. Absolutely jaw dropping. Thank you, very much for sharing!
Iv always wanted a room like that thank you for sharing yours my dream collection.
What an incredible process! Thank you Tony for sharing. Your passion for these arts really show through in this piece.
Honored to have been a small part of it. 🍻
Oh sweet I didn't know Tony was into nihonto. I'm also a Hizen Tadayoshi collector. Collecting swords is what got me into kendo as well as into collecting knives.
Wow. That's the coolest sword I've ever seen.
I feel almost high after watching and listening. Thanks Tony!
Wow! ! Awesome video keep them coming!
I new this man was a student of martial history and blade craft but to see your appreciation for the tradition and the skilled way you apply your technique.........well it's inspiring to say the least. BTW I have bought 2 Microtech's in the last two weeks. A Merlot D/E serrated ultratech and a blue stonewashed LUDT combo edge. Next a Combat troodon is on the list. Who knows after that.....they are great tools and I appreciate the pedigree/company. Thank's for your craft and dedication Mr. Marfione. Thank's for sharing.
That's awesome wakizashi,Tadayoshi makes beautiful katanas and hamon
Very interesting video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill. The video was like a meditation with the background music and the sound of your voice.
Those old school katanas just speak to me.
The time, skill, patience and precision that goes into this is incredible. A long time ago, I thought when the blade is done all you have to do is the handle and it’s probably easy. That’s not the case at all. The handle is just as important
What a collection, I could talk about that all day. I always look for that at gun shows in town. Guys with the older stuff that will tell you the history. Great video
I don't even care if people think these guys are snobs. They're perfectionists and microtech designs are my favorite.
Their customer service is the worst better hope it dosent break AND IT WILL
@@beeferbeefer7903never had a problem with their customer service. Always been quick and easy
@@beeferbeefer7903 I've never had a single problem with their customer service. Maybe you're just slow
I'm really blown away, I had no idea of this part of your interest in blades. I mean, that collection is astounding, and the knowledge and respect you have for the craftsmen and pieces is really cool. Plus imparting knowledge (correctly!) of tsukamaki and overall Japanese style fittings is is awesome. I've wrapped 10 or so tsuka and each one is better, but there is a lot of knowledge dropped in this video that will help anyone getting started or still learning like I am.
I really enjoyed watching the process. I love these traditional techniques and it's important to preserve the knowledge for future generations. The Wakizashi shown is truly amazing.
Wow. That was pleasantly informative. I don’t know anything about these pieces but you are clearly a very good artist and teacher. I’m just now learning about Microtech knives and only have a few XM-18’s and a couple ZT’s so I have a long way to go in regards to learning about fine American made knives. I just wanted to say thank you for the lesson and say I enjoyed your video.
Awesome! Please do the customs video! Would love to see it. I was stationed in Japan and my youngest son was born there. Thanks Tony!❤🔥
Beautiful work, absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and your technique. Very nice work.
Wonderful collection Tony! I did not realize you were a nihonto collector. I have been an enthusiast of nihonto for 25 years. Mito swords are some of my favorites and in my collection Norikatsu, Sukemtisu, Rekko, as well as WWII era smiths such as Gassan Sadakatsu. Thank you for sharing this fantastic video!
Great work 👍 you´re a real master! Thank you so much for share this 😃
Very interesting Tony thanks for sharing your passion with us! 🙏
i don't have any Microtech Knives as i can't afford them and i am always warry of Automatic and OTF knives (as i have fears of them going off in my pocket if i were to fall or some other weird movement triggers the knives to extend/shoot out from safety), but i do love the designs of them and understand the need for such knives in certain environments, i just wanted to say keep up the great work, i have heard many great things about your blades!
My god just gorgeous!! One day I wish to be able to afford a piece like that !!!
Thanks for sharing this amazing content with us I truly enjoyed watching you perform the methods in amazement!!!! Looking forward to seeing future work you’ll be doing!!!!
A damn fine collection, thanks!
Cool! It's great to see some of what all you collect
Great video! Thanks a lot for sharing, Tony.
I really liked this vid, like hearing the background stuff.
That’s phenomenal!!
I did tsukamaki once for a katana I had, it's quite an interesting process. The finish product, is amazing though, the diamond shape was perfect, I was quite proud of myself.
Beautiful work Sir.
A sample of art
That is amazing grind work and Damascus.
Ive been wanting to buy one ever since i started collecting I hope you guys release some more for sale to the public! Such a master piece
Just watching this is therapeutic can't wait to try it
Incredible.

Wow jst Beautiful
Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Marfione Custom “lotus leaf”: samurai inspired otf or even a maybe a fixed blade with lotus leafs “falling down the spine”
Knife buissiness is good ;) nice setup
Always brining the 🔥
Badass.
It’s even more enjoyable not reading subtitles. I wish I could see the placement of the triangles of paper better, but it would look terrible. Very relaxing music and a pleasant voice. Thanks for sharing your collection and experience
I would buy one.
I absolutely luv your MSI and Amphibian Folders; I own 2 Models of each. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
Will prob cost as much as a high end katana. No full stingray wrap? Bummer. Love that hamon on that first katana. Beautiful.
Kinda reminds me of what hand sharpening is for me which almost therapeutic because I have combat related PTSD and it seems to be the only thing I'm able to do which requires my brain to slow down and concentrate rather than racing as it normally is...
❤❤❤❤❤

HI THAT VERY NICE !! THANK YOU . WHERE CAN I GET ONE ?? TODD FROM MICHIGAN
Microtech Cribs?
Is that the 17th airborne div. patch for your logo?
When is the show Tony spoke of? Anyone know?
😎😎😎
Tony how can one of these be procured?
Why not collect Italian or European weapons?
A Marfione Custom Katana…. Bro stop teasing… take my cash already
I have no idea what most of the words in the title mean
Nice collection, but that knife is gross, an insult to call a wakazashi, and the wrap is bad. That's not where the paper goes. Also, someone with this collection should know how to pronounce Edo.
See what the gubment is doing again??? Think you're going back to Japan, huh?🤣
