Man i can't help but change my feelings and view on Tony and his company! I've been so rubbed the wrong way wanting this new MSI knife. Just don't get why a $250 production knife is being released like a custom hand made rare piece. As many knives as they make and the microtech name, I have this notion they could just make enough that your average consumer could buy. I understand they will eventually be dropped to the masses. But man it's frustrating. He is such a model of the American dream! I'm a fan! But Tony, please take my money I want to buy your product!!
I bought an ultra tech a while back. Didn't expect it to be as reliable and useful as it is. I use it every day, and it lives in my pocket. Don't leave home without it.

I’m not a fan of the new camo pattern...I’ve only seen it on screen...but the 2006ish urban, forest, desert camo “overspray” style is my favorite....I only have 2 forest camo Socom Elites....that era of camo pieces rarely come up for sale
I passed on a chisel tanto Socom Elite a years back...seller wanted $700 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Out of the stitch and msi I had and sold the following day because of both having HRCs in the 58s and sharpening about 50 of them in the last 3 months... they are SOFT, it's soft enough that it is noticeably gummy on the stones. Plus the action on both of them is mushy as hell. I received both of mine in the same day, had them poked later that day and sold the next morning lol. If you buy a knife to use and expect serviceable edge retention then you will not be happy.
Tony mentioned “happy equilibrium”.....they have grown quite a bit in the last decade.....keeping a balance of quality, design, and desirability through limited production is their brand....I hope it holds

Could never afford anything worth a shiff precedes to make a fortune off of knives nobody much less youngsters can afford. Way too give back Tony. Crkt atleast has the giveaways and blades by warriors or forged in war. Whatever its called, i call it giving back❤❤❤
Quality control from Microtech has taken a nose dive over the last few years, better do something about it before we all jump ship!

I have a 800.00 Combat Troodon that has rust on the blade.Notice on the high dollar knives he DOESNT put the kind of steel on the knives.
@@knifelyfe6565 improper heat treat can also decrease stain resistance.
M390 is one of the best steels you can get

Nous payons non seulement pour le couteau, mais aussi pour l'expérience nécessaire à sa fabrication
I love, i really love Microtech knives, and a have 2 ultratech (123-16CFS and 121-1DLCTULS) and both of them have so many issues. So many asymmetric parts and inscriptions (on clips). I love the idea and reliability of this knives, but want to ask quality control to pay a little more attention to this moments.
And one of constructive element are really bother me: stop pin into the blade are crash a front edge of a "rail" in the chassis, so upper front leg strike top cover (in my case it made cracks in carbon top 123-16CFS, and i afraid for ultem top in low temperatures). Besides, crashed chassis are made marks on blade. Longer stop pin may fix that. For my knives, that i already have, i really don't know what to do to repair it and make it live longer.
And asymmetric bevels and fullers are really hurts my eyes😢

9:56 I just got my first UTX-85 and knowing how stiff the button is out of the box, this mans thumbs must be seriously calloused to do this all day lol.
